We went through Home Depot to get some kitchen work done. They sent True Blue Plumbing to install our sink. BAD IDEA! Right side of the sink wouldn't drain and the garbage disposal shot water up instead of down the drain. True Blue tells me it's a ""venting"" issue and for them to check that out would cost $$$. They left. Called them back out the next day because the pipe was leaking and the dishwasher kept backing up. Told me our garbage disposal is too big and still a venting issue. Right side of sink still not draining.

Called a friend who does plumbing over, he took apart what True Blue installed and wouldn't you know it.?.? The True Blue plumber installed a PVC pipe and left it so long, that it blocked the right side of the sink. Kept it from draining and sending the same water back and forth to my dishwasher, which eventually started leaking all over the hardwood of my kitchen floor. NOT A VENTING ISSUE!!!!
Spent 2 weeks trying to get a refund. True Blue denies any wrong doing.
We will be contacting Home Depot and letting them know and hopefully they remove whatever contract they have with these crooks.....

This was a tough project with many obstacles, but the True Blue Plumbing team got it done. Our rental is older, other things had been built around the old water heater throughout the years, so it was difficult to get it out. On top of that, the main gas valve outside was rusty and got stuck, so I had to call KS Gas Service to come out to replace it. It took 2 appointments to get the new water heater installed - no faults of the plumbing team. Kuddos to Travis and Michael for their efforts. And they kept me informed of what was going on throughout the whole process. Highly recommend the True Blue Plumbing company!

True Blue Plumbing, referred by Home Depot. Upon his arrival dw before I signed the work agreement, I discussed with the installer about where he was going to put the expansion tank on the new water heater and specifically using the existing pipe on the tpv (all copper) and the copper piping to be removed to install the 4.5"" taller tank. He said he would re-use most of it and he agreed all unused piping would remain in my possession, expecting scraps. He did re-use a little but cut off a WHOLE LOT MORE than was used and necessary, then substituted a lot of bright shiny pipe and fittings instead, and literally had more than 2 feet of the original copper piping which he put into his right rear pocket. I asked about it and he said he had brought it from his truck which it was obviously not true. He only used a 4"" piece of the original pipe in the middle of the shiny pieces on one side, and 5"" on the other side. He added 15 more PIECES to connect to exactly where the old heater was connected above it. My water heater connection pipes now looks like a school science project. This guy lied to my face three times because we also had a similar discussion when he gave me the estimate days earlier. He is a LIAR, DISHONEST, UN-TRUSTWORTHY, UN-SKILLED and UN-ETHICAL. I will not ever use them again. This was the absolute worst, most terrible service and experience ever with this company. Certainly not very True Blue.

Short Version: I encourage you to do a little more research and think twice before choosing True Blue. One suggestion is to use someone like Anthony Plumbing who will cost more but at least you can take comfort in knowing it's done right, by highly qualified installers, and they provide 24/7 support. Most importantly, you'll know their owner won't say, ""tell her it's not that cold out tonight so they'll be fine."" What it meant we were without heat or hot water for 18 hours because ATMOS Energy said the gas leak from their installation was so bad they had to shut off gas to the house.

Long Version: While doing your due diligence researching companies before making a costly decision, you'll do like I did and read as many reviews as you can. Unfortunately, you'll find examples of unhappy customers everywhere and consider True Blue's overall rating high enough so you'll think it will be fine. You likely save a little money with them, but you could also end up in the situation we're now in after a new tankless hot water heater installation.
After the installation, the True Blue plumber told my wife there might be a little condensation but nothing significant. However, as soon as the first person took a shower, there was a significant flow of water which was pooling back into our wall. The installer installed the drainpipe as a single PVC pipe straight down next to the wall instead of taking it to the floor drain. Of course, the result was water backing up into the framing of the wall. At that point, we asked for someone more qualified to come out and take a look at his work, and take the drain tube to the floor drain.
At that point it obviously wasn't a big deal and we thought we had peace of mind because they sent out their master plumber to inspect the work.
However, 9 days later we now have strong smell in our basement, and Atmos quickly found what they called, ""a significant gas leak"" from where True Blue rerouted our gas line. Unfortunately, the leak was too significant, and they had to shut it off for the entire house. All of this is exacerbated by the fact it's a Saturday and True Blue doesn't provide 24/7 support. Because this is such a significant issue, the owner is called and I've already provided his response. Bottom line, no one's perfect, mistakes happen, and stuff breaks but for me it's always about how someone responds in those situation which defines who they are as a company.

Approximately 1 year and 6 months ago, True Blue Plumbing put a valve in our wall. This valve began leaking and causing damage in our basement. I had another plumbing company come out on an emergency call, replace the valve and they said the valve True Blue used (brand: Blue Fin) has been known to be faulty. True Blue said they won't pay anything as it's been longer than 1 year. The cost of repairs is $720 and True Blue's owner via email said ""Unfortunately it doesn't fall under us."". I don't appreciate companies using cheap parts in my home and not standing by them. Buyer beware.

If I could give this company minus stars I would. My 74 year old father had Tarik out for an issue with the shower faucet and the kitchen faucet. In the shower he removed the plate from the wall called someone and decided he could not fix it without tearing out the wall and putting in all new parts. He put grease on the back of the plate screwed it back on and charged my father $418.22. He replaced the kitchen faucet with a Delta side spray (about a $40.00 faucet) cut a pipe and flooded the floor in the process told my dad what a hard job it was and charged him $581.62, my father unfortunately paid the bill because he did not know what else to do. I contacted the office and was given a run down of the service which I was already aware of, they spoke to me like I wasn't able to understand the ""complexity"" of the service. I ask to speak to the owner and have waited over a week without hearing a peep.
This company and Tyrek took advantage of my father and they should be ashamed of themselves. I own a business and I warn everyone I come into contact about the shadiness of the True Blue Plumbing Company.

Alex came to the rescue! We had purchased an American Standard toilet. After 7 years the tank slowly started leaking from a vertical crack. American Standard sent us a new toilet. It didn't sit level on the floor. After a month or so the bottom of the tank began to leak. AS sent us another. The tank leaked from the bottom ever so slightly. My husband gave up and called True to come reinstall the toilet. Alex could see a crack in the bottom of the tank. He told my husband to get a Gerber toilet. My husband got one and Alex came and put it in. Drama and wet floors are over! Thank you Alex.

Work began 12/15. No working shower for 6 days. Had to beg daily for work to get done. On 12/24 I was told caulking would be completed 12/28. Never heard from the company again. No receipt, no warranty info on $13,500 worth of work AND my house key was never returned. No idea where my key may be. Ridiculous!
