I hired Tony to repair the stucco around a window I replaced. It was a small job, and sometimes contractors don't prioritize small jobs... not the case with Tony and his team. They treated my small job as if it was as important as plastering an entire house. Every team member I met was professional and courteous, and the job was completed on-time and on budget. I've waited a few months to write this review because I wanted to see how the work ""seasoned"" and whether there would be cracking or a need to get them to come back, and their work has held up beautifully.

My experience with Tony Toro has been very good. Whenever I've called him he's been very responsive. He has done electrical repairs for me at various rental properties. I also had a complicated repair on a property that he brought in a guy who works with him, who was very smart, and between the 3 of us we came up with a great solution and Tony's company did the work.

Hired him to stucco my fireplace. First time he sent two out they did a horrible job texturing. Missed spots all over the place. He sent them out again, and applied a layer over the first. Shortly after, had cracks all over. Supposed to come out a third time, but his staff didn't show up. Complete waste of time and money.

Every time my clients ask for a contractor for renovations, I tell them my top recommendation by far is Tony Toro Construction. Every client has reported construction was done on time, on budget, their expectations were managed, all work was done to perfection, and their customer service and care was beyond their expectations and what they experienced in the past. I have personally seen some of TTC finished renovations and down to the smallest detail, their work is great.

Tony Toro Stucco and Drywall did a fantastic job on my remodel. Not only were they on time and within budget, the work was spectacular. Having a background in Mechanical Engineering I thoroughly inspected the craftsmanship and found it above standard. I will definitely recommend to my associates.

I would never recommend Tony Toro Construction for these reasons. 1. Toro showed up once at the job and never interfaced with myself or my wife during the five months. 2. He promised in a verbal agreement that he would have workers on the job 40 hours a week until it was complete. The results were constant delays by inconsistent work that resulted in about a three week delay of his painting contract. 3. He asked and received payments in excess of state law: first payment $5,000: second of three payments $8,000 when no painting had been completed. 3. The contract agreed to final ""touch up"" at the end of all construction; I asked his lead painter when it would begin and he said it was complete. There were still two dozen places that needed ""touch up"" but weren't completed nor was construction finished when this so-called ""touch up"" was done in violation of our verbal and written agreement. Part of his work was to remove curtain rods for painting and replace them; they were replaced backwards but Toro refused to pay for the labor (ignoring a letter to him from our design consultant who had recommended him in the first place) to replace the rods ,which was his responsibility, because he claimed he did extra work of which I knew nothing. 4. I have been forced to hire others at my expense to replace the curtain rods and complete the numerous ""touch up"" painting Toro did not do. 5. Toro charged us twice for the same bill which was straightened out but illustrates lack of focus. I am glad others have good results from Mr. Toro, but we certainly did not.

I just can't say enough good things about Tony Toro Construction! Santa Barbara is a small town and I've lived here since '79. I met Tony when he first moved here years ago as he became a ""regular"" at my local Starbucks and over many daily chats over coffee knew him only to be a true friend and a standup guy so it wasn't hard to figure out who I should go to for a bid on a long dreamed of bathroom remodel. I also had Re-bath bid the project as several friends were happy with their work. Tony's project manager was courteous, came on time and asked all the right questions along with his tile guy so I knew they had a clear understanding of exactly what I was looking for in the remodel. Tony came back with a bid the next day which was highly appreciated and enough below Re-bath's bid to make our decision easy.
Now I did have one good challenge for Tony and his crew... I needed the work to start on a certain day and I needed the majority of the work done while my husband and daughter were out of town as our home is small with only one shower. He was able to meet both of those challenges keeping the inconvenience of not having a functioning shower to a happy minimum.
Tony checked in on the job often and his workers were all very courteous and came when they were scheduled to come keeping the job moving at a quick pace.
I did make one change to the job after it was bid and Tony was wonderful in accommodating that change keeping the increased cost to a reasonable amount that we could afford.
I did have a pretty clear picture of what I wanted in the bathroom remodel (having dreamed about it for many years) but not having ever done this before, there were a few areas where I needed the help of a professional in making some key decisions. Tony's team was able to give me great advice and worked well with me in working through the details of the areas where I wasn't sure what was possible. Together we were able to make everything I had envisioned happen!
All my friends who've come over to see my new bathroom say ""WOW - it's like a spa!!!""
Don't hesitate to hire Tony - we couldn't be happier and plan to use him again for our next project!!!

I feel incredibly fortunate to have come across this company. My home was originally built in the early 1900's, and added on to in the 1920's, so it has needed some major upgrades and an overall ""facelift"" to get her back to her original beauty while keeping up with modern needs. Tony Toro and his team are true craftsmen, attentive to detail, and stay true to budget and timeline agreements.
