I called AAA and they were out in two days for a non-emergent call. Bill called in advance and was here when he said he would be. He was pleasant and gave me good advice on ongoing maintenance. Whole process was 20 minutes. Outstanding!!
Todd M.Great team! Very detailed! Honored I've done business with them for years with septic system services on older properties. These team members seem to always go above and beyond! Rare, but especially considering when dealing with all the crap from other people is literally all they put up with at work.
Charlotte R.I have been using this company for three years. I rate them as the best. They always come as soon as I call them. They are very professional from the office to the techs. They always explain everything to me & answer any questions I ask. Miss Trudy in the office is well educated on leach lines drainage just about anything. She explains everything & breaks thinks down so you can understand. She is awesome just like the techs! Thanks to all of you @ AAA!
Scott C.They finished the job in a single day, no complaints at all, would highly recommend for any future septic work!
Neal R.I've been working with AAA Wastewater for three years now as they have been taking care of my cleaning my septic tank at my cabin. I've heard they do grease trap cleaning too but I'd highly recommend them for septic tank cleaning.
If I could give no stars I would. We hired this company to fix our septic. They came out and drained the tank and cleaned it out and were great. Then we had water backing up a few months later. We had them back out and they drained the tank again and replaced our septic pump for $900. All was good for a month then pump stopped working. Had them out again and had to ""tape up some wires"" for a better connection. Less than a month later water was building up in front of the tank again. Went back and forth with them. Said the pump was fine but couldn't tell us why we still had water. We kept calling for them to figure out what was going on but no one would return our calls. When we finally got someone to talk to they could only guess what was wrong. Told us they could dig up our leech field for $2000-$4000...not! Owner basically told us to leave them alone. We finally threw in the towel and went to a diifferent company and they took one look and knew exactly what was wrong, our tank had a hole in it and the pipe leading out of the tank was not connected. They fixed it in two days. Had to replace the new pump because it had burnt itself out. And was $300 for a pump instead of the $900.
So my initial thoughts is that this company was good compared to who I had used in the past. That turned out to be extremely inaccurate as this company is only as good as the employees they send out on the visit, I haven't received any help with my calls to their office either to make things right.
When I purchasing my house I had them pump the septic and do an inspection. They determined that the timer needed replaced as it was not functioning everything else was good. Once we closed I had them replace the timer and clean out the upflow filter. This is where the problems began. They day they came back with my pump and new timer I was watching my son and couldn't be outside and watch him the whole time. It was in December and too cold, the guy that came was shady, and offered to take a tip for cleaning something else out, I just denied it. Months later I was outside and noticed that I hadn't heard the pump run in a while. I popped the lid to check it to find out what was going on. They used a nice outdoor timer and a really cheap indoor lamp timer daisy chained together. The cheap indoor one fell into the mud/dirt at the bottom because they didn't mount it and was stuck in the on position. The $1000 pump was no longer working when I bypassed the timers, I am now not sure if it died due to age, or the timers.
At this point I called, because I was disappointed that they ever thought an indoor timer would work outside in those conditions, to complain about the quality of their work. As expected they quickly sent a couple of guys out to take a look, neither had ever seen that timer used. They wanted to take the pump and the outdoor timer to check it out(they just left the indoor timer). When we started to take off the pump, we discover the last ""tech"" had just used electric tape to tape together three pieces of airline(Not the original line the septic had), no hose clamps or fittings. The tech just butted them next to each other and taped them expecting that would hold compressed air.
At this point I was extremely angry. The tech that came out said they would check and call me back on Monday about the pump and timer. Two Weeks later I finally call after hearing nothing from them. The lady checks and said the timer was working and that the pump was dead and needed replaced. She proceeded to tell me the tech noted my pump was undersized for the system I had and that I would need the larger more expensive pump. She said that they could bring it with them and install it when they put the timer back and they could go ahead and fix the plumbing while they were at it. I asked ,why if my pump was undersized, was that never noted when they did my septic inspection? The inspection was $100 just to tell me the timer didn't work? The new pump was significant cost difference and in my opinion would was why I paid for the inspection to begin with. She totally backtracked and said she thought maybe she misunderstood the tech and would have to speak with him and would call me back (Still haven't received the call). The techs did not make any notes to the office about the electric tape connections or second timer which meant my aerobic system wasn't getting air for over a year. I am honestly hoping they didn't damage the system as they were the ones that told me leaving it off too long would cause damage.
Update: AAA did contact me to apologize and offered to replace the pump at a discounted price, even though I told them I already had done it myself multiple times. This gave me the impression they weren't really listening to what I told them. They did say they had let that tech go after a short period of time due to similar complaints. They said the inspection is just visual. I can understand it being visual since most of it is underground, but seeing as the pump is above ground I don't see why that isn't checked. So in my opinion it is a waste of money.
