The worst service we have ever experienced. They installed our HVAC system we bought from them for $7500 and in less than 3 years the fan seized up and we waited for 3 weeks to get it replaced and now this year the FAN motor has died. Total Comfort, after waiting two weeks for the new motor to come in they ORDERED THE WRONG ONE!! Then they blamed it on the distributor sending the wrong one which they must have NEVER checked when it came in because as soon as the tech came and saw the system he said it was the wrong one. Now here it is going on another almost two weeks and haven't heard a peep from them. This I might add is summer in Virginia and we have been having 95° heat but with no air conditioning thanks to Total Comfort. DO NOT RECCOMEND!!

Total Comfort installed out HVAC 20 years ago when we built out house. They have given us amazing service ever since. This past moth both units died and couldn't be repaired because of the new Freon requirements. They gave us extra consideration for that and had both units replaced within 5 days. They were also $5000.00 less than the other quotes we got. We couldn't be happier.

Total Comfort Heating, Air & Plumbing was very responsive when I requested an appointment to consult about cost efficient means for switching from propane convection heat / window air conditioners during my home renovation. Total Comfort was very thoughtful in the approach to solve my home's issues and presented me with a few different options. Ultimately, I selected a ductless air/heat option that really works great for us! What I loved and appreciated most about Total Comfort is punctuality, in-depth knowledge of their profession, honesty and helpfulness! After the ductless system was installed one of the guys even came out to walk me thru how to use the system (which was super system)! I look forward to recommending Total Comfort to family and friends as they are reliable, excellent listeners and know what they're doing!

It's been less than 1 year and I've had someone out to recharge the unit due to it not cooling correctly. Had someone out about a couple of weeks later For a leak check. Did not find a leak. Here it is about 1 month later and my unit agin is not cooling properly. DO NOT USE ARS. It's a total shit show!

I""m giving a 5 star review for the service. Needed a plumber asap for a leaking tub faucet, Barbara had Marty available and he was here in less than hour. The issue was a faulty cartridge. Marty had the cartridge on hand and fixed in less than 30 minutes. My only issue was the cost/invoice. There was a $69 service fee and and $189 for a $40-50 part. I received a call from Total Comfort asking why I gave a 4 star review on Google (no means to leave a comment) and explained because of the cost of the part. He explained that it included overhead and labor cost. I highly recommend a better breakdown on the invoice, perhaps separately listing the labor fess from the part fees I will definitely use Total Comfort again and already have them scheduled to do my annual AC maintenance. I highly recommend Total Comfort.

This company is inept and incapable. After numerous attempts to make contact with them about our HVAC not functioning well, which they installed six months prior, we have finally given up. They initially came to our home and told us that we ""needed to open our vents for the AC to work."" Of course, our vents were already open. We then waited and received calls from technicians saying they would arrive within the hour and never did! This company has a guarantee that your issue should be evaluated within 24 hours and they have rarely held up that end of the bargain. A brand new HVAC system should NOT be malfunctioning, and even if it is, the company who INSTALLED it who we have a WARRANTY with should be more responsive.

There are so many other options in the central Virginia area and I implore you to look elsewhere. It is not worth the headache!

Worst customer service ever!! We waited weeks and spent over 1,000 just for them to tell us the actual repair was going to be 1,000 more dollars. I got lower quotes from two other companies who made it a priority to come out the next day and not leave us in the middle of july with no a/c for weeks. We are an active duty military family and they completely scammed us.

Don't bother with these guys. I got referred to them through Home Depot for HVAC replacement. The system in my house does not heat or cool the entire house properly, Had one HVAC company come out and explain that all my ductwork needed to be replaced instead of just an entire new system or second system (for 2 zones).

Wanted a second opinion so wanted ARS to come out to give their opinion and quote. After making an appointment for 3 PM, got a phone call for 4PM, technician seemed unwilling to come out as I couldn't fully explain the problem to him over the phone. At 5 PM, he called back and said he wouldn't come and basically that I didn't need help. Guess he thought I was wasting his time.

So, I had an independent HVAC expert confirm the first company's findings (someone who had the experience but wouldn't be doing the work). I guess that company is getting the 8K contract and not ARS since I wasn't worth their time to even look.

Had a simple tune up scheduled...(They called us)No show on Tuesday, no show on Saturday & no show on Monday evening...I even spoke with the GM....very poor customer service!

Yesterday, Total Comfort completed my simi annual maintenance on my heating and AC units. My technician was Kevin.
He was extremely thorough, prompt, and courteous. Couldn't ask for more.
