I will never use Tom's Plumbing again. I own a house in Sea Ranch. The owner of the business is arrogant and insulting. Brandon, the office manager, who directs all the many very young assistants is also arrogant and rude. Because one of these assistants turned off the main power switch when he was dealing with my leaking water heater, and forgot to turn it back on at the end of his visit, when I arrived from Oakland that night, there was no power and I had no idea where the main power switch was located in my electrical box. I had no choice but to stay a motel in Gualala and have dinner at a local restaurant. From the motel I called Brandon, who claimed in a later text that he came out after my call and couldn't get the main power switch back on. Early the next morning I miraculously got Mehl's Electric to come and they immediately turned the main power switch back on with no problem. I requested that my hotel and restaurant expenses be deducted from my bill. They were not deducted when I received the outrageous bill (all they did was take out the leaky water heater). I have since learned that the Sea Ranch List Serve (for Sea Ranch residents only) has many, many complaints about Tom's Plumbing, and also, the most important contractor in Sea Ranch told me that he would never recommend them in a million years.

Rick and team have been really helpful as we settled into our new home - always available, super responsive, knowledgeable and resourceful in getting whatever the 60 yr old house (with a complex labyrinth of pipes, a well-tank-pressure pump system, septic and drainage system) throws at us done in a timely, conscientious way. Great back office team (tara has been super helpful!) and excellent customer service end-to-end. Throw your next plumbing problem at Tom's plumbing, I am sure they'll deliver the best solution there is!
