He just left 30 seconds ago and I can't wait to write an update. :)

He hooked up the plumbing to our two sink vanity and I can't be happier. He took care of what could have been a major headache, really looking out for us. Upon inspection after he was done, he makes sure everything works as it should, no leaks, nothing other than perfect working order. We really appreciate that. He always cleans up after, and makes sure everything is done properly. (I found out about sealing threads and such, which is info the faucet manufacturer doesn't want the consumer to know apparently)

Again, nothing but professional and a great guy, we will continue to call on Union Jack (Nick) any time we have plumbing concerns. And next time, I wont pretend I can do a simple sink hook up 1st, THANKS NICK!

** I called him at 8:45pm, he called me back at 8:45am the next morning and set up service for the next day (My schedule limitations, not his, otherwise he would have been out the same day). **FYI: He's NOT an Emergency, 24/7 plumber ** But will do any plumbing outside of major renovation, and he will wisely refer you to the proper person if need be.

While he wasn't interested in working with me when I wanted to pay half when he completed the work and half when I inspected the work, the work was ultimately done to my satisfaction. In spite of my weariness, I paid him in full before I laid eyes on the work myself. Thankfully I paid with a credit card where I could have disputed the charge if the work was not up to my expectations.

Nick knows plumbing and is a pleasure to work with. He and I neglected to confirm his verbal quote which resulted in a shock when it came time to pay the bill that was 60% higher than anticipated. A good reminder for me and everyone to not get complacent and put too much trust in Yelp.

Nick Green is a Joy to do business with, from playing phone tag to set up an appointment until the time he arrives and completes the plumbing work, he is courteous, thorough, prompt, proactive, and he explains plumbing needs in easy-to-understand terms. He provides a useful service with his customers needs in mind. Very refreshing.

Nick helped during an extremely busy time in his schedule. He made sure all my guests coming over for the holidays wouldn't have an issue with the toilet that my youngest stuck something large and unflushable down in.

Over the phone before his housecall he gave me Plans A and B. Plan A was the cheaper quicker option. I went to Home Depot beforehand to get the new Plan B toilet just in case. Nick showed up and took care of everything according to Plan A. He did the job for a very reasonable price and identified our toilet as not being the one that had a manufacturing flaw.

Nick is punctual, courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. He explains everything upfront; you'll find no surprises in your final cost. I've tried other plumbers in Austin only to be terribly disappointed. Union Jack Plumbing is a class act that stands above the rest.

Can I give more than 5 stars? Professional, timely, knowledgable...Everything that his Yelp reviews said he would be and more! Best plumber ever, period. Just keep in mind that he is EXTREMELY busy due to his glowing Yelp reviews, and might take a bit to get to you, but will refer you to someone else if so. Nick is the MAN!

Isn't it funny when your one-star review mysteriously disappears for no reason? I also ran into the problem that he did not call back, even within the time frame noted on his message. That's something he needs to work on if he wants to have a perfect rating.

Since writing this I understand he has modified his voice mail to include a disclaimer that if he doesn't call back by 8 pm then he will not be able to "get to you." If his business is so great then good for him, but that's not a great way to get new customers. The bottom line is that you're taking a chance if you call him, and you'll have to decide if that's worth it. When it comes to plumbing, sometimes you just can't wait.

This lived up to the Yelp reviews. I was hoping that Nick would call me back. He's so busy that his VM says that if he doesn't call you back by 8 p.m., then he won't be able to get to you. I was lucky - he got to me.

I have used four different plumbers since I moved into my house a couple years ago. Nothing against the other guys. But Nick seemed to know a lot more than the other plumbers did. He seemed to be light years ahead of the others. And it was nice that he had all of the equipment and products on his truck.

So this is a great guy to use as a plumber. Just as happy with him as I am with the A/C repair guy I found on Yelp.

Thanks, Yelp!

I hired a real plumber when we busted the toilet to pieces tightening it. I picked Nick Green at Union Jack plumbing based on his Yelp reviews. He returned my call very quickly, a surprise since many reviews mention how busy he is. We discussed toilets and toilet research (fascinating), he set an appointment, and he had me email him some pictures of a non-draining basin he also agreed to look at.

Nick and his helper called ahead as agreed, arrived right on time and got right to work. He installed the Toto Eco Drake I bought from him, and installed a slow-close seat he'd brought along as well. In the process he taught us how to install a toilet properly, which we clearly had needed to learn. Then he tackled the non-draining vessel lav basin. He advised us that the problem was much simpler than the original diagnosis, and that we could probably fix it ourselves. Before he left, Nick cleaned up and left the bathroom spotless.

Nick's advice on the drain was spot-on -- the lav drained completely when we did what he said. Very happy there. But the toilet. Who knew that a new toilet could make such a difference? The Toto toilet is unbelievable. Of all of the new stuff in the renovated bathroom (glass tile, a cool motion-detector led light in the basin) it's the toilet that gets all the attention. It's not a fancy toilet (no washlet, though that would be cool). It just works. It uses a tiny amount of water but flushes better than any toilet anyone has ever used. And the slow-close seat, which we accidentally got, is a huge improvement to life in general. Not once since the Toto was installed has a guy left the seat up. Seems they like to see it slowly close. Totos are going in every bathroom from now on.

Nick's not cheap, and he's worth every penny. I grew up in a tradesman-free zone: everything was DIY and everyone was expected to maintain the tradition. Not me. I'm calling Nick.

Going to make this short and sweet. Nick is downright awesome! My wife and I had our first plumbing issue since buying our first house and were very nervous about calling a random plumber. Yelp did us right once again by pointing us Nick's way.

We had an issue with a double vanity sink clogging up on both sides. Not only did he fix the clog issue and educate us through the process, but he also noticed our pressure was low and did some adjustments to fix it. So he left our sinks better than when we originally moved in.

We are customers for life! Thanks again, Nick.
