Happy new year 2023. I called this place for service, the first thing I get is a 400$ minimum charge because of the holidays. I know I don't have water running in my house. I wish they charge less than the minimum. Thanks

I saw on Yelp that they did free estimates. I made sure to ask the gal if that also included the diagnostic (bc some places charge for that). She assured me that it would be free for the tech to tell us what was wrong, hence the free estimate.

Ariel said if we chose to go forward with the work, it would be a minimum of $135. However, if we chose to NOT move forward, then the estimate would still be free and we walk away paying nothing.

My husband and I hadn't gone out to see the property ourselves due to time, so my husband would be meeting the technician there. Our plan was for my husband to show up before the given time-window of arrival to see if he could fix the issue himself. However, Fernando showed up an hour earlier than the given time window so my husband didn't have a chance to check out the issue.

Fernando said he thought the pilot was turned ""off"". He turned it ""on"" with a pair of pliers. That did the trick.
Then charged us $155 for just turning it on. -_-
How ridiculous is that?

Where was the estimate?
I can see charging for any work which involved digging, crawling, or disassembly. But turning on the pilot for $155???

The appropriate thing would've been for Fernando to tell my husband,
"" I think the issue is the pilot is turned off. You can turn it on. Or if I do, it's going to be $155. Your choice"".
(still ridiculous)
I know my husband would have done it himself, if given the option.

But no, Fernando failed to provide an estimate in writing and just went ahead and did it and then on top of that, felt so comfortable charging us $155. He probably felt proud of himself.

I called the office to talk about it and Ariel said that's what the fee was. I said all he did was turn it on. I said also, I was told the minimum was 135, why were we charged 155 for just turning on the pilot?
She insisted that's what the fee was. She asked if we were given an estimate, and I said, no.

She called me back and said she spoke with Fernando and confirmed we were not given an estimate. She said she could refund me the $20 difference if it was such a big deal.
I wasn't pleased with that and thought this was dishonest behavior on Fernando's part so I asked for a full refund of the $155. They did refund me in the end. Just make sure you are given an estimate ahead of time.

Had a leak under our kitchen sink. When I checked it out to find where the leak was coming from, my finger went right through the pipe. We have an older home and the pipe had rusted through. At that point, all I could see were dollar signs for what it was going to cost.

Tony's got someone out the next day. They ended up having to replace all the pipes under the sink. All told, it took about two and a half hours, but the pipes got fixed at a very reasonable cost. They got us back up and running in no time without the sticker shock I was expecting. Very honest and very good service. Nobody wants to deal with plumbing problems, but they happen. It's nice knowing there's an honest company with excellent workers the next time I need someone. Thanks guys!
