I initially had a positive experience with Top Shelf when they installed my AC and furnace. However, I am updating my review because I hired Top Shelf to look at my furnace that was not working. When they came out they pretty much immediately discovered that someone had shut off my gas. They were at my house for a little under a half hour and charged me $250 to turn the gas lever on. When I asked for an explanation of cost they told me they actually lost money on the call because it took the technician 45 minutes to drive to my house due to snow. They also said they lost money on the call because it costs at least $300 to have someone drive to a house and walk in to provide a service regardless of how long they are there or what the issue is.

Obviously I had no way of knowing that it was going to snow when I made the appointment/my furnace stopped working or that the technician didn't live near me. I'm still not sure why that would be factored in to the price. I would have preferred to move the appointment if I had known I'd be charged more due to snowy travel times. I would have also like to know that it was going to cost hundreds of dollars regardless of the problem. I was very surprised because I had such a great experience with them before as far as pricing and explanation and felt taken advantage of this time. I value the work of electricians and technicians but $250 to turn on a gas lever in under a half hour seems very steep to me.

I scheduled an AC tune-up after receiving a $29 coupon in the mail. A date was quickly scheduled, and two very professional young men arrived. My AC system needed some repairs. These very nice and polite young men explained the problem, answered all of my questions, as well as returned in a few days, as promised, to fix the issue. Their level of professionalism, knowledge, and expertise in their trade was impressive. After informing me of the company's monthly member service, I am looking into signing up. Thank you, Top Shelf, for hiring excellent service professionals. Exceptional value and service.

So pleased with this company. Everyone there went above and beyond to provide us affordable options to replace our furnace in the middle of winter. Jesus and Larry stayed into the evening to ensure the install was complete and our home heated. They were professional, courteous, and kept us informed through the whole process. GREAT to work with. They were very reliable showing up on time, maybe sometimes early. Provided very good explanations of what they were going to do. Crew members were extremely polite, respectful of our home and cleaned up after themselves every day. The team worked well together and provided us with daily updates. We installed an upstairs air conditioning system which appears so far (it is Fall so hard to tell) works well. Very good value, excellent service. Kudos to the team of Gerado Lopez, Dillon Profit and electricians Jason Bunch and Johan Miranda.

DO NOT USE THEM. THEY ARE GOING TO SCAM YOU!
By far the WORST service I have ever had. Gerardo thawed out my pipes that were frozen and left a mess everywhere! Dust and dirt from the furnace completely covered my whole loft. He didn't even tell me he made the mess. My toddler discovered it and rolled around in it. He told me I needed to spend $11,000 to get a new furnace and ac. He would not leave my house until I made an appt for him to come replace it. Very pushy!! I had to tell him I wanted a second opinion multiple times until he finally left. (Another HVAC professional came over that evening. All I needed was more refrigerant, that's why my pipes froze. Did not need to be replaced at all like Gerardo said it needed to be)

I called to complain to a supervisor and Dawn said he was not in. I've spoken to Dawn three times now trying to speak to a supervisor and the last time she hung up on me :) I'm sure she's not even letting the supervisor know I called.

Hopefully a supervisor sees this and actually calls me back!!

I got 3 estimates for my project and Top Shelf beat them. The others were 2 weeks out, but these guys started the next day. The crew was amazing, and there were 4 people working on 4 different things. A panel upgrade, furnace and a/c. I recommend Top Shelf for all your electrical needs. They even fixed my ceiling fan while here. Professionals on every level.

We have found it somewhat difficult to get electricians who are reliable and willing to work within a reasonable time period for our household needs. Problem solved! Top Shelf shocked me by saying they would have a person at our home within a few hours of my call to them. Not only did Darrell show up on time that very day, but he was able to promptly and expertly fix our electrical issues. Kudos!

I called top shelf as I needed a couple of light fixtures installed. I also needed new sockets and face plates. A very polite guy names Seneca came ou to do the job. I was very pleased with his work. A little higher priced than I was used to paying, but the work got done well. I called for another service call and found out that he no longer worked there, I would have used them again this week for some more work, but they were too busy. I would still recommend them. Thanks.
