Charged me $150 ""trip fee"" for nothing other than to look at the label on my water tank. Quoted me 5000$ for a new hot water tank. Workers were rude and when returning from their van, they just waltzed into my house, no courtesy knock. Twice. These guys were trying to screw me out of 2500$! What a joke!
Found a competitor who was able to do the job at HALF the quote of trombly, in only 3 days. And their Workers were actually nice!
Today I called the manager regarding the work that would have been done this Thursday. Apparently the manager was upset when I told him this company sold me a piece of crap heating system 5 years ago. He did not like that I said ""you know you sold me a crappy product (10,000 with installation) and you did this because you know you will make money repairing it. Six years later my furnace is on the fritz and it will be 1300 to fix it. He told me to find another plumber after I paid them close to 400.00 to tell me what the problem was.
Cheryl Trombley should NOT be allowed to talk to customers! What terrible customer service! We had a water pressure issue specific to our hot water and Bill Trombley was recommended as a licensed plumber by the manufacturer. I described the issue when I called and setup the appointment and requested a plumber come look at it.
Upon arriving and hearing the description of the issue, the technician immediately said he was not a plumber (he was an HVAC technician) and that we needed a plumber to inspect the issue further. He was at our house for no more than 5 minutes. He was very friendly but could not troubleshoot the issue. He said he would get the $79 site visit fee waived for today and we could schedule another appointment with a plumber. Seemed fair enough. Mistakes happen and it was not an emergency.
He called the office from his truck and came back a few minutes later to tell us he needed to collect the site visit fee today and next time it would be waived. I told him I didn't feel comfortable with that and could I speak to someone at the office. He recommended I call Cheryl Trombley.
Immediately, Cheryl was extremely confrontational and accusatory. I hadn't even got to the part about the site visit fee and she was already blaming me for the fact that they sent the wrong person out for the job. Telling me I didn't specifically request a plumber (I did) and that they rely on customers to understand their heating and plumbing systems and know what type of technician to send. She was very rude and told me I would absolutely be paying a site visit fee for the 5 minute visit and she'd ""see what she could do about possibly reducing the fee"" next time. She interrupted and talked over me continuously and when I pushed back on the payment she ended the call by saying ""OK, I'll just close the account and never go there again!""
Don't worry Cheryl, we won't be scheduling any more work with Trombley ever again and we'll be sure to tell our friends and neighbors to do the same.
Kelly B.Cheryl Trombly needs a new job! Terrible customer service skills. Rude, no phone manners and should stick to back office paperwork and stay off the phone. I'm so upset I gave them money to service my home for two years. I'm a First time homeowner, I called to get a my HVAC serviced. Made appointment a month out. Day of appointment they never showed up. Person who answered said she had no record of my call. Ok, no problem, mistakes happen. I make another appointment and paid for the two year service. They service the HVAC, literally 4 week later I'm having issues. I call them yesterday and set up for a service phone call at 7:30 am today. 8:30 am no phone call, so I call them back. Cheryl Trombly answers, I asked if anyone was going to call me and she said she had no record of my call from the night before. THIS IS THE SECOND CALL I MAKE AND THE SECOND TIME THEY ""HAVE NO RECORD OF MY CALL""....needless to say I was frustrated...I had water spilling out of a condenser pump soaking my carpet in my finished basement. CHERYL was an absolute TOOL...NO PHONE ETIQUETTE or problem solving skills...and SHOULD NOT BE THE ONE ANSWERING THE PHONE...EVER.
Maybe she was having a bad day. But so was I, I apologized to her as I was also moody but she was just an asshole (I hate to even say this about a person) for the entire phone call. Needless to say I canceled my call and rather pay more money elsewhere then give them another dollar!!! I was appalled by her NASTY PHONE ETIQUETTE.
At the end of the day... we all have bad days. But Mrs. Cheryl Trombly should be demoted to the back office or back home. Pay someone who actually knows how to answer and problem solve customer issues instead of continue to incite frustration from already frustrated customers!
Thanks to Cheryl Trombly I will no longer use your service and I will tell everyone I speak to not to use your service as well.
I had a backed up septic system on a Sunday morning. Allied septic (owned by bill trombly) answered their phone and said they could be here in 20 minutes. A bit over an hour later they showed. Lucky for us, the water in the basement was only from the shower, and not sewage. When Allied showed up, we had cleaned all the water from the basement floor. They pumped the tank and claimed everything was all set. We turned on water and the basement flooded again. The driver said he was qualified to clear the line, so we gave him the ""go ahead"" to clean the line. One of the access covers was inside a closet in the basement. Knowing the line was full of raw sewage, he opened the cover, and poured sewage all over the carpet in the basement office. He came out of the basement, handed us a bill for $477 which we paid with a check. He said he needed to get going so he could shower. Started his truck and took off. Leaving behind his shovel and the open cover for the septic tank. That's when we discovered the mess he made in our home office. Raw sewage all over the floor for us to clean up. We contacted Bill Trombly's office who told us to make a claim on our insurance, and they would do nothing to fix the mess. I stopped payment on the check and now they send me monthly statements adding interest each month. Stay away from this company.
