ECELLENT SERVICE AND AN EXCELLENT TECHNICIAN

Called TTC at the request of our building management firm. Booking was painless and booking staff very professional

Matt the technician arrived on time and respectfully asked where to place his shoes and tools. Total time to initiate and setup the HVAC system for seasonal usage, about 70"". MATT explained what he was doing and never ever once did I hear the usual tech BS about how old my system is and I should consider replacing the system.

Matt was polite, respectful and instructive.

I will use this company again in the future.

It was the worst customer service i ever had. She had No respect and also screamed during the phone call with me this morning. I can understand everything that representative talked via the phone. But she can't understand anything i said. And no patient at all. I just try to get a quote. No more continued service with this company.

By the way, they charge 160 just for an indoor water heater diagnose, and 125 for every more hours followed.

We just installed a Lochinvar 150 tankless and we love it!

I did a lot of research and contacted a lot of plumbing companies and compared lots of quotes.

We decided on Total Temperature Control out of Wakefield. They have trained Lochinvar installers and are a decent sized company. Very professional and knowledgable.

They send a crew of 4-5 people and can get the work done in two days. The electrician on the crew (Paul) was really good and also very knowledgeable on the tankless systems.

The hot water is great... might take a few extra seconds to be delivered but then it never gets cold... (we are in a two level condo). We had a ""combi"" unit installed and TTC connected it well to our heating and cooling system.

We are really happy we went with Total Temperature Control.

Update due to chronic billing error. Despite mailing and emailing my Credit Card Statement as proof of payment almost two years ago, I continued to receive Bills. Finally, they paid attention to what I sent and cleared my account. Technical staff are great. Office staff are a major problem enough for me not to use them again.

Dissapointed in our experience with TCC as they refused to correct an error by one of their technicians, who cracked a cap on the condensate drain line and resulted in a leak all over the floor and into the ceiling of the bedroom below. They refused to acknowledge this as their responsibility (even though i had seen the tech remove and re-install the cap in question and no one else had touched it).

Full Story
We had contacted TCC to perform service work on our home system (recently purchased new house - so this was the system's first winter) which was experiencing an Error code issue (Error 31). On the first visit from a tech he investigated, took various items apart and rebuilt as part of the troubleshooting. This included taking a cap off the condensate drain line, adding tape and goop and putting it back on. The system was able to turn back on after his visit, but then about 24 hours later the error reappeared.

That was understandable - diagnosing errors can be tricky.

A second tech visit was scheduled, this time it was delayed by multiple hours because of a school delay for the technicians children. This was an annoyance and we wish they had reached out about the delay (before the end of the 1 hour window they had given which is when we called them to ask) but not the end of the world.

The second tech was able to find the correct issue (a plug that hadnt been removed by the install team) and the system finally started working consistently. A few days later we notice water dripping from the ceiling of the room below the system and on investigation noticed that the cap on the condensate line had been cracked.

We know it wasnt leaking before the TCC team had visited, i know the first tech did interact with the cap, and i know no one else in the house touched the cap but TCC wouldnt take ownership of their mistake or take steps to fix the cap and damage. I was hoping to find a new HVAC company to use for service work in the future but am very disappointed that TCC would not take ownership of their mistake and the damage it caused.

Side note: we had left the same review on google and they replied to say that another company had installed it and a family member had touched it - yes while another company DID install the system, and TCC was able to find out that there was a plug issue (after the 2nd visit, not caught during the 1st), no one else had touched the upstairs. The issue we had was the water leakage after the TCC team had visited that they refused to help rectify - even if it meant coming back to taking another look and us paying for it.

I do not recommend this company to anyone. My first encounter was for them to service my hvac as I had just moved into this townhouse. All seemed fine. Then a few months later, I had a leak in my attic coming through the ceiling vent under my hvac unit in the attic. I called them to come look at the HVAC as they had given it a good report. THe technician came out and said the dryer vent by the hvac unit was the problem but he could fix it. He came back and glued a PVC 90 degree elbow to a 3/4"" pvc pipe that went straight up through the roof. Then taped it to the silver dryer vent coming through the ceiling from the 2nd floor laundry room. This did not solve any problem. He charge my for 2 hours work and $66 for a 2 pieces of PVC, total bill $316. I called for him to come back since it was still leaking. Meanwhile I hired a competent person to fix the problem correctly. THe technician returned while the competent worker was correcting the problem which cost me $450. THe competent worker had to explain the whole thing to the Total Temperature worker. When I complained to the Total Temp worker, he denied being the original worker. He said he would talk to the boss about this matter and I would get a call. I waited a week and called the office to complain. The office manager said she would talk to the owner and I would get a call back. Nothing has happened. I hope this report will help others who don't like paying for incompetent work.

Go elsewhere.
Boiler wasn't working correctly and yemp was dropping so I called and spoke with their answering service. Explained the issue and was called by the On Call tech. He said we were good until the next day and he would let the office know and they would call to let me know a time they could come that day. Next morning no call back. Called them and was eventually told that they could ""maybe"" do Monday, 3 days away. Are you kidding me???
3 days for a failing boiler emergency call?
The tech said they never leave people without heat. I understand that they are busy, so am I, but I would have kept calling around to others that would have responded or at least called back to take care of this. Unexceptable.
I will never call or recommend this company agian. Better options out there that provide better service. Thanks for nothing.

Zero star. I've used them for the last 5 years for both my home and rental units and when I ask them to check for an air leak in my home, the tech (young guy) came out and stabbed about 20-30 holes into the insulated duct work. When he finally found the leak, he simply said the duct has to be redone. Ok, not an issue. Then he proceed to say he can't do it until September (this happened 06/12/2018.) Ok, still not an issue. I asked him to tape up the holes and he said even if he tape up the holes, I would still need to get it rewrapped. I told him I rather have air throughout the house then let it leak here (basement) and not cooling upstairs at all. So I stood there and watched him tape up all the holes (he definitely gave me major attitude with me being there watching him tape up each hole.) Called the office and got an appt for duct work rewrap on 9/17.

Fast forward to 9/17/2018 when he was supposed to come back out to rewrap the duct. The office called a couple days before to confirm the appt., Then call the night before with the time frame. Well, what do you know, the guy never showed up. So I call the girls in the office and they said that because it's a rewrap of a duct, the project manager will have to call me to schedule an appt. For a walk through and a quote. HELLO? You couldn't tell me that 3 months ago???!!! Anyway, I told her to have the project manager call me asap. She told me he (Steve?) would call me before the end of business day. Well, that didn't happen. I called back (3 days later) and the girl in the office said, ""when something like this happens, we're always the one getting yelled at. I'll make sure he calls you back."" I wasn't even yelling, I just wanted a call back. Well, I still haven't got a phone call. So obviously, I'm taking my business elsewhere.

We scheduled appointments with TTC twice and they never showed up and did not even have the courtesy to call to let us know.
