What a Liar. Tony was hired to do work in new bathroom. He never did the work. some other guy was there. left behind empty bottles of alcohol. He was unlicensed plumber working under Gideika's license?!!
Also he gave no written estimate. He only said it would be cheaper than the going rate. so i believed him.
Gideika plumbing ended up costing $500 more than the highest of the 3 estimates.
don't trust him. He said it would take 4 days took him 2 1/2 but still charged for 4 days. Each day worked less than 5 hours but charged for 8.....come on Tony...that's not nice...
I found Tony Gideika Plumbing and Heating on Home Advisor. After reading the reviews I decided to give this company a try. In speaking with the owner, Tony and explaining what needed to be done, I set up a date and time a week in advance. The day of the appointment, I received two separate phone calls from two different workers at the company within a 30 minute window of each other (which I thought was a red flag). I had to repeat myself both times as neither of the individuals I spoke with had any idea that an appointment was set up for that day. As I had to leave work early and waiting at my house, I received a call 15 minutes PAST THE TIME THE APPOINTMENT WAS SCHEDULED to only be notified that the worker had to cancel due to an emergency. Due to the circumstances, we decided to give this company ANOTHER chance and a date and time was set for a few days later that week. After speaking with Tony himself, he said HE would be here between an hour span, but guess what.... you got it, HE THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY was a no show once again!!!!. When the hour passed we called and he had absolutely NO idea what we needed work on, which was BEYOND ENRAGING after explaining to him and his workers several times prior. I DO NOT AND WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO MY WORST ENEMY unless you have time to waste and you don't mind being stood up... ""first time mistake, second time habit.""
They were professional and completed the job as contracted. I recommend them 100%. And I plan to use them in the future.
Paul C.My experience was very positive and they did the job well, in a reasonable amount of time and the furnace has not had a problem since. They were here to do a repair that had been done by another company that had failed in a short time.
I will use them again and recommend them
Cheryl S.Tony was here very fast and when it is a bathroom emergency that is greatly appreciated.
I would recommend and use tony all the time!!!
Katrina A.DO NOT USE THEM!!!
We recently went to Home Advisor looking for a reputable plumber in my area. Home Advisor suggested Tony Gideika Plumbing & Heating. He called and made an appointment for him to come out to fix 2 issues in my bathroom. He's guy came out, was late, took a 5hr job and turned it into a 7hr job and apparently left my sump pump unplugged. I came home yesterday after a full week of rain to 3 inches of a flooded basement. We called Tony and he has been finding every way to blame everyone in my house for unplugging the pump, hasn't made any attempts to see the damage, fix it or resolve anything. I decided to do research on the company and see not only does he have 1.5 stars on Google but also has a D rating on the BBB. Shitty People and shitty company!
Great guy came in and installed the new faucet for my sink quickly.
Used this company twice. Both emergency calls with broken pumps and flooding basement. They came out quickly and worked diligently until the problem was resolved. Price was reasonable given the emergency nature of the call. Would recommend.
Ange E.Consumers should be warned about Tony Gideika. Stay away! I had a dripping kitchen pipe, and was told it was about a 2 hour job and would cost $350. He sent me an incompetent plumber who spent 9 hours in my home and seemed to have no clue what he was doing. While he was working, he broke a window in my basement, broke the drainpipe on the back of my washer, couldn't seem to finish the job and left my basement in a filthy mess. I paid $450 just to get him out of my house by 10PM (then had to pay another $450 the next day to have a proper plumber undo what he had started.) The Gideika ""plumber"" spent about 6 hours allegedly cleaning out my drains as he said it was necessary and that I would need to have a camera put down the drain as the pipe was probably broken. He seemed incapable of replacing the pipe under the sink, and I asked him many times throughout the day how much longer and he kept saying ""20 mins"" or ""an hour"" while little progress was evident. (He then told me it was my fault for disturbing him all the time asking him how much longer!) I was getting desperate and eventually asked him to leave at 9:30PM (even though my sink was not yet connected) and then he went to his van for a while and came back and presented me with a bill for $1200. Meanwhile his boss was making unpleasant phone calls saying he would ""see me in court"". The nice plumber I called the next day did the repair job in 2.5 hours - which included spending some time undoing what the previous guy had done wrong, which included ""mending"" the washing machine pipe and soldering a PVC pipe to a cast iron pipe instead of using a clamp.
Based on other reviews, I think this company's tactic is to have their employees spend HOURS messing about and then charge the customer $100 per hour for the work. (The young ""plumber"" he is using said he had been awake for 4 days and nights straight working on jobs so it is clear that he is being taken for a ride also and exploited.)
I don't know why Yelp has hidden other reviews which are similar - they should all be visible.
Used HomeAdvisor and somehow they sent me to Tony Gideika Plumbing and Heating. The only good thing I can say is that they were available next day. We had an issue with the kitchen faucet had no water pressure. They came and cleared the line but said that the faucet needed to be replaced. This took over 4 hours and cost close to $800. If you want to be overcharged go to them otherwise find someone else.
