Be careful when using Tony Capra Plumbing and heating... if they show up at your door and do no work, they will charge you $205!

On their web site they have a section that is titled ""Fair Pricing at Tony Capra Plumbing and Heating"" they go on to say ""We are a trustworthy business and only charge for products and services provided"". ""That is why we have chosen to stand by our traditional method while other companies have changed to upfront pricing"".

Clearly $205 to show up is an up from charge... One that they do NOT explain to you when you schedule an appointment.

I called to discuss my invoice and they basically said we don't care what you think...we don't care that this charge was not explained to you...our prices are the best in the Denver area (so not true)

Feels like they pulled a fast one on me, and I would highly recommend you get an estimate on the phone before they arrive or it will cost you $205 before they do any work.

When I called to discuss this I spoke with Carlo, he had no desire to discuss this with me and said that's they way we do it... I am sorry no one explained that to you up front.

I told Carlo I would pay their bill, but never use them again. He did not care at all, made it seem like I did something wrong. Great job Carlo, I appreciate your complete lack of care and your willingness to lose a customer.

Unless you want to be overcharged...
Stay away from Tony Capra Plumbing and Heating.

I guess I have to give them mixed reviews. I hired them to come out an put a water regulator valve in. They were more expensive than some other companies but my realtor recommended them. That work was done, no complaints at all, though not cheap. On the second part I was disappointed. I wanted to get an estimate on running a gas line. The guy who came took measurements and said he would have someone call me with a price. Over multiple months I called and left messages, never to get a response.

Showed up fast, had the part in the truck, explained what he was doing, fixed the problem, charged one-third of what a competitor wanted and didn't try to upsell. It's official: these guys go in my address book and I'm calling them first next time.
