Total Service PHD is led by Ken Roche, a licensed master plumber. From the age of 10, Ken was immersed in plumbing, learning from his father, a licensed master plumber. You could say Ken is a true expert, possessing a ""plumbing PHD,"" as plumbing runs deep in his veins. Ken and his team have been a trusted name in Steamboat for 18 years, formerly operating as Roche Plumbing and Heating. They excel in these areas: plumbing, heating, drains, and sewers. They focus on outstanding customer service, are on call 24/7, and maintain the highest level of insurance in the industry. They have faced numerous challenges and are capable of tackling any job.

Ken Roche earned his Masters License at just 25 years old and launched Roche Plumbing & Heating in 1994. With Ken's expertise, the business quickly grew, shifting focus from custom homes and condos to comprehensive plumbing services. In 1997, he ventured into concrete demolition with Core Bore, but sold it in 2001 to create ""Monsters of the Underground"". In 2001, he expanded his services to Roche Trenchless Plumbing, utilizing advanced video technology, locators, and high-pressure jetters to tackle tough drain and sewer issues. This innovative approach allows his skilled team to line existing pipes with top-quality epoxy and polyester, repairing old sewers without excavation. Today, Ken has rebranded the business as Total Service P.H.D. to reflect the wide range of services offered.

With a father who was a master plumber and general contractor, Ken Roche is inherently equipped for this line of work. Ken, a native of upstate New York, graduated from Niagara University in 1991 and settled in Steamboat Springs to experience the ""ski bum"" lifestyle. Like many others, he found that the ""lifestyle"" was not as fulfilling as expected and sought reliable employment. Ken re-entered the field he knew best: plumbing. He earned his Masters License at 25 and started Roche Plumbing & Heating in 1994, later transforming it into Total Service, PHD. With Total Service, Ken follows a ""one call does it all"" approach, managing everything from significant excavation and sewer repairs to perimeter drains and septic systems. His skilled team is prepared to handle everything with just one phone call. This also encompasses general contracting for extensive flood damage from frozen and burst pipes.
