At the helm of Total Service PHD is Ken Roche, a master plumber with a license. Starting at just 10 years old, Ken worked alongside his dad, a licensed master plumber. Ken's expertise in plumbing is undeniable; he truly has a ""plumbing PHD"" as it is part of his heritage. For 18 years, Ken has served the Steamboat community, initially as Roche Plumbing and Heating, demonstrating their reliability. They excel in these areas: plumbing, heating, drains, and sewers. They prioritize excellent customer service, are available 24/7, and hold the highest insurance coverage in the industry. They have faced numerous challenges and are capable of tackling any job.

At the age of 25, Ken obtained his Masters License and founded Roche Plumbing & Heating in 1994. With Ken's expertise, the business quickly grew, shifting focus from custom homes and condos to comprehensive plumbing services. In 1997, he started Core Bore for concrete demolition, later selling it in 2001 to launch ""Monsters of the Underground"". In 2001, he broadened his offerings with Roche Trenchless Plumbing, employing cutting-edge video cameras, locators, and high-pressure jetters to address challenging drain and sewer problems. His team can line existing pipes with premium epoxy and polyester, effectively repairing old sewers without excavation. Currently, Ken has renamed the business Total Service P.H.D. to showcase the extensive services provided.

With a father who was a master plumber and general contractor, Ken Roche is inherently equipped for this line of work. Ken, a native of upstate New York, graduated from Niagara University in 1991 and settled in Steamboat Springs to experience the ""ski bum"" lifestyle. As with many, he discovered that the ""lifestyle"" was not as appealing as it appeared and needed to find steady work. He turned back to the profession he was most familiar with: plumbing. At the age of 25, he secured his Masters License and launched Roche Plumbing & Heating in 1994, ultimately rebranding to Total Service, PHD. Ken's ""one call does it all"" philosophy at Total Service covers all aspects, from major excavation and sewer repairs to perimeter drains and septic systems. His experienced team is ready to manage it all with a single phone call. They even provide general contracting services for major flood damage resulting from frozen and burst pipes.
