Replaced old pipes at our house in a timely manner and everything works great. They had to remove our water meter box, and when replacing it they put it several inches higher than it was initially, however when asked about it they promptly came over and re-installed it to original position.

PIGS CRAPPY WORK RUN AWAY FAST
I live in Salem Oregon If there was a zero star review I would give it, the only reason it is one star is I had to select one.
We hired True Blue through Repipe Specialists. When they drilled a hole in the foundation wall for the new waterline entrance they did not put any covers on the opening so when the pipe came through so did 40 gallons of muddy water. We had 4 inches of mud in our basement floor. They scooped up most of the mud and did a basic mop up and left. Good enough for a barn floor but not our house. We spent 4 hours mopping floors and wiping walls after they left.
Plumbing was quoted to be inside the floor joists but was strapped to the bottom of the joists. At the time I was distracted by the mud and told Jer to use his discretion about routing the plumbing. So he took the easy route and ran the pipes below the floor joists. They did the bare minimum, made sure it didn't leak, left a huge mess and left.
A year later the strapping is breaking and the pex pipe is falling down. Water leaks at the foundation entrance. I called about warranty repairs and Repipe wanted $200 to look at it to see if it qualified for warranty repair! To their credit True Blue came for free and tightened the collar at the wall entrance where it is leaking but I was told Jer would have to charge for anything else.
I found a real plumber to fix it right, going to the least expensive repipe service was a very poor value.

I solicited bids from a few different companies to repipe my home (had cpvc and 3 prior water leaks). True Blue was priced less than the others and able to start in short-order. (In-fact, they offered to start even sooner, but I needed time to prepare.)
I'm a big believer that lowest-priced doesn't necessarily warrant best -- but took a chance -- as didn't want to break the bank (beyond what I already was going to be). VERY impressed with their work. On the day, a whole army of guys showed up and got my 1800sq ft, 2-story, 2.5ba home done in under 6-hours. Absolutely AMAZING!
Everyone I dealt with with True Blue, from Donna (the office manager), Jason (who did the bid), Charles (the foreman), and all the others were polite, courteous, professional, and probably left my house cleaner than when they started!
The county inspector who came out also fully approved of their work (always a nice relief) and indicated True Blue (along with a few other companies) specialize in repipes... I can't speak to if you had a historical home, or a mega-mansion, but the average home, absolutely the way to go!

It would be hard to say anything but good things about True Blue Plumbing. I hired them to re-pipe my house and they did the work quickly, professionally, and with great care.
Jayson came out and gave me a bid and then worked with me to adjust his estimate for some particular characteristics of my house. While he described his company's methods differently than the actual crew carried them out, Jason was forthright, helpful, and completely honest with me.
His drywall workers did a great job repairing the holes that had to be made for the piping. His cost was literally thousands of dollars less than the other major Repiping company specializing in the Portland area. I would Recommend True Blue Plumbing highly for your Repiping needs.

We got a couple bids. True Blue is a sub contractor for Repipe Specialist, but we got a better deal going direct to True Blue than going thru Repipe Specialist. They came out, did a torough review and explained what would happen. The best way to approach the repiping and less intrusive as well since we have an attic and a crawl space. Saved on cutting some additional holes in our walls. They showed up yesterday and were done in 5.5 hours. They did a fabulous job! Inspector showed up this morning and signed off on it! I highly recommend using True Blue Plumbing. Knowledgeable, fast, friendly and effecient.

Worst Customer Service on the phone:
Me: Hi, I have low water pressure.
True Blue: We don't test for that. You need to call a plumber.
Me: I'm confused.
True Blue: We do free quotes for repiping. We're repiping specialists.
Me: Great, can I make an appointment.
True Blue: Is there a problem?
Me: I'm confused, it sounds like you don't want to work with me.
True Blue: Well, we don't test for low water pressure. We quote for free repiping.
Me: Well, I have a 1959 home with original pipes.
True Blue: Are you getting multiple quotes?
Me: Yes, when can we make an appointment?
True Blue: Well, I don't think we want to work with you.
Conversation with the Competitor (Called them first): PEX Plumbing
Me: Hi, I have low water pressure.
PEX: Well, is that in one location or all over the house?
Me: Pretty much all over.
PEX: How old is your home?
Me 1959 and I think it has original water pipes.
PEX: Are they galvanized or copper?
Me: I'm not sure, but there's rust if the faucets haven't been run for a while.
PEX: Sounds like galvanized. We provide free quotes for repiping.
Me: Great, when can we set an appointment? (We set an appt.)
PEX: How did you hear about us?
Me: Through Repipe Specialists, read about you in the Yelp! Reviews, so we called you directly. (Same for True Blue, which is why I called them too).
PEX: Great, thank you for calling. We'll see you (at the appointment time).

