Everything about my experience with Tuckers was exceptional. Jason Taylor (who was great) provided the service I had called about. I have a Geo system, and he is very knowledgeable. I won't hesitate to call them again.

This review is specific to HVAC repair. Our AC system was not blowing out any cold air and we thought we'd need to replace the entire system. We initially called FH Furr to come do a diagnostic. They eventually determined that a part in our system was broken and that it would cost several thousand dollars to repair. Because our system was so old, they recommended a full replacement. We decided to get a second opinion with Tuckers.

They were able to arrive that same day. I told the technician the initial diagnostic from FH Furr. He than ran his own diagnostic and learned that it was not a broken part in our AC system but our thermostat was broken. He replaced our thermostat during the same visit. We now have functioning air-conditioning and didn't have to spend thousands upon thousands to replace it.

At the end of the day they were able to repair my AC system correctly and left me with working AC. The cherry on top is that they are less expensive than FH Furr.

The technician showed up in the early part of the quoted window. He was polite and very friendly. A part needed to be replaced, which he had with him. The whole call took about 30 minutes and my AC was up and running that same day. On the hottest day of the summer, it was much appreciated.

I just had my annual AC check-up. Tuckers gave me a heads-up as to when the tech would show and Shawn was right on time. He was courteous and patient. As always he kept our space clean while checking out everything. He advised me on care of the outside unit (making sure critters and bees/wasps don't get in. Shawn pointed out all the things that mice, etc. can do - some of which is expensive as well as inconvenient. Wasps and bees, self-explanatory. Because of the advancing age of my system we discussed down-the-road- replacement, etc. Tuckers has served us for a number of years and we are pleased with their work and their help in keeping our system functioning.

I've used Tucker's for several years - replaced my whole HVAC with a Bryant evolution hybrid system which they tuned to mostly eliminate awful cold spots in our rooms and have then sustained a regular maintenance contract with them. They're not necessarily the cheapest, but they're always professional and have done a great job. Today I tried their new plumbing service - turned out my drain line for the sump pump was frozen, complicated by difficult access to the drain line. Once agin I observe that they may not be the cheapest, but they were professional, courteous, timely, and thorough.

Update on my plumbing review of 12/9/16. After a discussion with the owner, Ken Tucker, he admitted that they had fallen short on the plumbing service and agreed to refund the fee for their service contract. Nobody's perfect, but I consider this the mark of a responsible company.
I would still recommend them for their HVAC service, which has been consistently good.

Date of service: Oct. 2015: We hired Tuckers A/C Heating & Plumbing for a large, 3-system job in our home (1st floor, 2nd floor and sunroom). The net result was terrific and we highly recommend Tuckers. Our existing systems were still working, but more than 22 years old, extremely noisy, inefficient and expensive on the electric bill. We feared for being stuck in a bad position this winter. If you have ever been without heat in the dead of winter, or AC in peak summer, you know there is nothing like having the peace of mind that you and your family will be comfortable despite the elements outside. We love our new, highly efficient and quiet systems! Feels great!

Special thanks to the main team Terry King, Lead Install Tech and Chris Sklencar, Install Tech and support team Justin Clipper, Plumber, Tom Suryadeth, Supervisor and Chris Fraley, Install Manager for an outstanding job installing 3 new Daikin HVAC systems.

It was not an easy job! They are true pros who did the right thing, and gave extra effort to fix previous problems in our home (difficult situations in the attic and sunroom subfloor). We appreciate their attention to detail, professionalism, and care for our home.

Thanks to Morgan Ward, our Tuckers Comfort Consultant, who worked within our budget and particular needs and made it all work; she made it effortless for us and acted as concierge for our $3,750 in BGE rebates.

Everyone we interacted with at Tuckers has been a pleasure to work with and we will continue to use their services. With the three jobs, all completed within 7 days, there were several important details, change requests and punch list items to address, and all were done and buttoned up. Finally, the Daikin warranty and Tuckers included servicing plan are second to none.

Super job! On a 0-10 scale, we give them nothing less than a ""10"".

My furnace was acting up so I called a couple of companies to get estimates. Tuckers estimator went through all my options and after getting two other estimates I decided to go with them. This company is amazing to work with. I was also able to get a 15 year warranty.

I live in a condo and recently had to go through the process of replacing my 25+ year old HVAC system. I contacted 3 local vendors, 1-Hour A/C and Heating, Tucker's, and Michael & Son. Another local installer was Felix, but I ran out of time in getting an estimate from them. Michael & Son and Tucker's came close insofar as price and basic warranty coverage. The estimate from 1-Hour was significantly higher, at about 40% over the cost of the others, but they warrantied all equipment for up to 10 years, which was many years beyond the factory warranty and parts/labor coverage from the others. After roughly calculating the price of factory warranty coverage, extended coverage, parts/labor, and out-of-pocket cost of purchasing a home warranty following the expiration of the factory warranty, I figured that the coverage provided by Tucker's and Michael & Son were well within a few hundred dollars of each other, whereas 1-Hour, even with 10 year coverage, didn't seem worth it given the relatively affordable cost of home warranties by most local companies (est. ~$400 per year). Purchasing a home warranty after the factory warrant/extended coverage (offered by the installer) expires actually seems relatively cost-effective since such warranties cover all appliances in the home.

I went back to Michael & Son and Tucker's, and asked if they were willing to offer any incentives if I chose them over their competitor. Only Tucker's was willing to not only extend the warranty 2 additional years (for both equipment and parts/labor), but offered to also remove my non-functioning humidifier unit at no cost. Michael & Son had a really good reputation, and I had used them before for other services, so it was a close call. In the end, I went with Tucker's. There was something comforting being able to speak directly to the owner as he explained all the specific details as well as what other service experiences their company had with these types of units in other condos. The sales rep from 1-Hour seemed less interested in helping me understand all the ins-outs of the equipment/install, and even said I could potentially squeeze a 2-ton system in the utility closet if I wanted it. I had later learned that space restrictions would've prevented a 2-ton system from even fitting. A 1.5-ton system is what Michael & Son and Tucker's recommended from the onset.

The units turned out to be on back-order as the manufacturers had already depleted their inventories of these types of self-contained units due to demand at this time of year (July). It ended up taking over 3 weeks to actually get the unit shipped to Tucker's. A few weeks later, the unit was finally installed. It took only about 4 hours to complete the install, but it didn't go perfectly. They punched a small hole in the drywall in the utility closet. I called their office, and the install manager quickly returned my call, apologizing and assuring me everything would be fixed. Surely enough, it was, as within a couple days they brought in their handyman to patch up the wall. I was quite satisfied with the turn-around time to correct the deficiency. All in all, it was generally a good experience. Being able to get personal call-time with the owner was very comforting. Their staff was also quite accommodating. I am hoping to not have any issues with the new system anytime soon, but if I do, there are a few years of coverage I can fall back on.
