GHOSTED!! Buyer beware!!
I hired Top Notch Waterproofing initially to install a second sump pump in my basement. At that time, I gave Mark, the owner, $700 to start the project. When he came out to do the work, we realized that the water table around the house had risen to the extent that I would also need French drains. We also looked at the existing sump pump and knew that it needed to be replaced as well. I gave Mark and additional check for $900 as a deposit for the new work that needed to be done. After, drilling a large hole in my basement floor for the new sump pump, and receiving the $900 check, Mark and his co-worker left my house and I haven't seen or heard from him since despite calling, texting and emailing him. That was 16 days ago in counting. There are buckets and buckets of cement debris piled up in my basement along with a gaping hole with standing water in it.
Now the rains are coming today, and I have a barely sufficient sump pump and am out $1600 - all for trusting someone I never should have. I'm exceedingly disappointed about all of this but more so, saddened that people can be so dishonest.
