I needed a plumber and they sent one out quickly. The plumber did good work, cleaned up and was polite. I asked to have my sump pump changed since the old one was 4 years old and runs often. I was given a quote and accepted it without checking around. After the work was completed I checked prices and their ""flat rate"" (we don't tell you what the pump costs and what the labor cost is just the total cost) was twice what I would have paid at other good plumbing shops. Very unhappy with the cost. Look around before you have them do any work for you.
Kim K.Had tried to replace a bathroom sink drain but still had a leak so figured it was time for a professional. Called on Monday morning and got an appointment for the next day. Jeremy called ahead of time to let me know he was on his way. He arrived on time. He looked at it and got right to work. Even better, he explained what might've caused the leak when I replaced it and how he installs it to prevent a leak. Tricks of the trade, so to speak. Inside of an hour, he was done. No more leak and very happy. We've used Turek's for several plumbing jobs; big & small. We've always been happy with their work and their employees. Thanks!
Frank S.Josh and Eric showed up early. They were both polite, friendly and professional. They quickly troubleshot and repaired my shower leak issue. I asked if they had time to replace a basement faucet I had been dragging my feet on. They happily got right to it. Also tightened a loose kitchen faucet for me. They made Turek's is ""my plumber"".
L H T.Professional and courteous technicians. Masked up during covid-19. Arrive when the said they would. I recommend. Kyle and Dakota did a great job!
I spent 878.00 in March and now I am having similar issues! And they won't Guarantee their past job which I was told was I believe was for 60 days ! Call someone else for your plumbing problems.
Long story short.
Wife called to have Turkek take a look at our water softner which was making loud noises with the pipes when it ran. To see if it could be fixed or the cost to replace. Was told on phone they will come free of charge and give a estimate on a fix and a new softner. They came didn't do anything as there was nothing wrong besides being old. Gave a estimate for a new softner and charged us a service fee of $70. After telling my wife there would be no charge unless we wanted them to fix something.
Going to add more to it. I told my wife that our water softner was just old and needed to be replaced sooner then later. Told her not to call anyone as nothing is free. She said they will take a look for free and theres no harm in that. On the phone they told my wife they knew the problem and delt with this issue allot. When the plumber got here he looked lost. Told me he didn't have a clue what was making my pipes rattle when the softner was running. I told him I researched it and it was air from the water softner and its just old on its last legs.
He looked so confused like this was his first day on the job. Touched my pipes moving them like something my kids would do if they were solving this great mystery. I told him you guys told my wife you knew the problem and delt with it all the time. Plumber said in all my time I never seen anything like this. I had to hold back from bursting out and lauphing.
Then it hit me I was in a Seinfeld episode and George Costanza was my plumber. This plumber the second he got here knew there was nothing wrong so he put on a show to drag things out to justify him charging me.
Touching pipes on the ceiling, touching my water softner, acting lost, confused. Making a noisier water softer feel like its one of the biggest mysterys in the world. He stalled and delayed walking upstairs in my bathrooms making things up that could be a problem like looking in my toliets.
Then after the show he tells me I think your right your water softer is old and blowing air harder into the pipes. Now I can take everything apart and clean it for $200 but it probably won't do anything. I said I'll pass on that. Finally he leaves the house but sits in his van for 20 mins in my driveway probably taking his lunch. Why not log some more time at my house.
We got charged even though the plumber did nothing but put on a show. They refused to take the charge away. Made up a bunch of lies like the plumber told your husband if you let me in I have to charge you. Which I didn't want him to come in so I wish he would of said that.
Cheryl M.We have used Tureks several times for different things over 6 years. Gas lines to dryer, fixing gas leaks, installing RO to refrigerator etc. They have always been consistently professional, friendly, efficient and most importantly the work has always been top quality. The last two times, we worked with Josh (who was wonderful) but all of the employees are sharp and easy to work with. Highly recommend Tureks.
Brian C.Hired them in July to fix a slow drain. Appeared to be working when plumber left (after only an hour of work and $340 less in my checking account) but within a few weeks it completely clogged. Called them back expecting them to stand behind their work but they wanted to charge me again, this time it would be a complete change of the plumbing under my kitchen sink and into the basement...nearly $500. Yikes! No, thanks, not gonna waste my money again with this company. Hired another company who came out same day and fixed it for $99 (less than a third of the original price I paid Turek's back in July).
The only reason for a generous 2 star rating is because they were friendly, clean, and prompt. They have many good ratings, I wish my experience would've been better.
Etienne O.Turek's is far and above the best plumbing company in Appleton. The level of professionalism is exceptional, from setting the appointment to prompt scheduling and first-rate, yet affordable, service. I have had them fix mistakes other plumbers did not catch. Turek's owner's decades of experience is evident throughout the company, in that all employees are thorough, and make decisions based on those many years of experience, rather than guesswork. Without a doubt, this is the plumbing company to call.
Adam H.I have went through 4 plumbers, and had probably 4 others come to my home for estimates, and Tureks seemed to be the most knowledgable and fair of all of them. The prices seemed on par with the rest too, but let's be honest, I'd gladly pay a little more if it means I'm getting quality service.
Kyle installed a water softener, fixed some of my water shut-offs downstairs, and checked over the hot water heater. He was very nice to talk with and even cleaned up after himself, which is something I'm not used to with tradesmen. I would definitely recommend them!
