Recommended Customer Reviews

Town & Country Plumbing and Construction LLC was hired in Sept 2014 to perform a complete remodel and small addition of a single-family home. The project required filing permits with the City of Seattle on the demolition of parts of the interior, existing garage, and new addition. Also, a number of engineering & architectural documents were required to be prepared for city review of the project. The contractor notified me throughout the project that all requirements were submitted and collected more than $31,000 in deposits and payments intended to pay for required architectural drawings, structural engineering documentation, geo-surveys, permit fees, labor, etc.
Contractor started demolition on existing structure in October. He only did a partial demo of the home interior and abruptly stopped work for more than seven weeks. Repeated phone calls and texts inquiring about the stoppage resulted in various excuses ranging from illness, delays with the City, and that he was busy with other customers/projects he was finishing up.
After nearly two months of no additional work on the project being completed, I terminated our contract. I later investigated with the City of Seattle Planning Dept to find out that the contractor did not file for any of the required permits, did not submit required engineering and architectural documentation for the home addition, and did not set up any of the required reviews with the City.
To date, I have paid the contractor over $31K for what amounts to a partial kitchen demo. I made numerous attempts to contact the contractor to negotiate a refund for the money that was not earned, but they have been ignored. This is a classic case of a contractor that breached a contract, communicated false information, and ran off with money he did not earn. Avoid this contractor and his company at all costs!!!