I tried to become a new customer to Bill Trombly and have never actually -received- service from them because they keep cancelling or no-showing.
On January 7th, I scheduled an appointment with them to service my boiler. The first available time they had was ""between 8 and 10 AM"" on February 12th. They informed me that they would call me at that time with a 15 minute heads-up and if I didn't answer they would not come. Fine. On February 12th, I stayed home from work to accommodate the service. At 9:11 AM, they called to tell me that they had a couple of call-ins and wouldn't be able to come. I expressed dismay at having stayed home from work for this service when they decided not to come, but wound up rescheduling for February 21st between 10AM and noon.
On February 21st, I again stayed home from work to accommodate the service. They called me at 8:10 AM, well outside of the window, and I missed the call. When I called them back at 9:10, they said they didn't dispatch because ""there was nobody there"" - which they of course knew there wouldn't be because they weren't scheduled at the time they called. I reminded them that the service was scheduled between 10 and noon, and the agent on the phone agreed and said that they'd be sure to have someone out during the assigned time. As of 12:44 PM, I have not received any further contact.
I've now stayed home two days for a company that does not honor their commitments. I should've just called Heritage - it's worth paying a little more for service to actually occur.
I've been using Bill Trombly for the past 14 years since purchasing my home. I was always very satisfied with their work and professionalism until the past couple of years. Most recently, I had issues with my heat not kicking on and slow blowing. The tech came the following morning and spent 4 hours in my basement to inform me the blower needed replacing and they had to order the part. I was charged $627 and left with no heat for the night. I contacted the after hour line to request a call back the next morning from the owner of the company to discuss my dissatisfaction. I received a call from Cheryl (receptionist) and was told the owner was sick and couldn't contact me. I mentioned that it was ""convenient"" he happened to be sick. She immediately went on the defense, called me rude, would not let me finish a sentence, etc. Come to find out....Cheryl is Bill's sister. Did I mention they also charged my card twice in error? Nothing but a huge inconvenience and a giant head ache. I will never use them again.
BUYER BEWARE ! I have been a loyal customer for years buying the extra value plan.I was unable to get an appointment for routine furnace cleaning for 2 months as I was told they were 'too busy' during the cold weather. When my appointment time came, I called to see what time the technician was coming and was told my appointment ""had been canceled as they called and I didn't' answer."" I had not received any call or text from them that's why I was calling. They insisted there was something wrong with my phone (there isn't) in a belligerent manner. They would not correct this in a timely way offered me an appointment for the next month. I called Heritage, looked at their reviews and should have done it a long time ago.
Paul T.I property manage a building in Manchester 2 of the water heaters went out in the building. The technician came over and evaluated the problem. And sent a crew out within 3 hours to have it repaired. Up most Knowledgeable tradesman.the Job came up very Professionally. Thank you for a job well done. My only problem is they thay took one of my 5 gallon buckets for water clean up lol. Good job
I just switched to working with Heritage after using Bill Trombly for two years. Below is the story for why, and what my experience has been.
A couple weeks back Trombly Techs came to look at two issues for me [see attached image for diagram of issues], [I have been paying $300 a year to be a value rate member for the last 2 years to service two AC condensers and a water boiler].
-Issue 1: No cold air from three heads tied to one condenser unit
-Issue 2: 3 of the 6 indoor heads would not work with the remote. [They had tried to fix this last year: I paid ~$400 dollars and they still had not fixed it. I was told it would cost more for them to continue to troubleshoot and try another solution so I said forget it, i will turn them on manually.]
After troubleshooting this year, the techs left that day saying they needed to contact support. Later that week they called me back with the below:
-Issue 1: Nothing... they provided no estimate on fixing this. The admin said they didn't know of this issue and would not let me speak to the tech. They would need to send another tech out in roughly 1 week's time.
-Issue 2: They recommended replacing the control boards on the units where the remote wasnt working, this was different than what they tried last year. I don't have the exact quote but it was multiple hundreds of dollars per unit.
With this I cancelled my value rate and called Heritage. They scheduled an appointment for a week out but were able to get someone to me the next day on standby. After working on the system this was the result:
-Issue 1: The cold air issue was due to low refrigerant (1lb left in a 6lb system) they provided a quote and fixed it the same day
-Issue 2: Fixed the remote control issue on the spot, for free. The remotes had come out of sync and needed reprogramming. Again no charge.
So for an issue that was going on for multiple years and cost multiple hundreds of dollars while with Trombly, Heritage was able to fix everything in a single day.