i'll leave just the facts as true blue plumbing thinks i'm being unreasonable. you can decide for yourself
1. I hired them to re-plumb my entire house
2. Their price was fair relative to other bids
3. The did the job in the way they described they would
4. the first time I used the sink in one of the bathrooms it leaked from under the sink where the pipe goes in to the wall. They had taken part of the wall out behind that sink to do their work
5. They claim that the work they did has nothing to do with my leak, that its just an odd coincidence and refuse to fix it
6. I'm very disappointed. I said to the owner that if i took my car to a shop and they removed my bumper, if my headlight didnt work when they put it back on i would expect them to fix it. he said and i would expect them to charge you. Here we disagree.
7. My Opinon (you can decide for yourself) i think the true measure of a business is how they respond to problems. in this aspect i think they've failed miserably and would never recommend them. again, in fairness they think i'm the one being unreasonable.

This company did my re-pipe. They were prompt, communicated well and were tidy. Donna, who coordinated everything was great and had the best customer service. I would absolutely use them in the future.

They were awesome when they repiped our house. On time, professional, moved quickly, left no mess! Would absolutely use them again if needed down the road.

True Blue was part of my repipe job.
I got 2 bids and ended up choosing Repipe Specialists. I'm happy with the work they did, all around.
Small house/880'; 1 bathroom, 1 story.
Chose Pex; apparently copper isn't much a thing anymore.
Repipe Specialists = $7800 (with patching)
Other = 10K (without patching)
Sales person: Jon Holman. Came over not long after I reached out to RS. Took as much time with me as I needed, was patient with my questions, was very thorough in explaining the whole process. He gets the jobs, then they send you one of their contracted plumbing companies (which are based in Portland) out to do the work, another team will come patch the walls after inspection is passed. They are a well oiled machine; they give you a folder with info sheets w/pics on the pipes they use, the fixtures they use, etc. The contract we filled in together as we spoke had everything on it; nothing was left undiscussed. Carbon copy sheet, had the contract in my hand before he left. You cover a lot so it's good to have that to refer back to before making your decision if you're getting multiple bids. The one thing I did NOT like was I had 5 days to decide. 2 weeks would be appreciated (usually contractors give 30 days for terms offered). Plumbers were booked about 4 weeks out. Jon was responsive with the few emails I sent in the meantime with any questions.
Plumbing Crew: True Blue Plumbing. NW 185th, Portland. 5 guys came to do the job. Got here at 7am, done by 2:30pm! Whole house, including clean up. I opted to use this repipe to replace the toilet and kitchen faucet; they installed those for me and took away the old items. Awesome. The guys were friendly, seemed like they enjoyed their job, experienced guys teaching younger guys, were respectful of our home and surroundings while they managed to do a crazy kind-of-invasive job. I was really impressed how little was disrupted. We blocked off the living room and hunkered down with the dogs there for the day. Worked out fine. They communicated with us throughout the day if there was ever something that might need an opinion on how we want it to look (wall caps for old in-wall plumbing, where the pex was installed when it wasn't in the crawlspace etc). Main plumber guy gave me a card when they were done to contact him with any questions after they left. They don't do the patching, inspection needs to be approved before that's done.
Patching: (Honestly can't remember who did this...Indigo something?). This is an optional add-on; you don't have to pay for this if you're handy and want to take care of it after inspection. 2 guys came by at the prescheduled 2 weeks later date and patched the holes in a couple hours. Same thing, in & out quick, kind, they did a fine job. Done & done!
So that's the scoop on Repipe Specialists! I'd recommend them.
