My shower head was dripping. I called on Monday afternoon and was given an appointment for Tuesday morning. The plumber showed up on time, fixed the problem quickly and got rid of the part that needed to be replaced. Great service - I will definitely call them the next time I need a plumber!

I had a clogged kitchen sink. The technician let me know the time of arrival. After the technician arrived he noticed i had a problem with the sink hookup underneath and it was not installed properly. He quickly gave me another quote. The price was a bit higher than I had gotten from another company however I decided to just get it done then. He was efficient and made the repair. He was professional and informative.

To start with, this review is WAY over due. Steve was responsive, transparent, and up front about costs, time, and expectations.

Perhaps the work we had done was minor in comparison to others, but we needed help right away, and Steve responded quickly and helped us right away. We had a toilet issue, and my poor attempts did not fix the issue.

Steve came out, diagnosed the problem, and let me know what needed to be done. He was very clear with the costs and time needed.

His repair was completed exactly as he said it would be, and we were very satisfied with the entire experience.

In an age where it seems like every ""professional,"" is trying to get over on the customer, we found Steve's honesty and professionalism to be a wonderful break from that assumption.

I reached out to multiple plumbers via Yelp with a simple request for an estimate for a specific and straightforward project: Disconnecting and reconnecting plumbing and gas lines for a new kitchen countertop install. I received multiple responses, but only Steve from Nova Home responded with the requested estimate. I was somewhat hesitant to follow through due to the low number of reviews compared to other providers, but since they were all positive I decided to follow up. I later learned that Steve's business is fairly new, which explained the lack of reviews. But my experience with Steve from start to finish was excellent. I found him to be very responsive and accommodating, in addition to doing top-notch work. He also identified some other issues with our plumbing which we were able to address before they turned into problems down the line. I rvery much ecommend Steve/Nova Home for your plumbing concerns.

Had a water issue with AC condensation clogged drain and Steve came for the rescue. I cannot recommend him enough. Steven was very thorough and knowledgeable on the work. All was fixed on the same day and I had a piece of mind without breaking the bank. I am such a novice at home care and generally anxious hosting service professionals doing things I definitely should not DIY. Steven Katz was so kind and thorough, very professional, and by way of offering a free general checkup was able to educate me about my dishwasher that I have a distant-hate relationship with. Huzzah! I often solicit projects using Yelp because I get a diverse array of responses from many professionals; some very qualified, some pretty useless. In most cases I'm a DIY die hard but I don't mess around with plumbing and electrical issues and recognize when I need an expert.

After putting out my needs, Steve wrote quickly and gave me a clear and concise estimate, their availability and contact information. Their price was the most reasonable by far and seemed like it was sent by a real human. After touching base by phone, Steve (who is a one man shop based out of Marshall, VA) said he would honor the offer to come out even though he typically doesn't service DC. He came out quickly and first thing in the morning, quickly identified additional issues that needed immediate addressing, worked to procure all the parts he needed and got to work, finishing before anyone even noticed the water was off. Steve replaced a nearly 40 year old main water shutoff valve that was a half turn away from breaking on the pipe, installed a pressure reducing valve to save our skin from heightened water pressure, installed new shutoff valves and helped identify a leaky faucet, and installed a new toilet in less than three hours.

Trained as a carpenter and a plumber, Steve was thoughtful, attentive, and very detailed in his explanation and addressing of our problems. He was kind and friendly and highly knowledgeable. I would recommend him to anyone looking for quality work in the area and he will definitely be back in our home soon (if he's willing to drive to DC).
