Tobin E.This is the 3rd time I have used them. Twice on warranty issues. This time personal pay for a bathroom faucet. All times arrived as promised. This time technician assured me everything was working correctly and did not charge me a thing. Just asked to remember them for future business.
I was so greatful when they came as I was in a panic. The tech looked at my ceiling and said it was not a bathroom problem, but pipes in the attic. He said he was going to cut a hole in my ceiling to assess the situation. As he was cutting he said they would send someone to fix it. After determining that it was not the pipes, but a cracked toilet. I was told they would have to get authorization from my warranty company. I told him no worries as I was looking at my contract and it covered toilets. He then contacted my warranty company and told them it had been broken, not wear and tear. The toilet is probably 20 years old and we hardly use that bathroom. When I called the office, they told me they could fix it and I could just pay out of pocket. Now I have no working toilet upstairs and a hole in my bedroom ceiling up to through the attic. It could have been simple- wear and tear. If we had broken it, wouldn't there be pieces or water on the floor? They could have made money and I could have had my issue resolved, but not today I guess.
I called for a leaking garbage disposal and he told the home warranty company that it was been misused because he found a bottle cap in there. He could have help me with the leaking problem if wanted to. But no he made a negative statement to denied my claim.
I had 2 problems that required plumbing services. A leaky toilet and a slow draining sink. Armando did the work on both and would not call the job complete until he could verify that the problem was resolved. He even followed up with a call to make sure that the problem was resolved. If I have another plumbing problem, Top Notch is who I'm calling. I'm recommending them to all my family and friends.
Plumber came to my house listened to our problem(backed up kitchen sink). Stated he needed to blow the pipes out but did not have the equipment with him. Never offered to try to clear with cable nor did he even look at the clean out in the kitchen. Never showed up next day.
This company was sent out to my home by my home warranty company (American Home Shield) to replace my hot water heater. I was told by the company I would have to pay $150.00 for a gas line, $150.00 for a T & P , $150.00 for In and Out lines, $150.00 for a drip pan and $50.00 for a vent diverter. I paid the company, and later found they did not replace the gas line. I have called the company several times and they have not taken any of my call or returned any of my calls. I contacted the warranty company and they reached out to the company and was told someone would call me and that has not happened. This is company is deceitful and has poor customer services.
Had a noise in my pipes every time I turned on my faucet or flushed the toilet. Technician came spent 1 minute to say that pipes needs to be tightened but need a general contractor. He took my service fee and left. Called John Moore plumbing and the plumber came in 45 minutes and was able to fix a valve in my shower that only took one hour and the noise stopped. Same top notch I used in the past that told me a leak in kitchen sink was from a bad faucet. Another plumber came and fixed a tubing instead of the pipe. I know its my fault for using them a second time and I will count my loss, but the warranty company assigned them. If I could give zero stars I would.

Top Notch Plumbing, Is NOT no Top Notch anything!. First off, he was 3 hours getting there. We had an open window from 1-3. He didn't get there til 6pm.
My Home Warranty sent this company out to fix a leaky faucet, but it turned out the technician broke the faucet before it could be fixed. He was having a hard time getting it off, so he jumped on top of my countertop, stood up on it( where I prepare all my food) and his phone rings! He stayed on that phone while he was struggling to get the faucet apart for almost 15 minutes, (which sounded like he was trying to talk his girl friend down from something!) I didn't say a word because I wanted to see how this was going to play out. Finally, he got off the phone and reached to get another tool and started twisting it around when something popped. He said, "the rubber broke". He then told me it would take 3 weeks to get the part in. I immediately said, I did not want to wait 3 weeks with no water in my kitchen. So, I did ask if he and I could go buy another one right away to put it on. He said yes but, would I allow him to go to his next service call, and come back afterwards? He did offer to pay for it but stupid me refused because I didn't know the true circumstances at that time. So,I agreed to him going to his next job and come back right afterwards!( stupid me again) I wanted him to go with me because I am not a plumber and I didn't know what to buy. So, he told me to get the same brand I had ,Moler. Well, Home depot had the brand but not the same type of faucet, so I bought one that looked just like it! Again, I am not a plumber so I bought this blindly. After (2 days ) later he came back ( I wasn't home) and put the faucet I bought on. My son said, he admitted to him that he accidentally broke that rubber. Had I known that, I would have taken the money. He hadn't offered enough anyway because my brand was $40 more! Well, today my faucet is running but my sprayer isn't! For over a week he(Luis) was suppose to have been back to make my sprayer work. He said because it wasn't the same brand, same exact faucet, he couldn't make it work, then he said he think he might get it to work.
Today, I called Top Notch to explain to the person who called himself NICK, THE OWNER! He called me a lier, and started screaming at me, being very verbally aggressive, disrespectful, with no Customer Service professionalism about himself at all, and slammed the phone in my face!
I would not recommend this company at all!!!! No professionalism, no punctuality, the Quality of Service is HORRIBLE!
It's a real shame about this one star review because the work and install was done well and I only have good things to say about Armando. He did a terrific job and was pleasant to work with. However their secretary or admin named Stela is a horrible person. She called me while I was driving and I asked a few clarifying questions regarding my charges and she began acting outrageous and yelling that she had already told me about all the charges. Let's be clear, they charged me an amount but couldn't tell me what it was or provide me with an itemization. I just wanted to know what the charges were!! It's a shame for this company is that I have multiple properties and a decent size network and I will never use them again and instruct eeveryone to avooid this company..All because of her. I will keep Armando's number and use him when he is smart enough to leave this simply HORRIBLE company. Be smart Houston-- stay away!
Nick recently performed two jobs at my house. Quick and painless - in and out. He was working with my home warranty company ... and they declined to pay one of the claims. I offered to pay him myself, and he said "don't worry about it". So I'm spreading the word ... there aren't a lot of businesses that would do that. Highly recommended!
