Jim D.Have had Trusty Warns System in our home for a long time. We have been very happy with it and with the PM service during that time. Great people and great service! Have always appreciated that they show up for call when they say they will be there.

Professional, trustworthy people. I have had them at our home now for two different issues and both times they were efficient and very helpful.
TJ T.I work for a plumbing company and we're always pushing Trusty for back up systems with our customers. They've got a great system and I've seen a lot of their systems running for years and years. If you have a finished basement to protect this is the way to go.
I heard rave reviews from a neighbor so I called them to schedule an appointment for someone to come out and look at replacing our sump pump and backup. Nobody showed up at the the time scheduled or at all. No call to tell us this, change the appointment, nothing. Glad we didn't do business with them, I can only wonder how we would have been treated if we had a problem after having paid them.
Jason Z.I called Trusty Warns to schedule an appointment because the house I purchased has a Trusty Warns system already in place. I can see that the system is not operational. I was told that the charge for a service call is $145. My question was if the $145 was then put towards the purchase of a new system. It was not. A service call charge of $145 is ridiculous. I can put that towards a new system that Trusty Warns will not be installing. Take your business elsewhere.
Without question Trusty Warns is the best sump pump backup system available. We had ii installed in 1998 and kept our basement dry during power outages ever since. The area where we live is heavily wooded and power outages from power lines downed by fallen trees and limbs happens sometimes as many as six times a year, with the longest outage lasting almost five days. Needless to say, having a good battery backup sump pump is sacrosanct where we live and I cannot overstate the peace of mind that our Trusty Warns gives us whenever the lights go out.
THE PUMP - The Trusty Warns pump sucks out more water per hour than combined capacity of the two primary 1/3 hp pumps in my two sump well pits. According to the literature, it can pump 3840 gallons per hour which is more than double the pumping capability of other brand systems on the market. The pump will automatically kick on-and-off anytime the water level in the sump well pit rises above a preset level, either when the main power is out (works off the batteries) or if the primary pump fails (works off the AC).
THE CHARGER AND BATTERY - The current charger Trusty Warns sells is a 50 amp unit and mine is an older analog 30 amp model. It is more than 18 years old and still works just fine. The charger is an automatic self monitoring system and constantly monitors and keeps the two 100 ampere hour marine batteries fully charged at all times. According to my calculations, the two batteries should have enough juice to run the pump continuously for seven hours. Keep in mind though that in actual use the pump runs intermittently, turns on just long enough to drain the well pit down to a safe level. Mine runs usually less than a minute a time; the short run time is one of the advantages of a high capacity 3840 gpm pump.
SERVICE - No complaints here. They were always very prompt, courteous and professional whenever we called them or have their technicians here to do the annual system check and maintenance. Very nice people to do business with.
I don't know why they are listed under Auto Repair but I did have them install a backup system in our house. This is an amazing, amazing company. Their prices were on par if not on the low side of what full service plumbing companies charge, but their product is by far superior.
After one of the recent (2015) storms and power was out for a while, I saw their truck in the neighborhood waiting with a load of fresh batteries; as the pumps were still running, but the electricity wasn't on to recharge them.
Oh, and they are more than back up pumps. If your primary pump breaks, the Trusty Warns will take over. The ordinary backup systems I know will only operate if there is a power loss.
Trusty Warns allows me to sleep soundly.
Unfortunately, I have had an issue with my Trusty Warns backup pump (will not be strong enough) and have tried over a dozen times to speak to the owner of the company (who installed my system) and left countless messages with the secretary there, and no one ever calls me back. A very expensive system, and it seems well made, but there are stronger backup systems out there and unfortunately customer service after installation is, as the others have mentioned, disappointing.
Had them come back to do the other half of the sump & they were charged me a price on par with what other places were suggesting. They were able to come early to my house for the appointment & were professional:)
I had the battery backup unit for 7 years, its a great unit. I also got the yearly service check but starting last year (recession) the compamy has lost site of what made it great. The last service the technican suggested that I replace the main pump after 8.5 years of faithful running. We agreed, to be on the safe side. The new pump failed after 19 months ( 2 weeks out of warrenty. Called them out - they longer supported the pump or any repairs. In this case it was a smiple switch but they wanted to sell a complete new unit for a 10 dollar repair. This is on top of the 130 dollar per hour service/install charge. Calling the company was useless as none of the desicion makers are availible an leave it to powerless customer service people to blow you off. I referred at least 3 people to this company but it has abanded all the thing that made to good in order to push product.
