Tony was great, very thorough in explaining the process of replacing my hot water heater, prompt and finished the job fast. He even made recommendations to potentially save me money. I was a little concerned when he wanted payment upfront, but he explained that he has had difficulty in the past collecting payment from home owners who are coordinating services and payments via long distance, which I totally respect. He was willing to work with me to come to a payment arrangement that worked for both of us. During the replacement, he realized some adjustments would need to be made in order to bring our situation up to code and allow the new tank to fit. Surprisingly, the final bill, even with these changes, still came in within the original price range that he quoted me when I first contacted him. Communication was great and he even sent pictures throughout the process. He was very professional, accommodating, and left me feeling confident that I could contact him again for any future plumbing needs! Def recommend using Tony and Son Plumbing!

I'm completely upset at this plumber! I can't believe that this company is rated 5 stars. We hired him a few days ago to fix our problem. Problem number one: We had a leak in our main water line. There was no digging required because we had already done so but we still got charged for ""digging"", parts and labor. Problem number two: they left the entire work area dirty, they didn't pick up after themselves. I had to go and clean up a blanket and all the material they cut and did not use. At least clean up after yourselves!!! Third and biggest problem: due to this plumber's carelessness, now our entire house's main water line has dirt inside the pipes and all of our toilets and cold water lines are clogged with dirt. That's just wrong!!! We called and complained immediately after figuring out what the problem was with our water. We opened one of the faucets and a whole bunch of dirt poured out! Now our entire drinking water supply is ruined thanks to this company. They want to charge us $100 again to come back and fix the ""problem"". Their excuse: it happens every time they do it!

Totally unacceptable!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLUMBER.

And now according to the owner, it's my fault that I have dirt inside my water pipes. Take some responsibility and fix it, it will go a long way.

Short:
-Used better parts than previous plumbers
-Was very fast
-1 year warranty
-Didn't leave the old parts laying around
-Was very polite
-Charged above market price

There was a running water sound coming from the toilet at my work (a residence). This is a toilet that I've called plumbers about before, had them come out and replace everything inside and it's fixed again for a year or so. I replaced everything myself one year but it was a pain. I called around this time, most of the plumbers I contacted didn't even have a voicemail box set up for me to know for sure I was contacting the right people. Tony was the first one that I actually got a hold of and he sounded very polite. I was able to get an appointment for the next day, he called ahead of time, he remembered my request to knock and not ring the doorbell. He figured out the issue, explained it, quoted me a price, replaced all the parts, showed me it was working and got me an invoice in about 45-50 minutes. Definitely record time. He used higher quality parts than previous plumbers. I want to be clear that he quoted me the price ahead of time and charged exactly what he said he would. I went with the price because I really don't like to complain or haggle and having a second person come in the house for a second opinion isn't an option with my patient having a compromised immune system (more people=more germs). I also typically assume that if a person sees my patient and still overcharges, then that's a non-negotiable price. The high price also can't be explained away by the cost of higher quality parts, because those parts in total cost only $25 on Amazon and he charged $215. That's $190 in labor if you're assuming that there's no contractor's discount on parts. If you're looking for quality service this is definitely a good place to call, but if you're on a budget perhaps try somewhere else.

I rarely write a review but this time I felt is was necessary. I called Tony on a Friday because a leak had developed in the crawl space of my house. It was about 4:30 so I knew I had to get some help before the weekend. I assume it was Tony that I spoke with and he told me he was tired and he was not going to do any more repairs this week and to call him and set up a time for Monday. I had already shut down the water for the house. I crawled under the house and found the leak and realized that I had better call him back and get on the list for Monday which I did. We had new plastic placed on the floor space about 8 months prior so the crawl space was clean but there were some areas of standing water from the leak. Some of these areas were 2-3 inches deep making it impossible to repair a pipe without having to get wet. Realizing I was not going to get Tony out there until Monday, I bought some tubing and hose clamps and crawled under to make a temporary repair on the leak. After doing this, I realized that there was another very small leak about 8 feet away from the first but in a much more accessible area and could probably be fixed while kneeling down. I did not attempt to fix the second leak but shut the water off for the weekend to await Tony's arrival on Monday. Tony did come to the house on Monday, gave my wife an estimation and then proceeded to crawl under the house and fix the leaks. He certainly had to get wet from the areas of standing water. After one hour of work, repeat, one hour of work , he presented a bill to my wife for 675.00. He said he was giving her a break as his original estimation was 725.00. He did have an assistant and he did use maybe $25 in tubing, attachments, etc and he did have to navigate 2-3 inches of water in certain areas and he did give my wife an estimation before the job was started. He also made 675. 00 for a hour of work. The fee, to me is beyond outrageous.
It is true that my wife accepted the estimation but she would have accepted about anything he said to get some running water. I called Tony to try to discuss this outrageous bill and he became very irate and hung up. My advise to anyone looking for a plumber who does not command 600/hr for his services, avoid this guy at all cost.

Tony was excellent. I have a rental property in Virginia Beach that is becoming a real pain in my backside. I was contacted by the Virginia beach water company and told that 60,000 gallons has gone through my property in a very short amount of time. I contacted Tony and he was able to get out to my property within 24 hours and identify the leak and fix the issue. I think his prices were very reasonable and he was a very personable and knowledgeable fellow. I would hire Tony again before I would call anybody else. Thank you Tony for taking some stress off of my shoulders.

I didn't get any work performed from Tony but this review is more of what a quality guy Tony is. I had an issue yesterday with a leaking valve and called around for a plumber. I must have called 8 plumbing companies but no one was available for a same day appointment partially due to it being spring break. I finally corrected the issue myself after a few headaches BUT Tony was the ONLY plumber to call back the next morning to see if I still needed assistance.

When I spoke to him initially he was friendly and politely declined. The next day he explained that he was tied up with other responsibilities. Understandable. Everyone has another life besides work. Didn't fault him for that.

Just wanted to show that Tony is committed to his current and future customers and I will definitely keep him in mind for any future business.

Tony is SUPER professional and he has a no nonsense approach to helping you out. Being a home owner your constantly faced with the probability you will pick the wrong person for the job. Let me assure you, this is not the case with him. He had my issues fixed in 20 minutes and put in extra parts to assure the problem wouldn't happen again for years to come. If any one of my friends asks about a good plumber, Tony is at the top of my list!
