Nick is indeed awesome. Believe everything everyone is saying about him - he is a pleasure to work with. We wanted to get a tankless water heater, but Nick talked us out of it - telling us that we'd have to get it cleaned every year for build-up, nullifying any savings we would have hoped for. Having experienced the hard water build up already, we knew his advice was spot on. We let Nick pick out our water heater. This month's gas bill? $19!

It's probably a loss to humanity that Nick isn't a doctor or scientist. But it's your gain if you're an Austinite in need of plumbing repair.
Trust yelp on this one: the guy really is the best plumber (or tradesman for that matter) that I've ever known. Just a few days ago, Nick replaced our leaky bathtub faucet and put in a new main valve for the house. In a little more than a couple hours. At _half_ the cost of the nearest estimate. Artful craftsmanship, very tidy, and a great conversation to boot.
Seriously, trust these reviews -- you will not be disappointed. He's a tradesman who truly cares about his trade AND his customers, and well, he's just plain awesome.

Because of yelp, I called Nick. And along with the other yelp reviewers, I'm now a fan. It took a little over a week to schedule time with him (because he's so awesome), but it's absolutely worth the wait. He came to fix a kitchen sink leak, and completed it professionally, efficiently, and even taught me a few things. His process, from start to finish is second to none. He left the site clean and the plumbing under the sink looks much more "civilized". I appreciate his honesty and work. I'll definitely be calling Nick for my plumbing needs.

I called on Nick based on the YELP reviews. There were other plumbers who could come right away, and I had to wait a week before Nick was available. Yes, he was well worth it. Made me think that all the plumbers I've hired in the past 30 years really didn't have a clue. For sure not the kind of knowledge, professionalism & work ethic that Nick has. He's pretty swamped because of all the good reviews, but again, he is worth the wait.

I thought something was fishy when I saw so many 5 star reviews, but I put my faith in yelp. My water pressure was too high (80-100psi) so I called around and got 3 different bids to install a pressure reducing valve. I didn't need anything done right away so I had the time to compare. Nick's bid was just a little under the other guys, but he took the time to explain what he does, and the parts that he would be using. Being a new homeowner, I want to know as much as possible about what might have been done in the past or future problems that might arise. He is definately a people person and wants to make sure you are happy. He said he wishes someone would leave a bad review for him so everyone would know that he isn't leaving his own reviews, but I don't see that happening anytime soon with the way he works. Those in Austin looking to install a Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) where one wasn't present should know that there is a $100 rebate through the City of Austin, take a look at their website.

Union Jack saved us from ourselves.
We have spent two years renovating our house, and most of the people we have hired were pretty terrible. Union Jack really saved us from ourselves. Water spewed from the spigots when we watered the beds and garden. It was a mess. For about $130, we were set up with vacuum sealed spigots that do not spew, sputter, spray, or splash the water (How's that for alliteration?)...not a drop. There is no noise in the house as well! They also come with winterize sealers already installed. So come November, I will be drinking coffee while the neighbors run around to cover their faucets with towels, tourniquets, and toppers (alliteration... ahhh!).
I do not want to make my new faucets to seem though they are more than they are, but it's pretty nice to keep it all clean, green, lean (That's assonance.)

Nick repaired a leak in our main waterline where it ties into our sprinkler system. Based on the evidence, an earlier unsuccessful attempt had been made to repair the broken PVC. Nick replaced the bad section of PVC with PEX, a more flexible pipe to ensure there would be no repeat of this messy leak. Nick was very professional, explaining the details of the repair before filling in the hole. He did a nice job keeping the job site clean during a very messy task. Overall great experience. Very friendly, yet very professional and serious about pleasing his customers.

Great service.
Left Nick a message in the morning, he responded that afternoon, and he came out the next day and fixed my bathtub leak. The entire process took less than 28 hours.
He was very knowledgeable and entertaining throughout the repair, and the price was reasonable. Would definitely recommend him to others.

Top notch work. I called him about a problem with a toilet in the bathroom in the addition. First, he got some details right over the phone so he could be prepared when he got here. Once he was here, we found out that the problem wasn't just the toilet, it was a severe root problem in the drain pipe (he pulled out a root as long as my arm, it was crazy!). Not only did he step up once we realized this was way more than just a toilet install, he cleared out a massive amount of roots, installed a new clean-out to make this problem easier to deal with in the future, and, oh yeah, he installed that toilet too :D
The only problem? When my girlfriend got home, she liked the new toilet so much that she wants him to come out and replace the main one as well! A quality job by a great guy. I would recommend him in a second to anyone needing a plumber. He did a great job of keeping me informed every step of the way, and his eye for detail was greatly appreciated.

Had to chime in on all the stellar reviews. Nick's exactly as promised...as the English say, he's brilliant. I'm a marketing guy, so was equally impressed by his tagline, The British are Plumbing, The British are Plumbing! as I was by the quality of his work. He found things that needed to be fixed, which I think is the trademark of a great service provider. Very fair pricing, would not go back to my old plumber.
