Do not use this company! I was assigned to this company by American Home Shield. I scheduled the appointment and no one showed up, which was on a Saturday. Of course when I called, they were closed so I had to wait until Monday. After calling, the woman that I spoke with was extremely rude. She told me that the technician came to my home but no one answered. I was home all day so I knew that wasn't true. She went on to tell me that she spoke with me on that day, which was also not true. I think I would know if I spoke to someone. She stated that there would be a $35 fee since I missed the appointment and they had proof that they came out because the tech took a picture of my house. I asked them to send me the picture and she told me that I should know what my house looks like. As she was describing the picture, I knew that it wasn't my house. I called my warranty company and explained what happened so they called the company to have them send me the picture and to let them know that I didn't want to use them. After receiving the picture that the tech took of the house, it was not my home at all. What was also bothersome to me is that, the house number in the picture was not mines??? So, not only was the woman rude, the techs can't read!

This company --and American Home Warranty by extension are rip-off companies that should be avoided at all costs. My experience parallels that of all of the other reviews. We had a water heater --note the past tense. The pilot light went out and couldn't be restarted. the technician called ""Rob"" came out. He was rude and demanded extra money to replace a minor part. The pilot light went out again one day after he left and after complaining to the company and to AHS he came out again--this time he took a piece from the water heater and said he'd be right back---that was Monday. The repair was not made but the report on my AHS dashboard claimed that the repair done. Top notch then claimed on the phone that AHS had denied the claim---another lie. Then they said that the heater had ""not normal wear and tear"", yet another lie.
I've wasted hours on this. Still no hot water!

Like many other reviewers, Top Notch was sent out by American Home Shield (warranty company) to fix my kitchen sink which had a back up. I had a relative stay home to wait for the gentleman named Rob. He apparently snaked the drain to unclog the sink, looked under it, and then told my relative he would have to return to completely fix it because he didn't have some part, but that it would cost an additional $250 outside of what I paid to AHS already. AHS called me to inform me of this additional cost so I then called Top Notch directly. The woman who answered was rude and short with me and told me that AHS should have explained the extra charge to me. I then told her it wasn't clear and I wanted to know from the plumber himself to which she replied she would find out and call back. She never called back nor did Rob ever return. I hope he didn't think I was just going to hand over $250 willy nilly. The sink was still clogged forcing me to contact another plumber. That plumber was way more informative and descriptive of the issue. He also made sure that the sink was clear before leaving. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. Better off finding some place else!

This company gets Zero Stars!!! Got this Company through American Home Shield. The name sounded like they would be a reliable Company, but it was the complete opposite. Setting up the appointment was a nightmare and from the beginning and the woman (Haley I think) doing ""Customer Service"" was nasty and had an attitude. The appointment was finally set. The property was vacant, so I left several messages days before the appointment with the company so that the plumber could call me or the Property Manager to get the lockbox code ahead of time, but, I never got a call back. I called again the day before, left messages (again) and I didn't get a call back. I got a text and an email message the day of the appointment saying the technician was on his way to the property. I replied to both providing my cell # . I get another text saying saying the technician arrived, I called the customer number and the nasty lady answer the phone and told me that the technician was at a job and I would need to re-shedule. I told her had been calling several times trying to get the lockbox code information to them and explain plumbing issue. She said I had to go through her and I could not talk to the technician directly. Really??? What type of customer service is that? If I was home I would be talking to the technician anyway. But being out of state makes this a little difficult. I told her, I expected better customer service and that I had been waiting for this appointment for a week and that I had a tenant moving in the next day. I explained that I got the message that the Technician was there 5 minutes before, and he could not have gone far. She said he could not go back, and that I would have to reschedule for another day. I told her she was being rude, and didn't not have any idea of the concept of customer service and she went off and hanged up.

If this is the owner on the other side on the phone, this is a horrible Company. But it this customer service woman is just an employee she needs a to find a job where she doesn't have to deal with people. She hates her job, and it clearly shows from the moment you start talking to them.

I called American Home Shield and told them what happen and that they need to stop doing business with this company.

Looking at other peoples reviews, I see a lot of unhappy customers....this company's rating is Zero.

If I could give ZERO stars I would. I used this company through my home warranty company American Home Shield. My appointment was to repair the guest and master bath toilets. The tech arrives and is not friendly at all, he fixes the toilets and leaves. The next day, I noticed the master bath toilet started running again. I call AHS, to report that they need to come back out. I'm back in touch with Top Notch, this is where my frustration begins. No one answers the phones, you leave a voicemail, no call back. They email you with an open window, I emailed back to say I accepted no response. I call again, leave another voicemail, no response. This went on for a 3 days. I finally get an email, telling me that email is a great way of communication but calling the office would be better!! YOU HAVE GOT TO ME F'N KIDDING ME. I emailed back and said I have called the office numerous times with no response. I immediately get a call from Hailey, I address my frustrations with her and tell her the customer service is terrible. She has the nerve to get nasty with me, saying you can call AHS to get another vendor if you are not satisfied. No apology for horrible service, all I got was attitude. I am beyond pissed at how unprofessional this company is and they have not regard for customers. I just don't understand how they are still in business. BEWARE!!!!

I will have to also not recommend this company. A dispatch request was put in, and one follow up was made. When a request was made to expedite the call due to the nature the person was abrupt in saying they are booked, call someone else. No courtesy call to state such and had I not followed up I may have been with a plumbing issue until Monday. the initial service request was placed on a Thursday night after hours. While there are other variables here it is also worth noting that they have stopped answering their phone as of this morning assuming they cannot accept anymore work, but that is not good customer service, and it should be addressed. No call backs or follow ups after being expedited by a supervisor supposedly this morning via the service we used to make the initial contact? It is now 15:30 and they close at 16:00. Based on others reviews I am actually glad they have not responded.

This plumbing company by far exceeded my expectations nowadays it seems people only like to review the bad things. Rob and Trevor really put my mind at ease and I will use them again for any problems in the future!

Top Notch was sent to my home by AHS to inspect a leaky hot water heater on February 5. They came to inspect on Feb 6, no problem but it goes downhill from there. First, they were unwilling to pick the new hot water heater up to eliminate the long wait time during winter temperatures. Secondly, they charged me $500 additional for a tank they say is now required to be installed and inspected. A friend in the same county was sent a different plumber by AHS and she was not advised of a new requirement or any of the above. They also wanted additional $94 to haul away the old tank, which she did not have to pay either. Furthermore, they will not send me an itemized receipt for the work they performed for my $500 despite repeated requests.

Poor overall customer service! I got them through me home warranty company. Not only were they late for the initial assessment but when they gave me a revised time they came 45 minutes early. But worst of all was the women who called to set up the follow up appointment. She was rude, argumentative, unprofessional, and hung up the phone on me.

The conversation when like this:
Me:I need to know how much you charge to come and give us an estimate.
Top Notch: We don't give estimates on the phone we need to come out.
Me: That's what I said I need to know what you charge to come out and give an estimate.
Top Notch: We don't have anything available today.
Me: Not asking you to come out today. I'm asking how much you charge to come out.
Top Notch: It's fee to come out.
Me: That's all I'm asking because some people charge to come out.
Top Notch: We are all booked up, thank you very much...hangs up.

I call back to complain...she calls my boss and threatens to bad mount us on the internet.
I'm the CUSTOMER. How is she going to bad mouth us if we have never done any work for them unless she lies!!!
