I have been engaged in the family's Heating and Air Conditioning business my whole life, starting from the beginning, washing trucks, working my way to the highest levels one role at a time from installation, repair, estimating, sourcing, and various roles you can consider. I advanced to the role of President of Total Comfort in 2006 upon my dad's exit and expanded the business into pipe services and Insulation.
I comprehend every part of my business, which allows me to be the strongest leader I can be. My goal is to maintain developing one customer at a time. We guarantee every individual customer is made to feel like part of our community, because once you do business with us, you are family. I have been joyfully married to my amazing wife for over 19 years. We have two sons, Sean and Evan. I am actively involved in my kids' athletic activities, from leading and managing their little league, basketball, and football teams to being their most enthusiastic fan on the court.

We had an issue with our thermostat not syncing with our router. We've had the unit almost a year with no previous problems. We called up Total Comfort and they sent out a technician the next day. Edwin Garcia came over in a timely manner and greeted us with a smile. That pretty much set the tone of the visit. He asked what our issue was and he attempted to remedy the situation. Because he wasn't able to do it, he called Ecobee and got followed the agent's instructions and in no time, our thermostat was syncing and everything was back to normal. We really had a great experience with TCI with the immediate visit of their technician and the exemplary concern and assistance from Edwin Garcia.

I originally called Total Comfort, Inc. for a second opinion after receiving an INSANE quote from another company based out of Ontario to fix my broken whole house fan. After speaking with the rep on the phone they waived their customary $69 fee since it was for a second opinion. I wanted a local company that I could work with and wanted a vendor I could rely upon to service my home. They setup an appointment for several days later and that worked perfectly with my schedule. I was not home at the time and my wife met with Randy to get a quote. Randy and his team did a complete inspection of my existing ceiling fan and gave me several viable options of repairing it (it was in BAD shape), or replacing it with a new similar model. My fan was 6 years old, had a broken belt, and was leaking fluid. After some discussion with Randy I opted to just replace the unit as the price they quoted was fantastic. Less than 50% of the previous quote I had received. I went ahead and gave Randy the approval to move forward with the project. Randy and his team came out on a saturday morning and had the project done very quickly. They identified some potential trouble ductwork issues in my attic and fixed them while they installed the new fan. The respect for my home and family that Randy and the rest of his team observed cannot be overstated. They were very clean, respectful and meticulous. I appreciated the honest up front pricing that I was given and the quality of the work. While they were onsite I asked Randy if he could give me a ballpark quote on replacing my aging 30+ yr old furnance & leaky a/c unit.
Randy got back to me about 2 hours later with an exact quote that was very reasonable. After some discussion we managed to get a great unit that fit perfectly in my home for what we were looking for. Randy and his team helped me secure the proper funding and took care of all the permits. As was the case with the whole house fan install his team was once again absolutely fantastic and had the old unit pulled and the new unit completely installed in 1 day. Randy has his team answered all of our question completely and without any hesitation. During the install of the new unit his team brought to my wife's attention that we have a leak in our water heater and did a routine check at my wife's request. Turns out the water heater in my house was installed in 2010 and has lasted about 18 years. Definitely over the service life of standard water heater. Randy explained the situation to the company boss and they offered me a fantastic deal to change out my water heater. I was so pleased with the results of the previous jobs and the straight dealing I have had with this Company, Randy and his crew that we just approved project number 3 and are moving forward with the replacement of the aged water heater and moving to a new tankless water heater in my home.
What I liked about this company and what set them above the rest:
1. Straight up fair and honest pricing the first time.
2. Randy and his team treated my house and my family with the utmost respect.
3. When Randy says he will get back to you, he WILL get back to you. He's a busy guy and he followed up every question and concern I had EVERYTIME.
4. Randy and his team were extremely clean, quick, and accurate on their installs.
5. At no time was there ANY sales pressure. In fact all inquiries for quotes were initiated by me based on personally what I observed of their work ethic and actions.
I am not a handy guy with house stuff and I know my limitations. This has been one of the few contractors that I have dealt with in the 4+ years of owning my home that I did not feel that I was being taken advantage of or pressured into purchasing anything. No bull, no scare tactics, Very refreshing.

The guys came out to replace our HVAC system, attic ducts (and registers/vents), and water heater and did an awesome job.
Randy, Jose, Ray, Paco, and Greg were all very respectful to us and our home. They are a great group of guys that did top-notch work and I would highly recommend them for this work.
The few items that I had concerns/feedback on were promptly taken care of with no questions asked. Great customer service by all these guys!

