For the past month, I got a pipe humming problem which I tried to fix by bleeding
out the water to get rid of the air pocket and/or tightening the toilet valve to reduce
the water pressure but the humming noise temporary reduced and then make
the same noise again after a few minutes or hours. I finally gave up and called
Tweedy Plumbing which advertised FREE estimation! Brett and Kurt came by,
listened to what I had experienced with the problem and suggested it could be
the water pressure being too high or low. They tested it, increased the water
pressure, and the noise is GONE! But the best of all is that they did not accept
my payment because they said that they did nothing special except turning a
screw. I insisted on paying them something but they would not accept. That
is honesty and a class act to me! Thanks guys! I will definitely call you the next

Support local business! I've had the pleasure of working with Tweedy Plumbing on several plumbing projects. They are really good people who do really good work. I have used Tweedy Plumbing for quite a while and had no reason to complain until recently.
The cartridge on my Newport Brass Faucet needed to be replaced, so I called them to do the job, just as I had once before. When Newport Brass sent me the replacement part they noted on the instruction to plumber to only use a silicone based lube on the faucet cartridge and rings.

I showed these instruction to the plumber they sent out. He scoffed and said no problem they use ""plumbers grease"". I didn't know the difference so let him proceed with job. When he finished the faucet spout was so tight I had a hard time moving it with two hands! Also it took so much effort to move it that it was coming loose at the base and a black oil--which, I know now, was a mixture of the grease and water--was oozing out the top handle and mid section of faucet.
Called they came back, worked on the faucet some more and proclaimed it fixed & that I could spray WD40 on it as it was fish oil based, (not true, it's petroleum based!)
OK spout still too tight and very hard to move. Meanwhile grease and water continue to seep from faucet.
Called Newport Brass, they said the plumber must have used petroleum product in spite of what I asked, and that causes the O rings to swell and ruin the faucet cartridge!
I have ended up having to get a new faucet, pay to have another plumber install it too boot!
Will, of course, never use Tweedy again, and you should think twice before you do either.

We had a leak Inside the bathroom wall in our home. The walls were wet and needed to get someone out ASAP. We called Tweedy who was recommended by a the owner of the home and they were able to respond the same day and repair the leak. The plumber was polite, friendly and explained everything he was doing. Great experience.

very nice folks. Shannon answered phone and was very bright and cheery. My needs were immediate of course. Shannon said how about 2-4. I asked for asap. He called back and plumber was here at noon. very nice service unclogging my kitchen sink. I don't know if he was a smell good plumber,but he was fast and efficient. Have tried others but Tweedy from now on!

I owned my home in Costa Mesa for over 10 years and used Tweedy Plumbing on numerous occasions. The plumbers were always very friendly, respectful and professional. I never felt like i was being given the run around or being over charged. They were on time and I never had a problem with any work they did. I was always very satisfied. Their plumber came out and gave me my "" free estimate"". I scheduled an appointment as instructed. I explained that I had nothing in writing on the price, she replied it wasn't a problem because they send the same guy to do the work. Took time off work to meet the plumber - they sent a different guy. This guy explains that the other underbid the job ""as usual"", he leaves - leaving my door open. I call the office. The same gal claims there was a misunderstanding on the price, so they won't honor the bid. She wants me to take more time off work and schedule another appointment at a higher price. FYI I am a general contractor so I speak the language. There was no misunderstanding. These are the type of contractors that give us all a bad name. Stay away!

I called Tweedy this morning and they were over in the afternoon and fixed my kitchen drain. They called 30 minutes in advance to let me know they were on their way.
