We are a locally owned HVAC and plumbing business catering to Cincinnati, Dayton, and the surrounding areas. Boasting 20 years of experience in this field, we've been in operation since 1998. As a family-owned business, we focus on exceptional service and fair pricing.
Our team is State Licenses in HVAC and plumbing, and we carry all necessary insurance, workers' compensation, and bonding. We are BBB accreditation and are members of professional trade organizations to enhance our training and stay updated on new technologies.
This is Matt, the owner, so I’ll share in the first person. Since we are a small operation, I’m actively involved in daily operations. I possess a State License (License 22147; feel free to verify) in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work, having 20 years of experience. Customer service is a priority for us, and I’ve been fortunate to build strong relationships with our clients. We guarantee our work. I aim to operate an honest, fair, and transparent business. My AC stopped working on Wednesday. I had Apollo take a look and they were extremely adamant that the best course of action would be to replace the unit because it was improperly installed, had a leak and it would be more economical to just replace it versus repairing it. They recommended replacing the furnace as well for a total of 10-12k. I was near tears! I was also skeptical because the unit was only seven years old. So I got on yelp and Apollo had a 2 star rating. United heating and plumbing had a 5 star rating so I called him for a second opinion. Matt was amazing, ethical, caring and helped me to diagnose the issue and got my AC working over the phone! I had him service the unit just in case and he was wonderful. My total bill was $208! When I called he immediately listed off issues it could be and suggested that some companies use a scare/savior approach. He said they give you worst case scenarios and then save you by saying they can replace the unit the next day. That is exactly what happened!! He suggested maintaining the unit with small repairs and making it last as long as possible before spending the money to replace it. I would highly recommend him if anyone has any issues. I am appalled during these times that Apollo would put me at such a financial risk all for greed. I feel like I had a red bulls eye on my forehead because I was a women. With all the issues I've had with subpar contractors it was so refreshing to have someone actually care about what he does and his customers. I feel like I won the lottery! Whew!
Laura M.There's a reason this company has such stellar reviews. As a new customer, I wanted to add in my own to let people know they can ""believe the hype"", as they say.
We contacted United this weekend when our furnace began making strange noises and was only intermittently blowing warm air. We left a voicemail and Matt returned our call within minutes. We described the scenario and he was able to preliminarily diagnose the issue over the phone. He let us know that the part he potentially believed would need replaced would have to be ordered and unfortunate couldn't be replaced immediately. He came out on a Sunday to take a look and indeed the part needed ordered.
He is extremely knowledgeable in his craft and explained exactly what the problem was and how this particular part works to keep our furnace functioning. We have an older furnace. He did not try to convince us that furnaces only last ten years and that it would be best to purchase a new system. He ordered the part, replaced it quickly, and he and his apprentice were in and out of our home in no time. They were both professional, transparent, and kind. Their prices were beyond fair.
They have earned my future business as well as my recommendation

Our AC unit went out recently. He came out that evening after finishing another job to assess. It was so hot he went ahead and tried to do several things to see if we could get it working, but to no avail--the compressor was dead.
He wrote up quotes for us that included pricing for replacing our AC by itself as well as what it would be to replace the AC and furnace if we were inclined. He gave us honest advice on which machine (how high end of one) he would recommend to purchase for our home...which saved us money because it was NOT to buy the ""Cadillac"" as other companies may have advised.
He just left after installing today and I can't reiterate what an intelligent, kind, and professional individual he is (as are the workers he brings with him to complete the job). He always thanks us profusely for the business, asks about how we are doing, how our jobs are going. And no, we do not know this man personally, we found him via yelp!
He is SO knowledgeable about his line of work and explains things so that you understand what is going on and what to expect. He left today letting me know not to worry if my house doesn't cool down until tomorrow because a large part of the job of the AC is dehumidification which will take some time due to the recent weather causing such a large degree of heat and humidity throughout our home. Which is great to know or we may have worried the new unit wasn't working!
I cannot say enough good things about this company or recommend them enough if you are like us, scrolling through yelp trying to find someone fair, reliable, and trustworthy amongst a sea of HVAC business. (Hint: you can stop looking now, call Matt).
Brian S.Yelp reviews pay off again! I have a rental unit and had a new tenant moving in during summer heat. On moving day, the AC conked out. I went over and looked at it and it wasn't running right at all. Fan wasn't moving at all, so no cooling was happening. A glance at my unit was enough to tell me it was pretty old, and I was worried I was looking at an unplanned replacement. I checked Yelp and saw this little place i had never heard of had great reviews, and several people mentioned Matt by name and his no-pressure approach. Seemed like a good fit.
Well, Matt was able to get out in just a few hours and take a look. He gave it to me straight - AC units are good for an average of 15 years, and my unit was 27 years old. But he wasn't quite ready to put it out to pasture. He checked the capacitor and found it had failed. He had one on his truck and replaced it, which revived my 27 year old unit. He checked the freon and added a little to bring it up to full charge.
In just a few hours from when I called him, he had my old unit running like a champ. Of course, he was clear with me that I was running on borrowed time, but a running unit is better than a not running unit.
The reviews here speak for themselves. If you want to be treated well and get the straight truth from a great guy, give Matt a call!

He fixed our unit and had the AC running in about an hour. More importantly, his pricing was very transparent and he even took the time to educate us about proper HVAC maintenance to prevent future issues. -Always responsive throughout the process (getting a quote, scheduling the service, and even following-up after to make sure everything is running smoothly)
-Practical (we had 4 different companies give quotes -- he seemed like the most knowledgeable and came up with what seemed like the most logical and cost-effective approach to the problem. He still provided various detailed quotes for many different options and left the decision up to us. )
-Integrity (he just wanted to help us fix the problem, was never trying to upsell, and was invested in getting the problem fixed the right way).
He followed up after fixing the problem (which had been a broken AC) and I let him know our heater was not working a month later (typical Cincinnati weather). He was concerned it was related to their work (it wasn't), and came out to check things out and diagnosed it for us for free.
Having just moved into our very old house and already encountered countless problems and contractors, Matt was definitely the best we've worked with. We will be using him for many years to come.

I must've got a different technician than the rest of these folks.
AC went out in July 2019.
Called United.
They came out, said it was a bad fan relay switch.
Replaced the part, although it took over an hour.
Said he was trying to ""figure it out.""
Turned the system back on, a loud pop, a burnt smell - he had blown up the new part.
Left about noon, said he'd call back when he had a new relay.
I called Tuesday as I hadn't heard.
He said he'd call me back - never did.
Adams heating came out, found United installed the part wrong and cut a bunch of wires that should never have been cut.
Adams got it up and running and I'm in cool comfort once again.

John S.Matt and his team are life savers! I had bought a great deal of HVAC equipment for my contractor to install, who was then injured and could not complete the work. Most companies either didn't want to install it without selling me the equipment, or didn't want to ""clean up someone else's mess"". United not only took the job, but did fantastic work at a reasonable price.
