Recently called Town & Country to fix a clogged bathroom sink. The plumber they sent out was a nice guy, took care of a nasty clog, cleaned up the mess and charged a fair price. I'll definitely call them for a future clog or leak.

Town and Country Plumbing overcharged us and then, after agreeing to a partial refund, reneged.

Andy paid a 10 minute visit to our house and told us a toilet filler valve needed to be replaced; since it was an old toilet, he needed to order the part. He returned a few days later with a filler valve conversion kit and installed it in about 10 minutes. The bill was $285. After learning that valves were available on Amazon for as little as $20, I called Andy and asked how much he had paid. He said he had bought a conversion kit from Kohler for about $160. I asked for the receipt and he promised to send it. He never did.

I called him about the receipt and he told me his father (the owner of the business) refused to provide it. He also said that the conversion kit cost $120--not $160--and said that the balance of the bill was for labor. He claimed two hours of labor since he had made two visits. I acknowledged a minimum fee for one hour of labor, no matter how much time spent, but felt that the twenty minutes of his time should not be billed as two hours. He agreed that his billing time had not been made clear at the outset and promised to refund $90. This was never done. Town and Country did not have the courtesy to inform me it was not making a refund or to explain to me why it was breaking its promise to do so.

So; I call these people to determine if I want to try them. On the phone: first thing out of their mouth is a quote to replace my toilet (clogged) with a $6nn Toto. ""Or, you can go cheaper with this product for $4nn.""

Seriously? You have not even seen my building, much less my toilet.

Needless to say, I went elsewhere. Still have the same toilet but, now have learned a better way to plunge.

Lame!

Was charged $305 to replace a garbage disposer. Thought that was steep. It was not an emergency call. They just got me in whenever. Their cost of a garbage disposer is probably about $70 (and that's a generous figure in my opinion), so I was charged $235 for labor and some pipes and glue for an hour worth of work.

On a separate incident from few years before that, which I had completely forgotten, until I started typing, I called them to get a quote to fix something (don't remember what it was). The owner, I assume, gave me a quote. I asked if they can give me a discount, since they were going to be in the complex giving a bid to the HOA. The owner said ""ma'am, I think you're better off calling a handyman"".

I wish my HOA would stop using these guys. All our homeowners will be paying less on HOA dues.

I discovered my bathroom sink faucet was running and I tried but could not shut it off. I tried the shut off the valves under the sinks, but again they would not shut the water off. I eventually had someone shut it off. However, I began looking for a plumber. Some companies could come out in three days or next week.

I contacted Town and Country and they had Sam the plumber out in less than 2 hours. Sam examined the situation and explained everything that I needed to know about the problem. I talked to a friend of mine after Sam finished and said that I may have been able to get the job done a little cheaper. However, I considered that Sam came out right away and he was very personable, kind, and the kind of person that you could trust in your home.

My feelings are that you get what you pay for and it is the cost of home ownership. I couldn't be happier with this company and would give Sam, and Town & Country my highest recommendation.

Our sink was plugged with what turned out to be years of soap build up. I was worried this would cost an arm and a leg, but the service was very affordable, we paid what we were quoted over the phone. Sam did an awesome job and was super friendly, even arrived early in the two hour time window. He was very professional and answered any questions my husband and I had. We will definitely call them again, but hopefully not too soon! Thanks again!

Abel did a fantastic job repairing our water main. The owner, Gary, worked with us when we were very stressed out about our leak. He stayed calm even when we were not and ensured that the end result was to our satisfaction. Thank you for saving us!!!! I highly recommend this plumbing company!

Meant to post this on Yelp when the work was completed, just getting to it now. Had a drainage line replaced from home to septic. Difficult location (under sidewalk slab out back door). Efficient and Excellent work done, at a fair price. Thank you.

Don't call this company unless you have money and time to throw away. I had a toilet backed up and asked them to investigate the cause and fix it.. They tried one thing after another probably like everyone else (ie. snake, camera, etc...) That's probably reasonable. But instead of a fixed charge, they charged me for every step they did, citing the time and material they used !!!! So after $900 of charge, they said the problem is fixed. Asked them for a little discount, they said they already saved me money by not cutting open a drain pipe they wanted to do in the beginning. Really??? The toilet worked for one day and then backed up again. Not really happy with that... Called them back and they said they wanted to cut open the drain pipe to fix it because they thought that's the cause. And of course, they wanted to charge me more money for that too. So the problem was still not fixed and I very much paid for their time figuring out what the problem really was, and I was not sure they knew what's going on. It turns out, they almost cut and replace a section of pipe in my house that was not even the problem!!! (found that out through another plumber).

Would you want to let them open your whole house up so they can figure out what the problem is and then charge you for all that? I wish I knew better.
