Terrible! Rude! No idea of customer service. Some technicians are good, some downright terrible. They changed management a few years ago and last year there was a great tech but he moved. Office staff uncooperative. Owner a bully. They ""fixed "" some problems with my system but neglected to check if all was working and I came back to an inferno! BEWARE.

Last month my furnace stopped working, and with Google's help I found Tricounty Aire. When I called, the girl on the phone was very friendly, and gave me a 3 hour service window to get someone out to take a look. The repairman showed up within the first hour, and was knowledgeable and polite. The overall experience was painless. I will definitely use them again in the future.

I had an experience with this company that, I believe, shows one what sort of business they want to run...My heater was not running, so I decided to call TriCounty Aire to come out for an $79.00 inspection and assist me to get the heater running as quickly as possible...They sent out, Nick, a ""very experienced"" technician. He gave me a written summary of his findings which stated that ""the indoor blower motor had failed"" and that the cost to replace it would be $993.78 which would include a brand new blower motor, a new capacitor, and labor. He also recommended that I change out the entire heater for $4425.00 because ""it might be time to get a new one"".
But there was something about Nick's overly familiar attitude and demeanor that sent up red flags in my mind. So I checked with a handyman that I have used and respected and he told me that maybe I should just change out the capacitor and see if that was the only problem. I then went to my local parts house and the manager echoed the same sentiment. So I purchased a new capacitor for $3.31, went home, installed it myself in 5 minutes and lo and behold, the heater started right up and is working perfectly as I write this. This common sense approach saved me $990.47.
Since I would want to know (if I was the owner) if an employee had made such a grievous error, I called the owner, Shanna Nelson, to explain the situation. Instead she berated me and told me that, ""Nick is one of our best technicians"". If this is their best technician, I would hate to see the worst. I called back a second time and spoke to Britny Neumann and she told me that Nick had checked the capacitor and had found it to be fine. I was dumbfounded by her reply and asked her to please refund the $79.00 as the inspection was in complete error. I told her that I felt that Nick's recommendations promoted the sale of parts and services that would benefit only the company. She answered a very emphatic ""NO"". At any rate, it seemed to me that this company is very self serving and has no real interest in seeing that their customers are satisfied. It is very sad and telling when a person or entity cannot admit errors and make them right. Had they admitted their error, in a timely manner, and refunded my $79.00, I would right now be singing their praises, and probably adding 4 more stars to my review, instead of bringing these ugly facts to light.

Tricounty Aire installed new heating and air in 2010 and the units are the most efficient and quietest we have ever had. We had a winter service done the other day and Nick, the technician came out with a smile on his face. He was pleasant and thorough.

My air conditioner stopped working. When the tech got here he said he was pretty sure it was the capacitor based on my description of the problem. It was and he replaced it no problem. He had the part on his truck.

What I appreciated is that he answered all my questions and gave me a heads up that my unit uses the old style refrigerant. After we came inside to check the AC he looked at the inside unit and told me it is compatible with the new refrigerant and therefore won't necessarily need updating when it comes time to do the outside unit. I appreciate that kind of knowledge so I can mentally prepare and budget for future

1000% satisfied customer!
This past summer my wife and I had some issues with our a/c unit. I was talking to a coworker about it and he gave me the phone number to the company which services his home. I gave Tricounty Aire a call and with in the hour they sent a well mannered service technician by the name of Grant to our home. According to my wife he was very polite and informative. As soon as I got home he introduced himself to me and explained what was going on with our unit. Not only did he show us what was wrong with our a/c unit but also showed us cracks that were in the heat exchanger compartment of our furnace.
Because of the thorough inspection that he did I could honestly say that he pretty much saved my families life. He ran the furnace for a quick second and placed a carbon monoxide detector at the vent in our child's bedroom and within seconds the darn thing went off. Due to this companies honest technician we have now replaced our 30 something year old system with a brand new York system.
The office staff was also great and very professional. They gave me a great price on the new unit and got it done within 2 days.

We couldn't be happier with any other company!

The service from Tri-County is awesome. We tired our heat in late december during a cold snap and no go. The excellent serviceman from Tricounty came out, diagnosed the problem and returned in time for Christmas to fix our heat. Kudos to the great people at TriCounty Air.

I called Tricounty for a heater checkup since I had been using the company since 1997. I did not know that the company was under new ownership. The first words out of the tech's mouth were critical of the age of the heater. He had not even looked at it yet. He recommends a new heater and air conditioner. He then failed to put the cover back on and when we attempted to straighten it the whole thing fell off. When he returned a few days later it was obvious that he was irritated to be called back. I'm disappointed that the new ownership is not continuing with the same customer service as the original owners. I will not use them again or recommend them.

Didn't realize that this wasn't the Tri County Heating & Air that we originally had install our HVAC back in 2003. Thought it was unusual that the service call person started off by telling me everything that was wrong with the setup we had. Then he starts giving me estimates for a total replacement before he even knows or can tell me what the problem is. Turns out there was a little dust in the system, but really was just a clogged drain line that could have been blown out during the service call that was over $100., once they did come back they charged me $400 for something that took and hour and half to do. Look else where, can see why they keep going out of business with that approach to business.

I had a positive experience with TC Aire.

My A/C unit is 20 years old and it was not working well. First visit the tech tuned it and put freon in it. He noticed the capacitor was old, leaky and needed replacement. He can back a few weeks later with the proper capacitor and in the meantime the thermostat started to fail. When he returned to replace the capacitor he said he had new thermostats that would work for us. He had several different models in his van, explained what we needed based on what type of a/c uit we have and pointed out that the new thermostat will work with all new A/C units when the time comes to replace what we have. He gave me a competitive price and installed the new thermostat. That and the new capacitor fixed the problem, the a/c unit is now working well house cools down properly (we have had some hots spells and it worked great) and he did not try to talk me into a new A/C unit that I don't need right now.

Dale was honest, nice and very good at his job. Brittany in the office was easy to work with and rescheduled appointments around my families busy schedule.

I could not ask for a more honest business to work with. I have had trouble in Thousand Oaks with unscrupulous A/C and heater companies trying to fix things that were not broken and sell me overpriced heating and cooling options. This one is honest, reasonable and tell you all your options in a open manner. They charged reasonable rates ann for 450.00 they returned my a/c to full operational condition. This is my experience only, hope it helps.
