Tom's Plumbing did a small job for us- we had a leaky faucet in the shower but it's been bugging us for months. It was causing the bathroom to be dirty much quicker than it should've been. I finally decided to check Yelp for some help and Tom's was the best place for the job. SUPER responsive- I mean, I had several responses within minutes. And not just cookie cutter template answers- these were actual people explaining in detail what needed to be done. Justin ended up being the one to come fix the issue within a day of me opening the project. He was in and out within half an hour. He was great about explaining what he was doing for us (just b/c I was curious on how to fix it myself) and shared his knowledge. Really courteous and although I hope I don't have to, I would hire them again in a flash. Thanks for everything Justin!

Our water heater broke and they responded quickly and very straight to the point. We sent them pictures and they could immediately identify what the issue was and quoted accordingly. They also managed to come very quickly and replaced my heater in no time. Justin was very professional and polite. They really do work around the clock and do emergency repairs 24 hours if needed. Highly recommended!

Contacted them to replace a tub spout. Very responsive and wanted pics of the existing spout and the new one that I got. Even after I realize that the new spout I got might not be the right one, no problem. I got a few options by the time Justin (Tom's son) arrive. Very quick and clean. Made sure he didn't leave a mess. Told me exactly what he was going to do and within no time, he was done.
He even took care of changing the shower head and advised us that if we wanted more pressure, there was this piece to yank out.

Our water boiler leaked overnight. Found Tom's on Yelp and reached out. They were responsive, courteous, and professional. Justin came that afternoon to replace our boiler with a brand new one and hauled the old one away. Would highly recommend.

BLUF: Knowledgeable, straightforward, efficient, courteous, expensive.

A part in our boiler system was starting to go bad, occasionally making sharp noises and leaking lubricating oil. We used Yelp's Projects feature to look for contractors to help us resolve this situation. I added a picture of the part making unusual noises to my Yelp project request to provide some detail about the situation.

Tom's Plumbing & Heating Services responded first. From my photo, Justin identified my malfunctioning part as the circulator pump, and after a few questions confirming that nothing else was wrong, Justin recommended that the circulator pump be replaced. He provided two options for circulator pumps, along with web links and total costs for each option, and a web link to my existing circulator pump for reference. I selected a pump with horsepower equivalent to my existing pump. The cost of all parts that Justin referenced were roughly equivalent on Amazon.com.

Other vendors requested a complete picture of the boiler system, or had initial consultation fees.

The service visit totaled roughly 90 minutes. In that time, Justin:
- Replaced the boiler drain valve because it hasn't been used in many years and no longer worked
- Drained my boiler
- Installed the new circulator pump
- Bled (i.e., removed air from) most of my radiators. Justin emphasized the importance of bleeding the radiators, as air in the system reduces the boiler's efficiency.
- Demonstrated how to override the water pressure regulator in case of insufficient system pressure.
- Pointed out other potential points of failure to monitor in the boiler system -- the water pressure regulator and expansion tank.

Overall, we were very happy with the service provided.

Justin came through and saved the day when I had a heavy pipe leak in the AM that my landlord couldn't be bothered with. Very quick, came within two hours of contacting and at a lower rate than other neighborhood shops who got back to me after it was already fixed. Highly recommend if you want a fairly priced, quick, painless plumbing experience!

Today the hot water heater blew its connection from the top of the hot water heater. Hot water was flooding my basement. I thought I would need to replace the whole hot water heater. Based on the reviews on Yelp, I called Tom's Plumbing & Heating Services. Justin picked up and ask me to send him some photos. He said he would be there within an hour and quoted me a price. He fixed the problems within minutes. Installed a new connection, check to make the pilot light was on and my hot water heater is working again. These guys are very good and I would definitely use them again and would recommend to my friends.

In the past, I have tried two other plumbers, but of the three, Tom's Plumbing and Heating Services is the best.

He will not only fix your plumbing issues, but he will get it right the first time. I messaged Tom's for a quote via Yelp, agreed on a date and time, and the employee Tom's sent was responsive and punctual. My toilet would not flush properly and he immediately identified the problem, replaced the part that needed replacing, and got my toilet flushing first rate again. He worked deftly and cleaned up after himself. He also patiently and politely answered my battery of questions in a way that I could understand, despite my complete lack of knowledge about how plumbing works.

I will undoubtedly call Tom's for future plumbing issues. If you're looking for someone to resolve your plumbing needs, have no fear, Tom's is here! Tom's is the best! Better than all the rest.
