Tope Sewer to the rescue!
We had a backup in the basement last weekend, so I called Tope on Monday morning. I said it wasn't an emergency, so they made us an appointment on Friday (today) at 8 AM.
Kyle was here promptly at eight, was here just about an hour, and was extremely professional, knowledgeable, courteous, clean - I can't say enough about how pleased we are!!
I would give more than five stars if I could.

Four years ago Tope fixed a small crack in one of our bathroom pipes underground prior to us purchasing our house. Two years later we had a backup with our main drain and asked Tope to come out and clear the line. That cleaning lasted two full years. Things have drastically changed at the company since then...

I do not recommend using this company. According to Kim (Office Manager) the Owner made a policy change to not warranty work without a camera ""a couple weeks ago"". We had our basement pipe snaked and two weeks later our pipe is already backing up again. When we called they said we would have to pay to have the pipe snaked again with no desire to work with us.

It would have been great if they would have offered to come out to our house to see if anything else was wrong before adding a charge.

There are many other companies that offer this work and are much easier to do business with. I HIGHLY recommend taking your business elsewhere.

We have been in our home for 10 years and have always had problems with our drain pipes going to the sewer under our home. We have tried numerous plumbing services and no one has been able to fix it until Tope plumbing came along. They were diligent, cost effective and customer service friendly. Trying to get an estimate for a sewer lateral has been very difficult.

Since June 2, I have called Tope Plumbing 6 times. I have emailed them several times and sent them a copy of the camera video for the sewer problem. Thankfully, there are other companies who have given me estimates. Two companies provided an estimate within one day.

We had a major blockage in our sewer lateral so we had to reroute our lateral and connect to MSD at a new spot. This was a very complicated job and Tope worked with MSD to find a new connection point. We had to lay approximately 100 ft of new sewer line and we were on a deadline for the closing of our house. Tope finished the job in four days and left everything above ground in good shape.
These guys really know what they are doing. They are professional, helpful, and honest. Wow, they got skills!
The office staff is also very buttoned up and keep you informed all the way.

We have been dealing with clogging for months & misdiagnoses. Tope came out & finally properly diagnosed a 100% blockage at the trap, scoped from source to house and to main. Dan was incredibly respectful, calm, communicative throughout, gently knocking on door to give updates & being respectful of distancing from me & my 1 year old during this pandemic. His co-worker Kyle deftly dug, & they made a good team. They both a kind attitude--honestly, not what I've experienced with other companies. Highly recommend!!

A lateral sewer line blockage was detected at my house, so my municipality brought in Tope to do the repair work after verifying the issue and that it was covered by municipal property insurance. Tope was beyond prompt at contacting me and getting in to do the work, which was multi-staged. All of their employees were both competent and helpful, willing to take time to explain each step of the process and ensure that it was done fully and well, with minimal mess along the way. After having to deal with other plumbing / drain companies while trying to identify the problem, I'm even more appreciative of Tope's knowledge and commitment to great work, all the way to using their own employees to come over a period of weeks to settle the soil over my new sewer cleanout access (in my yard) and install sod when it's done. Have already recommended them to others and told the city about their great work.

The technician was prompt, but not very customer service oriented. He found the problem and told me what not to do again. (Just like that.... ) He then left what he pulled out of the sewer drain in my front yard... 15 feet from the trash can. I called the office to ask if this was normal practice. I received a call back apologizing, but stating I would need to clean up the mess myself because the technician was too busy to return. WOW!!! Not only was this unsanitary, it was also very unprofessional.

We asked for a bid to repair our sewer line, and they sent an initial estimate that did not cover the requested scope of work. I told them this and that were not in contention, and they offered to come out and re-camera our line, which they performed and it went well. However, they never followed up with a bid after 3.5 weeks. I called and emailed several times to request the estimate, and there was no response. This is highly unprofessional and tells me Tope does not actually care about helping its customers resolve their concerns. Top is non-responsive and fails to respond professionally to a complaint or unsatisfied customers, and that's how they'll treat you too.
