I recently had Top Line remove and replace my existing furnace and A/C unit...and they did an amazing job of it. I live in a 3 flat in Chicago, with the A/C on the roof. My furnace was also in a relatively awkward location (about 8' above the floor in my wall, with an opening too small to take it out.

I had a few other companies come out to get quotes, and they all freaked out by the work that needed to be done (one company wouldn't even give me a quote, due to the weird location of my Furnace). When I contacted Top Line, the inspector not only said the area was no problem, but also told me that the final quoted price would not change no matter how much time they needed. That was a relief for me, because to remove the unit and replace it took about three times as long as originally anticipated ...through no fault of Top Line, they did an amazingly thorough and professional job of the whole thing.

The workers that came were very professional and nice, and fixed a heating & cooling problem I've had since purchasing my place. I would recommend this team to anyone that needs HVAC work done to their home, and I will definitely be calling them again for any work I need completed in the future.

The one issue I did have, however, was with the scheduling. There were a few times I needed to call and confirm a date that was incorrect in their system, but was easily resolved after my call. Just stay on top of the dates you have scheduled, and call a few days before to confirm. The work they did was so great, I can't justify putting a 4 star for the scheduling hiccups that happened. Thank you very much for the work done!!!

We called Topline to do an inspection of the 2 units we have in our house since we moved in about a year ago. We had some miscommunication problems at first but eventually had a technician named Scott come out to our house. He was super nice, very courteous and professional. After seeing that we had barely any heat coming out of the second unit, he thoroughly inspected a couple of things, ran some tests and knew the problem right away. He was nice enough to fix it that day and the difference in heat was dramatic. We could tell right away that he had fixed what was broken. We were very happy we had someone that could come out on one of the coldest days.

I've had a service contract for 4 years with them. They never contact me for bi-annual service. They are rarely proactive calling to say they can't make their appointment. I've had good technicians and rookies servicing my rooftop unit. I'd say there must be better companies out there. I think their front office is in dissarray.

I had a very bad experience with Topline after using them for several years. They came out and said I needed a lot of work done on my furnace and it would take half a day - costing $450. Well, it took 30 minutes and they still charged me $450. When we called to complain they wouldn't budge on the price. Plus, they told me my furnace needs to be replaced soon but when I had it inspected by an energy company, they claim it is good for a few more years. I won't be using them again!

My AC unit stopped working last June. I called Topline and they replaced the fan motor at a cost of $612. A few weeks later my high pressure reset starts tripping sporadically. It would run up to a few weeks between resets. This summer it has been doing it much more often so I called Topline back out. The tech came to inspect and found nothing wrong with it, hit the reset button, recommended to my wife that we just replace the entire unit. Then charged us $89 for the service call. I'm calling out another company for a second opinion.

I would like to help everyone here who is looking for a great heating and cooling company. I had a problem with my AC when the heat waves arrived earlier than expected this year in Chicago. I called Topline and explained the situation, that I have a 8 months old girl and how we are in need for the AC to run. The Technician promised me that he will be at my house in less than one hour, and actually he did and fixed the problem. I am not an expert when it comes to this kind of stuff but I love a company when it puts your comfort as a priority and above everything else. I highly recommend this company to whoever is looking for friendly and high tech staff.

I called Topline HVAC, Inc. to get an estimate on a boiler replacement after one of their techs said it needed to be replaced and they sent the most unprofessional people I have ever had the displeasure of meeting named Tony. All he did was try and sell me a water softener and more equipment for my house I think only works one day a month and tried to make his quota up on me. I felt like I was trying to get robbed by the mentally handicapped and jack the ripper this guy really made me feel uncomfortable. He kept making weird comments and would say one thing then when I asked questions he would say another it seemed like whatever it took to make the sale. I felt so uncomfortable I called another company and it turned the boiler just needed a new Pump that cost thousands less than the estimate I would demand my money back for the service call but that Tony really freaks me out I rather lose the money then have that company back.

During one of our chilly Chicago spring days, the boiler pipe in my building sprung a leak in two spots. After reaching out to several HVAC companies, Topline came in with the lowest quote. They replaced the 20 foot long boiler pipe in one day and offered FREE pipe insulation. Their technicians are very knowledgeable and care about doing the job right the first time.

These guys not only specialize in HVAC work, but also plumbing and electrical work! On a separate note, our catch basin clogged and as a result our boiler room became flooded with raw sewage. Topline came out at 7:30 pm to take care of the JOB! Not only did they clear out our catch basin, but they also rodded-out our main lines. Exceptional work at an amazing price!

Fabulous service - called them Saturday morning of Labor Day weekend. Of 3 companies I called - they a) answered, b) said they would call back within 5 minutes, c) they called back within 5 minutes and confirmed arrival time, d) Sam called 30 mins before arriving to check the time still worked, e) Sam arrived on time. So the set-up was great and then Sam arrived and was super professional. Identified the problem, explained in detail what was wrong and fixed it promptly. He explained other services they offer but was not selly and pushy. All in all I have nothing but praise for this company and would recommend them in a heartbeat.

103 heat index and central ac goes out.a call to top line with a service request at 10 am they explained they were busy and would be their as soon as possible, very understandable. They called numerous times to give me updates. Jim showed up at 8 pm and he was very courteous even though you can see it was a long day for him. He treated me and my ac great and got it running in 30 minuntes with no bs or upsales. I even talked to Sam the boss to tell him what a great job he did. Totally recommend them to a friend or family. Honest and courteous and very professional.
