Finding a reliable, trustworthy, and reasonably priced plumber on Maui, or for that sake... anywhere, isn't easy. Finding one who will actually arrive on time and not try to gouge you for work you don't need is nearly impossible. I've worked with Russ twice now and won't call anyone else. He helped me install one of the new Flo WiFi shut-off valves. Now I can monitor my usage and cut the water off in an emergency from my cell phone. I'm really happy with his work! While no one is perfect, Russ is as close as you get with respect to plumbing.

Had a completely stopped up shower drain. I called Russ yesterday and he was extremely helpful over the phone and even by text. I tried to fix the problem myself but failed. He came down the next morning as soon as he could and fixed my shower in less than half an hour. What a relief. Highly recommended because he was communicative, honest, helpful and saved the day! Owner Russ McCann replumbed our solar loop piping after the old line buried in concrete sprung a leak. He was prompt both for estimate and for the job itself. We were impressed with his knowledge, his willingness to explain alternatives and then to do the job quickly. His estimate was fair and didn't change when the job was done. He is a very nice man. We recommend him with five stars!!!!

I had Russ come out to change my J joint under my bathroom sink & he said he wouldn't do it because it was too nasty of a job. He also said he would rather pull a toilet than change a J joint. My goodness a Prima Don plumber on Maui??? Too lazy. I won't ever call him again nor do I recommend him.

I manage several apartments and have a regular plumber Mike. Mike was on vacation so I call Russ for a few replacements. The toilet seal ring he installed was too small. The tenant didn't tell me it had a slight leak. I called Russ a couple months later and he said he only guarantees his work for 30 days. Russ also put in a new water heater. When Mike fixed the toilet I had him inspect the water heater. Russ put Teflon tape on the water heater hose compression fittings. Mike laughed at the amateur job. What type of plumber can't set a toilet or install a new water heater?

I found the holy grail: An HONEST plumber on Maui! I've called the two big plumbing outfits on Maui before (you know who they are) and been very disappointed on that point (I didn't actually SEE the guns they were holding me up with, but I'm pretty sure they were there). On the basis of several recommendations from Next Door Kihei, I phoned Russ McCann at Triple L Plumbing, 808.269.2280. I phoned on Friday, got a call back the next business day (Monday) and he came out that afternoon (today). He fixed several issues in my son's bathroom: a toilet that leaks and cycles every few minutes, a shower diverter that needed replacing, and a loose faucet at the sink. He was professional and personable and he didn't try to sell me the moon. And his invoice was exactly what it should have been: reasonable, and less than half of what the two big name companies would have charged. I know, because they charged me more than twice what he did for a smaller job in the past. You don't have to pay highway robbery prices, people! Just make sure you get referrals from more than one person that you trust. Or take my word and call Russ.
