RAMON & TRI CITY PLUMBING ARE ABSOLUTELY AWESOME: Tonight at 10:32pm I received a voicemail from a rental tenant in Redlands that the home's water heater was leaking. NOT what I wanted to hear given that I live 60 miles away in Pasadena and none of my regular go-to plumbers are working late on a Saturday night for ANY price. What to do? I decided to roll the dice and consulted YELP for HELP. Based on his excellent reviews, I went with Ramon & Tri City Plumbing and won the plumber lottery: By 11:08pm Ramon was on-site providing me with an update about the problem. By 11:26pm the job was finished for a very reasonable price, especially given the late hour. From notification by my tenant to full repair in LESS THAN ONE HOUR including before & after photos ...ON A SATURDAY NIGHT...for a few hundred very well spent dollars. I found Ramon to be straight-forward, knowledgeable & friendly, and my tenant who works in the real estate field says Ramon was exceptional in his professionalism. I just found my new go-to plumber. I got Ramon by accident, I put out the request for quote to another site but copied others and Ramon was the first to respond back, in about 2 minutes. Then he gave me his price over the phone and I told him I wanted to wait for the original person I picked. He said no problem and I waited.
I received about 5 responses but most were very vague saying they would come over for a quote etc. My issue was very simple and I placed it in the original request, just a simple line stoppage that was known to be less than 5 feet long.
I called Ramon back and he said he would be there in the afternoon, but he showed up earlier then promised and had the stoppage cleared in less then 15 minutes. They were courteous and wore shoe covers from the time they came in the door. They did all as promised and my stoppage is free flowing now. I recommend Ramon highly.

My husband and I just recently bought a house here in Calimesa. The house passed most items during the inspection, however the water heater was approximately 18 years and the inspector recommended that the water heater needed to be changed. The seller gave us some money to credited during escrow. As soon as we moved in we bought a water heater and installation from Redlands Lowe's. The Lowe's subcontractor refused to wait until the water heater was filled as it was filling slowly. His boss told him to leave as he had more appointments to go to.
Shortly after this, we had no cold or hot water in either shower, and no hot water in the kitchen and the various other faucets had either no water or something wrong with them , also the toilets took 45 min to fill, so we called our home owners insurance that was included in the purchase of our house. Within the week that plumber came 2 times and could not fix our problem. That plumber said for him to come out again it would have go up to corporate, with them later denying any more help from them as they stated it was pre-existing. So I called some local plumbers, the first one that called me as Ramon. He called back and then came over that very night and started to work ( and this was very late, around 11 pm. He came back the very next day with another plumber and after back flushing our plumbing system with a compressor found what was blocking our lines. A back flow check ball came out! We are so grateful to him. He also is a very nice person and is incredibly fair in his pricing. We would highly recommend his company for any plumbing need!

I can't say enough great things about ramon and his company. My wife and I have a house in redlands thats very old and needed a complete repipeing. We moved out a few years ago and started renting the house. I was super nervous to hire a anyone because-
1. I wasn't there to oversee the work being done and
2. I watch a lot of HGTV and know shit can hit the fan pretty quick when getting into these bigger jobs.

I Got multiple estimates from a wide variety of companies but ramon was the only one that didn't nickle and dime me for every little thing. In fact, by the time the work was done, he went WAY above and beyond my expectations.

The thing that impressed me the most was his level of communication and responsiveness. The number I was given was his personal cell phone. Which means, anytime I called, he would answer and i would speak with him directly. If for any reason he didn't answer, I knew he would call me back within mins. Furthermore, The entire job took almost a week and he would call me every day to update me on his progress.

He was very knowledgeable and honest. He discussed with me all my options and always tried to save me money. In the end, i feel like he did save me thousands of dollars with all the little extra things he did. I can tell by talking to him, he is passionate about his work and always does his best. He personally guarantees everything he does. However, everything he's done works perfectly so I haven't needed to call him out on that but I know if I do, he'll be there

I wanted to note my experience here so others can consider in their choice of Tri-city plumbing services.

I had a water leak problem for which I called Tri-city plumbing to take a look. Ramon came and took a look. Just to clarify, in my situation leak had resulted in main water line to be shut down and was a critical issue to be fixed. Ramon said that these fixes usually takes some times to fix and said he will do it for a flat rate of $425. I didn't want to agree with it but given the situation I was in I reluctantly said ok as he indicated that typically such a fix will take at least 1-2 hours. Problem turned out to be a simple leak that he finished in 10 mins and didn't patch up the dry wall as he said that was not part of plumbing fix. Since I agreed to the price and paid him at the end of it I strongly feel that Ramon took advantage of the situation and unethically (he probably knew from his experience what is most likely the issue is) over-charged me. If there was a flat rate, he should have informed me before coming over to the property.

These are the facts and I want others to be wary of this 'trick' in future and not agree to flat rate pricing without getting another opinion.

I take full responsibility for agreeing to price before you did the work but on further reflection and I felt like I was taken advantage of given my situation.

I want to clarify few things:

- I was told about the patch work as a separate item only after the dry wall was already cut and not before the price was agreed upon. It was mentioned to me after I inquired realizing that dry wall will need to be repaired as well. I was assuming it will be included in the quoted price.
- Estimate of 30 minutes was not given before the price was agreed upon. It was done after the dry wall was cut.
- I checked with multiple plumbing companies and none of them offered flat rate for such services. Reason being that some job may take only 10 minutes like it was in my case or require much more extensive work. I checked your website too and there is no mention of a flat rate for such services.

Ramon was prompt, polite and very professional. His recommendations and prices were honest and affordable. He quickly cleared a large root that had caused a sewer line blockage and installed a new toilet that looks great. Would definitely call him a again for any future needs.

I left my number on Yelp for 4 different plumbing companies on a Sunday. Our main shower was not draining properly after we had tried all the usual DIY tactics. Ramon called right away (no one else called) and he asked if it was an emergency. I said no so he said he would call in the morning for directions to our house. He came before 9 AM and fixed the drain with his handy machine and was gone in 15 minutes...all for $75. We haven't had a plumber come to our house that promptly and at a decent price in 20 years or more. We will call him again as he is an excellent business man. His Tri-City company will grow through his work ethic and customer service I am sure!
