Called for service on my hot water heater. Made appointment... tech never showed. Contacted multiple times and would get their answering service. Finally 3 hours after the initial call the business scheduler said I never made the appointment which is BS! Stay away from Townside! They are incompetent and could care less about the customer.
They say they have no record of mine it's because they initially installed my tank in 2015 which they have said their records don't go back that far!

I purchased a water heater for my mother-in-law from Home Depot and paid $482 for a 50 gallon electric Rheem water heater. I needed it installed and went through Home Depot who coordinated my install with Townside Plumbing. During the initial call, I notified them that they would need to pickup the water heater from Home Depot. When I asked for an estimated quote, I was told it would be $595 for the install. Once the install was completed the tech then said it was $625!!! I contacted the main office and they tried saying it was because they had to pick up the water heater. Even after I stated that it was discussed previously and was included in the quote. In the end I had to pay but definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. If you do go with them, make sure you get everything in writing.

It's been years since I reviewed a business because though I've been disappointed in the past I've not been inspired to tell others to avoid, at all costs, a specific business. Here, communication was at best lacking. Calls were not returned and delays incurred for simple questions such as, ""What's the status of the water heater we are replacing and when do you think we can schedule the service?"" Additionally, the end result was not what was promised or expected. We had both a water heater replaced and a water pump replaced and in the end the 'water pump', according to a technician from the same business, is not actually a water pump and so one of the problems was not fixed. Finally, despite requests to have a record of service and parts request created none was provided. In short, if you want a half-butt result, poor communication and the uncertainty of what's being done and when then these folks are it.
