Company Overview

The UA was founded on October 11, 1889, as 40 delegates from 23 Local Unions came together in Washington, D.C. to launch the organization.

Plumbing and pipefitting groups from cities nationwide sought charters in this new union.

Our Local 100 received its official charter three years following the International Union's formation.
