We recently purchased a house in Gilroy and were unaware of how super hard the water is here. Within a couple of days of moving in, our brand new stainless steel sink in the kitchen and glassed in shower had hard water spots all over it that were very difficult to remove with the existing hard water being used to try to clean it.

Steve, from True-Tech Water (Hague is the water softener product), showed up one day and performed tests to show how hard it was. He is super friendly and very knowledgeable about different water treatments. We felt very comfortable putting our trust in him.

Although our new house did not come with a water softener, it did have the plumbing for it. The set up was super easy for us...although not as easy for the guy that had to dig through concrete for the outside drip (not sure what it's called exactly)...but Steve paid the guy extra and that showed me what a great guy he is...taking care of his contractors. It also does not take up a huge amount of room in our garage.

We got a whole house filtration system and WOW, what a difference! And it was immediate. Our skin (and my hair) have never been so soft. After washing our clothes the first time, they were softer. We used a ton less product to get everything clean. Think about that...shampoo, conditioner, laundry soap / softener, dish soap, dishwasher soap, etc. That's a lot of savings that will eventually pay for the water softener itself. It's not cheap; however it's definitely worth it!

And, Steve came back two weeks later and performed all the tests he performed before the water softener was installed to show (and make sure) that it was working properly. Thanks Steve!!!!

My family rented a softener and R/O system for many years from Culligan and were not pleased with the system, product, pricing or service, so we checked YELP to find out about buying our own system.
My wife and I had 3 water purification companies come to our home to evaluate our system and give us an estimate on purchasing a new system.
We were most pleased with the presentation and pricing from Steve Drake of True-Tech Water Inc. presented.
We learned that Steve has been in the business for many years and is very knowledgeable about water purification. We could tell right away that Steve was a very likable and no-pressure representative.
We were not looking for the cheapest system, but it turned out that True-Tech pricing was better than the others.
On the day of the installation, Steve and Dave, a licensed plumber arrived on time to install a new softener and R/O system. Dave did a very professional job and I was especially impressed with the very clean copper pipe welding (no solder drips). They ran the system checks and made sure everything worked properly and they cleaned up everything before leaving.
I would always recommend getting several estimates on a new water system, but I would also recommend HIGHLY that you have Steve from True-Tech be one of the estimates.
We are very happy with our new system and we know that True-Tech will service us whenever we need new annual filters or service check-ups.

Call True-Tech Water.... you will like Steve Drake.... he is a very nice guy! ;-)

Steve has installed several systems on our street several years ago and he recently installed a system for us. We and our neighbors are very pleased with the results! This is an honest review from a repeat buyer. We've purchased twice from Steve Drake - our first home (now a rental) and our new home. We had our first issue in the rental home in 11 years (brine valve) and Steve took care of it the next business day. These Hague units are extremely reliable, compared to other brands that friends and family are currently using. You can't go wrong with owning a Hague Watermax system in your home, specially if you live in an area with hard water. Ownership experience has been excellent for both product and service.

This company knows customer service!
My water softener was leaking and I had a plumber come out to look at it. He told my the system was shot and I needed a whole new water softener system. He assured me he could order one and have it installed in 2 days. I am not even going to mention what he wanted for the job. Real con job.

Something didn't seem right.

I called True-Tech Water. They returned my phone call quickly and came out the next day to have a look.
It was a simple broken part and they even had it in stock. They changed it out and for less than $150...problem solved.

I had never purchased a water softener before and our water was extremely hard, about 15 gpg. After discussing the pros and cons of the Hague system vs. similarly priced competitor systems with Steve at True-Tech Water, I realized how much better engineered it was. He was extremely knowledgeable about the system and offered installation alternatives that were customized for our home conditions. The competitors didn't even inquire about where the softener would be installed before quoting. His installation crew was very professional and he followed up after the install to make sure we were getting no more than 1 gpg of hardness. True-Tech Water clearly cares that their customers are getting what they paid for. Steve is very responsive and easy to work with. Call them first before wasting your time with other companies.

Their water truly checks out, no questions. Reverse Osmosis water is something I researched about and it was the same kind of water we would buy from a water station in Santa Clara. Having it in our new home is awesome! We got the home system together with the drinking water filtration. I just feel so safe having superior water over city water!

We are satisfied with our water use, we have lived in our new home for a year now, and I love the soft water every time we wash our hands, dishes, and shower! Definitely have used less in shampoo and soap products over all, so the benefits of savings has impact in our bank account for sure. Investing in your household's health is important for me . I have 2 kids with eczema and harmful toxins or impurities in regular city water penetrates through anyone's skin. So I'm glad we made that investment!

Steve is an awesome guy: We needed water treatment in our new home so I poked around and asked my neighbors who to contact for my needs. Steve C was pleasant and straightforward with explaining the Hague System. The cost was double that of previous water filtration system. That was the only reason for 1 less star. I am satisfied so far.
