Thankyou James , Omar and the rest of the team at Total Comfort for the installation of our air conditioner. They were very creative in finding a solution to the electrical problem associated with the original location of the unit. Then they had to hire a crane to lift the unit into our backyard to avoid the possibility of causing some damage to the frame of one of our doors. The last challenge was meeting the stringent building codes here in Newport Beach. All the while being positive and accommodating. Fabulous job - highly recommend Total Comfort.

I was given an estimate for remove/replace our ac/heater blower motor, 5 ton unit at 976$
Part searches looked $115-160. Watching you tube video showed it to be above my paygrade but probably one hour labor. When I wasn't home the next day, they called back to say they had some ""open box"" parts available. On top of this, the installer was pushy. I'm going to use somebody else.

Total Comfort Inc.,(TCI) sent a technician to install F100 filter for my HVAC. But I was told by the TCI appointment scheduler, this appointment to talk about benefits. This is second time I am experiencing this type of miscommunication.

The technician Dimitrios Dauvikas handled the situation excellent. He took the moment to understand the situation and explained the benefits. Because of how he handled the situation, I am thinking of installing F100. TCI folks you need someone like Dimitrios in your on Call service. Because of him I am giving 4 star instead of 2 star.

From the time I called to inquire about their services/availability to the time the technicians left, it was a great experience.

Very informative and the company communicates throughout the entire process by email, phone, in-person; they let you know what is going on at any point in the process.

The technicians (Mike - lead and Gary - apprentice) were nice, friendly, clean and professional

I'd use them again and will tell others (non-yelpers)

I Don't recommend This place is not profesional at all, they are a group of young thief's that don't know what they are doing, they write a statement and say that is going to take days to fix but when they come to fix it only one 16 years old kid shows up and expend one hr and then they charge $3,500.00 for nothing, they are a young group of thief's.

Just don't use them. Wouldn't recommend and would never use them again.

Yes, they do overcharge.

Their poor and inadequate services are overpriced.

They make false promises and will get you later to make you pay more.

Just make sure you get everything IN WRITING if you do go with them, but I dont understand why you would even call them. There are many A/C repair guys in the area that does it better. Msg me and I will tell you where to go.

They are not going to stay in business for long. Just don't bother.

We tried out this company because they have great customer service over the phone. But when they came to our house for quotes the prices were very high. I believe this company over charges for their services. We received two quotes of ridiculously high prices. I asked for a break down of the costs to submit to my home owners warranty for my home and they never followed through. We enrolled in their monthly program as you can receive a discount but we decided even with the discount their prices are too high so we decided to cancel. After 3 months I noticed I was still receiving withdrawals from my account. Overall I would not recommend this company.

Please read the review before you ever give this company a chance! Let me start off by saying that a guy name Albert helped me out over the Phone or so he thought at first, it was 106 degrees outside in the city of Perris where my 85 year old grandmother lives, her AC went out and I decided to call a AC company to come out and assist her although I my Husband owns his own AC company for over 15 years. He was out of town so I had no choice, I yelped the best AC company in the Inland Empire and Total Comfort INC came up the reviews were good so I gave them a call. Right off the back Some guy named Albert got on the phone and was very rude to my grandmother, I then took over the phone call and he was rude to me telling me how it did't matter if I did business with his company or not, that it was hot and we needed them more than they needed us. No other company could come out so I had to give them a chance even though that was a red flag. I booked the appointment it took forever for the truck to come the dispatch didn't seem like they knew what they were doing at all. When the tech finally came to my grandmother's house they looked at the ac unit for a little while and then came in the house and said she need a brand new unit and it was going to be 10k for the unit or fix the motor for 5k. Like I mentioned my husband has been doing this work forever so I knew her unit wasn't in that bad of shape. I told them that we would pass on the recommendations made. The tech then said you wasted my time driving this far from corona and drove off. I've never felt so disrespected and cheap, I felt like they tried to rip my poor grandmother off and myself because we were females. I called my husband and told him what happened he came the next day and just added Freon to the unit and it worked fine.. They tried to charge me 10k dollars when it was a simple fix thats no morals as a company and no ethics. I called to speak with the Owner Kieth and kept getting the run around finally spoke to him and he was about as helpful as a dead clock on the wall.. I wouldn't ever use this company If i were you please be cautious!!!!!

I will only give a terrible review when I am confident that a business did not have my best interests in mind and/or tried to swindle me. This review is for service received a little less than a year ago when I had Total Comfort come out for an AC tune-up. I have chosen to post this review now after having another AC tune-up done yesterday by a different company (the only tune-up done after Total Comfort ""serviced"" my system). The new company I am using has shown me honesty, integrity, and great customer service. They also confirmed my suspicions that Total Comfort pulled a fast one on me by doing some very thorough investigative work for me.

When Total Comfort did my AC tune-up they told me of several problems with my system that needed my immediate attention: the run capacitor needed to be replaced, freon needed to be added or they would not be responsible for future system damage, I needed more roofing insulation for which they quoted a ridiculously high price ($4K to $5K for 750 sq. ft) and sent a guy out who tried to bully me several times into buying their product. On top of that, I found out that the tech who came out did not do as thorough a cleaning or inspection of my system that my current company did. The new company found loose wiring that should have been caught very easily. This loose wiring caused another part to fail, which I had to replace yesterday. Total Comfort either missed, purposely overlooked, or in the worst case caused these problems with the wiring so that they could charge me exhorbitant fees to fix what they had ""warned"" me about earlier regarding the freon. The run capacitor was tested by the new company right in front of me and the results were perfectly acceptable. No freon needed to be added either (what a surprise!). Regarding roofing insulation, the new company actually showed me how much roofing insulation I currently have (which Total Comfort never did). My insulation is acceptable although newer homes are insulated to the next higher level. While more insulation will make the home more comfortable, it is not absolutely required. This is what I expect of a company. Also, the quote they gave me for additional insulation is 1/5th of the priced quoted by Total Comfort!!!

Overall, the impression I got from this company is that they put their interests ahead of the customer's. I will never do business with them again. I took the time to write this review to warn anyone else out there who is thinking of hiring them. It's hard to find an honest and trustworthy HVAC company out there, but keep looking. I am currently with Service Champions: they are leagues ahead of Total Comfort. There are other companies listed on Yelp with great reviews. Companies such as Total Comfort need to realize that people are not as stupid as they think and they cannot continue doing business like this. After reading other reviews of this company it seems to me that my experience with Total Comfort is common-place.

By the way, if Total Comfort responds to this review I hope they don't pretend that they have never heard of me or that I am not a legitimate customer. I have seen them respond to other negative reviews like this.

Service tech was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I am on the bi yearly maintenance program which is beneficial for my home's needs.
