Had these folks do a few jobs for me. Very responsive, professional folks. Fair pricing. Excellent work. And friendly as well!

I called them. When I told them my address they informed me ""we don't work at [your condo]""
Not that they don't do condos, just my specific one. No explanation. If their name comes up again I will encourage others to not use them.

We we having an intermittent problem with our water heater not firing up automatically. Triggs was able to respond the next day and had the problem diagnosed and fixed in less than an hour. It turns out that there was a problem with the way the builder had installed the heater. Unfortunately, I cannot remember the names of the two techs that solved the problem, but they were very friendly and were able to explain what the problem was and how it was fixed. I would not hesitate to call them again for any problem.

This is a thirty-five year review as that is how long Triggs Plumbing has worked on many hundreds of projects for me and my clients. I'm an historic restoration specialist and Triggs knows its way around and how to manage old houses and old house issues. Skip, Brian, Gary, and (retired now) Tony have always been great. The number of call-backs I have had is in the small fraction of 1% range.
They have been courteous to my customers, cooperative with other crews and cost effective. I recommend them frequently, still use them exclusively for my investment properties and have used no one else, ever, in my own home.

I recently purchased a condo in Madison. I have not moved there yet and live 2 hours away from Madison. I called Triggs Plumbing after a leak in my bathroom caused damage to the unit below me. I made the appointment on Tuesday and was told that the appointment would be between 11:30-12:30 on Friday. Since it is a long drive, I called and confirmed the appointment on Thursday. I was told the appointment was confirmed. I drove to Madison on Friday and waited. I called the office after 12:30 to confirm that someone was coming. I was told to ""be patient"". After waiting another hour, I called again and was told they had no record of my appointment. At this point I had already invested 4 hours, and asked if they could send someone. I was told they would call someone from another job. The plumber arrived about 30 minutes later. He diagnosed that I needed a new toilet. The toilet valve was already shutoff before he came. The plumber turned the valve on to diagnose the problem, then turned if off again. I just received a bill for a full hour of work for the visit. I will call a different company to install a new toilet.

Experience varies with this company depending on who shows up. One time was great, the plumber worked fast and efficiently. Another time, the boss had to come out because the worker couldn't find the gas leak. the 3rd time was my last try with them. They overcharged me by almost 2 hours. When I called to complain, the owner said he had to charge for the trip to my house and back (I'm in Madison and they're in Madison!). Their shop is definitely not an hour away from my house so they must have stopped for lunch or something! If you use them better get a firm price quote lest you want to get surprised when the bill comes.

Scott from Triggs is great. I live in an old apartment with old plumbing. Scott has worked magic with what I've got. He is great with working with the materials at hand to fix the problem and has a creative mind for fixing plumbing issues. He is polite and genuine and won't finish a job until he's satisfied that it has been done the right way. He's been out to my place a couple of times to fix plumbing issues (my whole bathroom really needs to be gutted and re-done, but that's another story) and each time I've been nothing but satisfied. I can't speak to the price, as my landlord foots the bill and I don't see it, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Scott to anyone who needs plumbing service in the Madison area. He is one of the best for sure.

I had a great experience with Triggs Plumbing yesterday. In the space of little more than an hour, the plumber, Lance, had replaced the cylinders in a leaking bathroom sink, given a toilet tank all new ""innards,"" installed a beautiful new Kohler kitchen faucet, (preselected for me after I gave over the phone a description of the broken faucet I wanted to replace) and cleaned out the inside of a slow moving bathroom sink. All needed parts were already stocked on the truck, including the faucet. No need for another service call! Highly recommended!
