Geri G.Horrible customer service. Only used this company due to insurance on sewer line by NJ American water co. Had this company out 5 times over 3 months, they wouldn't cover the video camera of line unless they came 5xs in one month, asked to see this in writing & no one can produce this! Terrible except for one employee who seemed to know his craft. Had the descaling of pipe to road done by private company & paid 1/3 less than this one quoted, never use them!
Takes forever to get restoration of the landscape done after water line repair. The delays and lack of communication have made this experience frustrating and unsatisfactory.

The technician is ALWAYS late and there is no update unless you call the number they provide and the women who answer are always so unprofessional. The first one was chewing through my whole conversation, I could hardly understand her. The second one was condescending.
The only reason this is two stars instead of one is because I have no complaint about the first technician who showed up. He was really nice, and he solved the issue. Still waiting for the second one...who is late.
I suppose this company doesn't care about their reviews cause they get the water company to keep the busy regardless.
I had a sewer line that was backing up and draining slow. I called my water company to use my service plan. They turned my claim over to Ultimate and I waited for a call to schedule an appointment. And waited and waited. After repeated calls to the water company I was told that Ultimate would call within 30 minutes. 4 Hours later they finally called, and hung up when I answered! I called back and they would not answer. I will never allow them to do any work for me!
Late last summer we were alerted by our water company that we had a water pipe leak in front of our house. We contacted our water company through which we have insurance and they directed us to ultimate drain who came out assessed the problem and let us know that they would be able to repair it but it was not covered by the insurance and would be $6000. This would include breaking the paved driveway, fixing the pipe, and repaving the driveway. We gave a $3000 deposit to ultimate drain after talking to the manager Darrell ( who is a sleaze ball)
. The 1 day job turned into a 4 day job because they were not able to complete it on the 1st day and left us connected to our neighbors Water through a garden hose 3 days (which we called Darryl about and he told us that this was totally normal and not a big deal) finally they came back to finish the job and covered up the broken asphalt with rock which needed to settle for two weeks and said they will be back with the asphalt.
This took place end of November. They finally came back in January after calling them and pleading with them to come and do the asphalt because we did not want it to snow on top of the rock because that would be troublesome to shovel and it's literally right in front of our stairs.
They finally came on a rainy day at 9am with no notice as we're getting ready for work. and we left them outside to do the job. When we came back we noticed that it was cold patch not asphalt. cold patch, which is laid in cases of emergencies and is a temporary fix.
This is still sticky weeks later sticking on our shoes tracking in the house when it rains it rolling off and going in the street. There are divots all over. It's not even basically it's an unfinished poor job. We have called countless times, multiple times a week. We've spoken to Carissa the office manager who tells us she's gave Darryl the messages and not sure when he's getting back to us. I've never encountered an office manager who cannot manage the office. Interesting. We actually spoke to Daryl once I found his cell phone number on a voicemail and he acted like he has no idea what we were talking about. This was the worst experience we have ever had with anyone doing any work at our home and HIGHLY DISCOURAGE ANYONE FROM WORKING WITH THIS COMPANY. It has been a total nightmare.
Main water line broke. Had to hook onto neighbors hose. I had to use Ultimate since they were service providers from insurance i had. They had excuse after excuse not to schedule work. Took me over a month to get work done. Did not return calls ever. Horrible service, would never ever recommend them. Most frustrating experience of my life. Do yourself a favor and choose someone else with a good reputation. Do not and I mean do not utilize ultimate drain cleaners. You might develop High blood pressure.
Kris P.* $175 fee for the visit itself. It goes towards the repair, but if the repair is not performed and a follow up is required, you are now at their mercy.
* Rescheduled on me without notice. I had to text them to verify. No apology.
* They were unable to install a toilet because they claimed not to be able to reach a rear bolt. I later verified with other plumbers and Toto tech support that the bolts are not difficult to reach.
* I tried reaching out via text and call but no response; it's now been 2 days.
I can't be totally sure, but it looks like these guys just didn't wanna do the job, and were happy to collect just the fee.
$175 for the visit fee got me some things at least: they picked up the toilet, they assessed the viability of installation, and they troubleshooted issues with my previous toilet. I just wish they would have gone through with the installation like we agreed.
These guys used to be pretty decent but I guess contractors are in high demand, and they can afford to jerk around customers.
Someone was out to check a plumbing leak, and recommended nearly $1500 in work. The service man never even looked at the water source. With a second opinion, I found that all I needed was a new shower head. Now the leak is gone. I dont blame the service man, he was very kind and patient, but companies are way too quick to go for big ticket repairs and replacements, instead of just trying to take the time to diagnose a problem and fix it.
Jonathan and his partner arrived on time, surveyed the problem, set up their equipment and quickly resolved our clogged drain issue. Afterward, they cleaned up the entire area which other tradespeople hardly ever do. I wouldn't hesitate to have them back if ever needed in the future. Thanks guys!
