Company Overview

For residents of Coos Bay, OR, Tri County Plumbing is your go-to for plumbing needs.
Wes Plummer, upholding the Plummer family tradition, has assumed leadership of Tri-County Plumbing from his parents, Cliff and Elaine.
He is a licensed journeyman plumber who has been immersed in the trade since he was old enough to join the job site!
The whole team, led by Wes, is dedicated to preserving exceptional quality while boosting customer satisfaction through their ""eager to please"" mindset.
One might argue that Wes was meant to be a plumber.
The plumbing profession is a family tradition, with grandfathers, his father, uncles, brother, and in-laws all involved.

In late 2008, Wes became the sole proprietor of the business.
With perseverance and hard work, Wes has diversified the company to include heating, septic installation, excavation, and much more.
His most recent milestone is the construction of a new facility at the intersection of Newmark and Norman, aiming to move in by late summer or early fall.
In his free time, Wes enjoys camping, hunting, and spending quality moments with his wife Pamela and their two children, Adam and Devin.
As a member of Hauser Community Church, Wes volunteers his time to support those in need.

We had an outside pipe break, and that required shutting off the water to the house. They sent Jacob out, who did an excellent repair, including a new shut-off valve to supplement the old one, which no longer works perfectly. Very happy with response and quality.

If you are thinking of buying a reverse osmosis drinking water filter system from them and having them install it, think again! Long story short, we bought a reverse osmosis drinking water filter system from them when we lived in North Bend, Oregon, and had them install it. It worked for awhile, but then it stopped working long before it should have (despite changing the filter). I talked to them on the phone a number of times, asking what to do, asking them what they could do, etc. They sent a plumber out to try to figure out what was wrong and he was unable to figure it out. This all took place, mind you, when we had had the system for less than a year. There are three people in my household, so it's not like the system was overused. After they admitted that they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it, I called and asked if we could get a refund for the system. (I wasn't even asking for a refund for labor, just for the RO water system.) I was told that no, I could not get a refund, but that they would check with the manufacturer about a possible warranty. I must have called back to check with them at least twice in the next month to see if they had any more information about a warranty. They said no and that they'd call me back. That was in either April or May of 2019. Never heard from them again. In June, my husband got a job in a different city, so we decided to drop the issue since we were moving. However, my only phone number was a cell phone and I never heard from them again. (I am writing this review on October 6, 2019.) I'm only posting this now to warn people to be wary of getting a reverse osmosis water system from them. There's certainly no guarantee it will work if you do. I gave two stars instead of one because they did do some basic plumbing work for us in the past that was successful, and their plumbers are polite and professional. My complaint is with the management.

This is a tale about a lateral sewer line... When we purchased our home in Coos Bay we had no idea that we were responsible for our sewer all the way out under the road to the sewer main. We learned very quickly. Being brand new to Coos Bay we did not know who to trust, or who was the best value. I called and interacted with all of the principal plumbing contractors in Coos Bay. I will not dwell on the negatives of competitors, this is a small town.

This is my story about Tri-County.

The owner Wes is very personable. He and his family run a clean and very presentable company. His business; as my home inspector early on pointed out, is capable of all aspects of plumbing. Many are not. In the community they have a stellar reputation. I had four estimates from the local players for this job. Two of them would have had to sub-contract out for certain aspects of this project, which increased their costs. I am retired so project costs are very important. Tri-County was very competitive price wise. More importantly the owner is a man of his word. Wes felt like family as we got to know each other. He is a hands on business owner, he is in the trench with his men when he needs to be, as well as operating the heavy equipment that was needed for a job of our size. His employees are wonderful as well. I interacted with three or four of them. They are professional and courteous. His sister Brandie manages the office/showroom they have in Coos Bay, she has a lovely sense of humor. This business was started by Wes's father and taken over by his sons. I could go on, but hope I have covered most of the bases. I would definitely use Tri-County in the future should something arise once again.

I have read some of the other comments here and for the ones with a lower star rating, am puzzled. Contractors like any other professional have schedules, we had to be fitted into Tri-County's already tight schedule. Considering our urgent need I thought they responded very well. And more importantly I watched every aspect of their work as they progressed. They are a tight operation, and clean. Our family thanks the Tri-County team for their help when we were in need.

Anyone wishing to call me is free to do so. Craig G. 253-640-8838

We had a leak in the shower and got the # of tri county off the truck when they working at the neighbors. The soonest appointment we could get was 3 weeks away. When they finally came out the guy looked at the job and said he didn't have what he needed for the job. After standing around shooting the breeze he finally left. About a week later we got a bill for $100! It said ""for work unable to be done""!!! 3 more weeks pass and they send another guy out. He looked at the job and said ""this will take 6 hours, my estimate is $750. for the job"" After a short discussion about how he has bills to pay and regardless of two old women's ability to pay there are thousands of people that can pay!! I just called them about this bill and they said ""we charge $100 to come to your town for estimates"" I've never heard of anyone doing that. I asked ""so two guys came out, you sent us a bill and then the other guy came out, are you going to charge me twice?"" ""We are only charging you for the second guy"" then she said if we didn't pay it she'd send it to collections. To make a long story short, I don't recommend them. On top of that we were able to fix the leak with caulking.

I don't know if i just got unlucky and had a bad inexperienced new plumber or what but i had the worst experience with this business ever. My toilet was leaking. Instead of doing anything professional the guy who hopefully was just new?, stuck caulk around the toilet. I'm sorry how does caulk stop a leak coming out of the bottom of the toilet? I'm not a plumber. I have no plumbing experience and even i suggested the seal probably needed to be replaced cause the toilet was also wobbly. But he didn't even take the toilet off to check. So needless to say it kept leaking so i called them again. They came out and this time i just asked them to replace the whole toilet because i didn't want to hassle with it anymore but they literally charged me full price labor for both visits. I'm sorry. I'm not responsible for the stupidity that resulted in having to come 2x. I called to complain but they refused to give me any credit. So i called one of their family members who is a friend of mine and they called for me and even then they only agreed to take half the labor charge off the first visit.

Because we have a home warranty we believe that Tri-County picks and chooses what calls they want to respond to. They probably do not make any money on home warranty calls so they will push out the response time as far as possible so as not to have accommodate the call.

Tri-County Plumbing is THE BEST hands down. From my first visit to the beautiful show room talking to Tawny(so helpful) to Brandy handling the scheduling and the workers doing the actual removal and installation of the tub/shower. They all went above and beyond with professionalism and quality workmanship. An extra thank you to Brandy for helping to smooth out some scheduling conflicts. #1 fan, Debbie M.

These guys are fantastic. They do what they say, show up on time and are extremely courteous. Our man, Robbie, was terrific to work with and super helpful - going above and beyond. I would highly recommend this company for any type of plumbing work in this area. Could not be happier.
