I really don't like to give bad reviews. I know anyone can have a tough day. I know things can go wrong on a single interaction for anyone. But I've had to work with this guy over the course of many visits on many jobs and I'm here to try to save someone else from having to go through what I have.
Four years ago, I purchased a home that came with a warranty provided by the seller. I had several plumbing issues that came up and were under warranty so I called and filed a claim. Johnny was who they sent.
Over the the course of the next couple weeks, time after time after time he showed up extremely late or not at all. I had to remind him over and over about our appointments. I had to hover over him because his work was sloppy and his overall lack of professionalism and his totally overwhelmed demeanor inspired zero confidence. It took him much, much longer than it should have to make the repairs that were needed.
Now, just this week, the water heater he installed died. I've never had a water heater die in 4 years. I called him because he was the installer and the heater was still under warranty. He made an appointment to come out and guess what, he failed to show, leaving me hanging once again. I also learned that he should have installed an expansion tank, which is required by code, but he did not.
Do not use this plumber. He is unreliable, unprofessional, and does sloppy work. Saving money using this plumber will cost you

It is difficult for me to write a negative review online, but I feel compelled to warn others that owner, Johnny's no call/no show history with my appointments over the period of two months is unacceptable. The fact he does not keep his appointment times and you cannot get through to him on the telephone (aImost every call goes to voicemail or his voicemail is full), I have decided to give up trying to connect with him. I am from a general contractor's family, so this experience of unreliability and inconsistency is new to me. Johnny was referred to me by a neighbor, and after discussing these issues with her, we have come to the conclusion he is just too busy to take on projects out of his immediate area of Garden Grove. I would advise he hire someone to answer his calls and organize his appointment schedule if he plans on staying in business. He also needs to be considerate that his customers work as well and have families to take care of, so when he does not keep his appointment times or chooses not to show up or call affects others in a family as well!

The ONLY reason they're getting one star is that Yelp won't let me give zero stars. Johnny is the WORST contractor! DO NOT HIRE HIM FOR ANYTHING! He advertises that he has his license ( CA license # C36 = 968067), but according to the Contractors State License Board his license has been expired since 12/31/2019 (https://cslb.ca.gov/OnlineServices/CheckLicenseII/LicenseDetail.aspx?LicNum=968067). We had Johnny and his team work on the to repipe all of the pipes in our house recently since we were having an issue with our hot water. He told us that it would take 5 days to repipe our house (2 days for hot water and 3 days for cold water), but instead he ended up being on this job for two weeks. During the time that he worked on our house, he would not keep his promises on when the job would be done by and the quality of the job. He cuts corners and goes back on his word! His work is very sloppy to the point that it feels like he is doing more damage than he is doing repairs. He was ALWAYS at least 1-2 hours late every time he came to the job site. Since he would show up late he would end up working later into the night and complain about having to stay. One of the nights that he stayed late, he got into a heated argument with my dad, was stomping around in our attic, and ended up breaking a hole in our ceiling (picture attached) He would never call to notify us when he is not going to show up and doesn't pick up phone calls when he doesn't show up after saying that he will be at the job site on specific days. He has poor planning and ends up constantly leaving the job site to buy needed or missing parts, sometimes 2-3 times a day, and is gone for 1.5-2 hours at a time. Before leaving the job site, he never checks if the plumbing is working properly. He has poor customer service skills and is VERY rude to his customers. We've texted him MULTIPLE times to tell him to fix a leak that he has not fixed he replies by saying that we're overreacting (picture attached). Overall this experience was not a pleasant one and I do not recommend anyone to hire him!

I was very happy with the service I received, both in quality and cost. Johnny was running a bit late from his earlier appointment but called and kept me informed. He then called when he was about 20 minutes out, which other plumbers I've used have not done. When I'd scheduled the appt. he had requested a picture of the fixture I was having problems with which I thought was smart. No other plumber had done that before. Note this was through my Property Mgt. co.'s home warranty co., and I'd already had 2 other plumbers come out.
He arrived prepared and ready to go. He seemed quite knowledgeable about the problem and fixture and after checking everything out, showed me the visible issue. He got the home warranty people on the phone and made sure they would cover everything. He then installed the new items (showing me old parts and new parts), did it properly and efficiently. I agreed with his points every step of the way.
Afterwards he had me try it out and even insisted I let the water run for longer than I would have in order to make sure the water temp & flow was consistent and how I would like it. He had me try out different temps and made sure I was comfortable using the new fixtures
As I said I'd had 2 other plumbers out from other co.'s prior, and Johnny was the most sincere, seemed to really want to help, kind, and patient. And clean! He wore shoe covers into the house and cleaned up after himself (even better than it was before he got here)!
His English isn't the clearest, but he more than made up for it in eagerness, kindness, and professionalism. And knowledge and working with out the issue. I am so glad he was sent out. We can use our shower again!

Voice RECORDING and in WRITING
Any estimate or promise made by Johnny, you need to make sure have it in WRITING. He will cut corners and go back his words. He is sloppy and not a well planner. Expect Johnny will not come on time. He jump between job and left your problem unfinished. He would not honor his warranty.
1 star for his competitive compared to other.
Save your headache. STAY AWAY from Johnny, United Plumbing.

Johnny is unprofessional and unreliable. His work is questionable and not to code in my experience with him.

Got connected to him through my home warranty. He showed up over 5 hours late without warning. Kept saying he will be here in an hour whenever I would call. He ended up showing up at my house at near 9PM! He showed up with a flashlight. Had to use my step stool and screw driver to access the hot water heater. He did contact my home warranty the next day to tell them it needed to be replaced but I haven't been able to get a hold of him since then. My warranty company has been calling and he says hes been calling and not getting through (Which is a lie, I've never been on hold for more than 3 minutes with my home warranty company) So I basically told him I would transfer service and he said that's fine maybe someone can do it faster. WHAT KIND OF SERVICE IS THAT?!

0 STAR!
The worst person ever. He is not honoring his word at all. From October 9 till October 22 he scheduled 6 appointments with us but some of them he totally forgot about them. At the end when he came he totally destroyed our toilet and said ""since you guys have another toilet at your home then this is not an urgent job for me and I will not schedule with you guys to come again soon"".
I have nothing more to say about this horrible person. Just keep away from him!

Johnny was assigned thru warrenty company. He showed late, did not complete job sharing to return next day and was no show. Three days later when he was to return second attempt I am chasing him down thru warrenty company because he wont answer phone to get him here for a 6-8pm call for which he stops answering his phone and when finally reached he says he will be there at 8:15pm and is a no show again. Use a different company.

Can I give him ZERO star as he never show up even I tried to call him many times. First time, he promissed to come around noon to fix the floor drain that I told him it is emergency and need a look right away. I waited for him until 1pm but not receive any call or text updating he will come or not. I called him 3 times but got to voice mail then he called back and said that he would come a little late, could I give him 30-40 mins. I said it was fine. I can wait. But adding 45 mins, he did not show up or even gave out any words.