So disappointed with this company. They did the central air and heart for our new house we had a problem called them and it's been 2 days never heard from them. Called another company and got the problem taken care of right away. We have a newborn and toddler and can't afford to be waiting days and days for their service. Def wouldn't recommend them and I'll be putting in a complained to our home builder hopefully consider another company since they don't stand by their work.

Review is long over due. Since Total comfort deleted my original post that reflected my horrible experience, I will do a quick recap of why I would not recommend this company.
1) they are just out to get your money and will rip you off. This is the main reason why I need to post this because I was a victim of this. For Someone who knows nothing about air conditioning, I was sold on putting zones in my less than 1400sq ft, ONE STORY home. Not my fault, but the Sales man's fault because he did not do his due diligence by being dishonest.
It's a no brainer,you make business by being loyal and honest to your customers.
2) this company stressed me and my family out. My AC and heater kept breaking down, they knew there was a problem and kept coming out pretending like they fixed the problems when in realty they were trying to hide the bigger problem, the duct work was done completely wrong.
Long story short, they did a crappy job. But I didn't give up without a fight because I knew I was being cheated. I fought until they came out and did the work right and reimbursed me for the crappy zoning job they did. Any expert technician would not recommend zoning at all but they made me think it was ideal and would save me money on my energy bill. well go figure, it did just the opposite.
I refuse to continue to do business with this company but I feel that my experience needs to be shared. I hope James the salesman who calls himself the ""supervisor"" is no longer with this company. He's the reason why it all snowballed into a huge nightmare. I can't stand people who are dishonest and willing to rip off their customers.

Edwin came out to my house to check the heater and he was so nice and polite. He didn't try to speak down to me, as many men who come out to do service do with me. He explained everything and was very thorough. I really appreciated his professionalism! Thank you!!

This review is mainly for Randy more so than the company itself. In the summer of 2016, I had to completely replace my AC unit that I had only had for about 5 years. Needless to say, it was expensive and time consuming. I didn't have AC for about a month during a heat wave while I waited for the parts to arrive. Well, it sucked. However, Randy was great. He was always understanding of my frustrations and concerns, and I felt like he was really working on my behalf. During this whole disastrous experience, Randy had given me his cell number so he could text me updates on the parts. This was way easier than having to call and deal with people who don't know my situation every time I wanted an update.
Anyway, fast forward to 1.5 years later, and Total Comfort contacts me to schedule a routine check up on my AC system (included in my membership as long as they don't find anything wrong). They sent Randy to do it. He confirmed that everything was working fine, and he left without any charge. Hours later at around 9 or 10 PM, I started to realize that my AC hadn't turned on at all since Randy was there doing the check up earlier that day. It was set at 74, and it was about 77 in the room and the AC wasn't kicking on. What??? Luckily, I had Randy's cell, so I texted him and told him what was going on. Without hesitation, after hours, he hopped in the car and drove back out to LA to fix it free of charge. It was luckily a simple fix this time, but I really appreciated that Randy took it upon himself to make it right no matter what time it was instead of making me wait until the next day. He's great at providing excellent service, and I feel like he's always acting in the best interest of the customer. Thanks!

Edwin came today to do my regular maintenance. He was very professional and very thorough! He recommended a couple of things that I really needed but didn't think of. I appreciate his honesty and hard work. I'm never let down every time they come. This is the Company I've been solely dealing with for 3 years now.

Third company called this one had a polite way of answering to my service request young lady asked for model number of the refrigerator and the year built gave all info, she asked me to be available between 3-5 pm did so.
About 3:30 scheduler called to advise tech would be arriving within the following 30 min.
5 min later he calls back to inform me they do not service refrigerators , I'm sorry come again?? Why would someone ask details as to brand and year after I had explained I had a dead refrigerator to now be told sorry wrong company??
Great people and etiquette but damn waisted my day from 11am the call was made could have secured someone else.

Let me start off by saying this company is NOT one to go to if you need a repair or just a simple fix. This company strictly focuses on sales. you call them and ask for service and all they care about is how they are going to sale you a brand new unit, they'll send the most sales oriented tech (depending how old your system is) to sale you something you don't need. Also The whole UPP membership they sale you is a scam! the only reason they have that is for them to go out every few months for ""complimentary tune ups"" but it's just a way to take money from you each visit they go out too until you're ready for that new unit. Avoid TC at all costs I know some of you will read this and just think I'm another angry customer but I'm not. Only stating facts, don't get ripped off by these people.
