I contacted Tweedy Plumbing to get an estimate on a large job replacing old cast iron sewer vent pipes, water shut off, under-ground cast iron pipes and drains, copper water lines, waste and over flow pipe and a broken steel vent pipe along with other work. A plumber came out to assess the job and told me I would be getting an estimate within a few days. After 4 days I reached out to the owners son and was told ""he would get to it when he could"". I finally received the estimate after a week and contracted them to do the job. In the course of the job I was told that some of the work on the estimate had to be completed when the bathtub was removed and the framing was completed. They also had to add additional work to the estimate upon finding other problems which I agreed to. I contacted the Tweedy plumber a few days later, informed him that some of the work was done incorrectly and that the tub removal and framing was complete so they could complete the work on the estimate. The plumber had to return twice to correct the problem with the work and then informed me that per the owners son, ""they didn't know when they could return to complete the agreed upon work on the estimate"". He suggested that I might want to look for another plumber. From the onset of this nightmare, the owner's son, Channin, behaved in a very unprofessional manner and communicates like a child. Tweedy plumbing might be OK for a drain clog, certainly not for larger, more complex jobs.

About 2 years ago I had Tweedy, my go too plumbers, come out and install a recirculation pump which provided my house with almost instant hot water. In order to do this, as I have a tagami water heater, they put in a small electric water heater as a starter pump.
Today I thought it had gone out and called them. They were here within 3 hours and diagnosed the problem, which was a very small issue.
They are always so responsive, clean, funny and fair.

I had David out today to fix a clogged sink. Made absolutely sure the job was done right before leaving, put in the extra effort. Was on time, worked fast, left the area near the clean out spotless. Second time David has done work for us, outstanding knowledge of his trade. Nice to see people like him still who take so much pride in their work and customer service.

David did an absolutely great job of fixing a sink clog that had been bugging us on and off for a few months. He was efficient, handled things well and corrected the problem. He also explained some of the potential issues we might face in the future and how to check if we have a problem. Definitely recommend them in the Newport Beach area.
