My water heater failed and was leaking water. I called Top Notch. They quoted the price over the phone and had it replaced the very next working day. Very responsive and professional. The estimated time was right on and the service man called when he was on his way. Highly recommended!

Dealing with Top Notch is so convenient. Not only does the owner take calls and emails and respond quickly but his staff make every effort to answer a question or respond with a resource. I am amazed that every detail of doing the job right is approached honestly by his plumbers, apprentices, hvac and electrical people. I am so glad we used local people who work well together with inspectors and other contractors. I am so confident that we will be confident of the work for many years to come

The worker came to fix washer he said cost 65 dollars which I paid him cash, then the company sent a bill on top for the same oney, saying they never were paid, when I complained I was put me on a black list as worker was a local and I was from out of town. Corrupt little town

We had a sewer smell in our master bathroom, called Top Notch to come out to fix the problem, couldn't find the problem the first time or the next two times that the same guy came out from Top Notch, but it's hard to fix the problem when all you do is run the water & look at the P-traps every time you come out & don't explore other issues!! So three visits for $85 a visit sending the same guy & still can't fix the problem barely acted like he cared!! So the fourth time I called Five Star Plumbing to get a different perspective, two guys come out ask way more questions than the indifferent Top Notch guy isolate the problem in 20 minutes & bam the problem is fixed! What a difference in the attitude between the two companies! The five star guys actually acted like they cared had a lot more motivation to fix our problem where the Top Notch guy was very indifferent & I'm I might say boarding on lazy!!!
How frustrating that we spent $255 with Top Notch & got nothing fixed & spent $70 with five star & they had it fixed in 20 min! Called the secretary at Top Notch to complain & she kept interrupting me I requested that I did not want to pay for the last visit since the problem was not fixed & she said either they will go to a collecting agency or put a lien on our house if all three invoices don't get paid! Really ""great"" customer service from Top Notch NOT!! So if you want to save yourself a lot of money & headache go with Five Star Plumbing in Galena instead of Top Notch!!!
