Cody just came to change out my washing machine box because the levers were impossible for me to move up and down. He said that he could spend 3 hours moving the box up, mess up my wall, and would put the same box and levers in as that's what's available now. So instead he WD40'd the levers, adjusted my pliers to fit the levers, and now this elderly lady can easily move the levers and have pliers to help if needed. So appreciate his honesty!!! Melissa was also great to work with in setting up this appointment. I HIGHLY recommend this company!! I have used them several times in the past and they are honest, show up when they say they will, and do great work!! Can't ask for more than that!!

Melissa in office was very professional setting appointment and following up with me to let me know Scott was on the way.

Scott was on time and very professional and knowledgeable. He patiently listened to my explanation of the situation I was having after replacing a Hansgrohe shower control cartridge and housing, and solved the problem quickly.

The details: I replaced an old Thermobalance I cartridge and housing with a new one. But then I wasn't getting hot water and I couldn't figure out why. I thought I had tried everything taking it on and off testing this and that and couldn't figure out what the problem was, and decided I needed a pro, maybe it was something more serious?

Apparently there was some orientation issue with the hot/cold spring loaded control mechanism on the end of the cartridge handle that was not working the way it was supposed to work because I didn't put it back on correctly! It was not apparent to me that there was more than one way it should go back on, it just spun around 360 degrees so how could it be wrong?!? It looked pretty straight forward to put back on, how could that be the issue?!?

I don't know how the valve control got pointed the wrong way, but Scott immediately figured that out, putting it back together correctly and then we had normal hot/cold temp/pressure. I felt foolish that I couldn't figure that simple part out, but the previous Plumber we had out couldn't figure that out either, and he wanted $1500 to put in a new shower valve!

When I heard that I suggested we get a second opinion. It was well worth paying the service call to get a lesson in control handle orientation, than paying all that money for a new valve. I thank the Plumbing Gallery in San Jose where I bought the Hansgrohe replacement parts, for providing me with Scott's number.

I also appreciated that Scott provided some advice on how to deal with a couple other plumbing related issues.

We took his card so we knew where to call in the future for any plumbing related issues.

Thanks Scott and Melissa!

These guys know what they're doing! I was referred by my sister in law and they were able to help me with the problem immediately and with great professionalism. They are honest when it comes to the recommendations and opinions they offer.

Our sink had been draining incredibly slowly for the past several years, so we decided to finally call a plumber. However, right when Tom arrived, we noticed that the water was draining perfectly. We don't know exactly how/why. As a result, he was only at our for a total of 2-3 minutes max, and didn't have to do anything. He still charged us $82. I understand that the mistake was ours, but how does someone feel like charging money, when they didn't even provide any service? I would understand $15 or $20 for the travel fees, but $82 seems like an egregious amount of money for doing absolutely nothing, especially considering we live in Saratoga where their company is based. If he hadn't charged us for this visit as a courtesy, he would have retained my future business. We have also used them in the past. This was disappointing to say at the least.

Really great service all around - working with Melissa at the front desk to set up the appointment and provide all the information, and then having Cody come out and spend the time to assess our issue and to make all the necessary fixes. Cody was professional, answered all my questions, installed a new water heater quickly and neatly, and fixed a leaky pipe and a non-draining tub while he was here. Really pleased with the work!

They provided good service in the past and I trusted them to replace
my water heater at a decent price. Shocked they charged $2400 for
less than 6 hours of work. Credit card? Pay more.
The invoice did not split labor and parts. PGE provides a discount
for $100 when a water heater is replaced, but they want to know brand,
cost, where bought etc. Called them. No response. Wrote a letter to
get the info. No response. No more ...

We were extremely happy with Scott repairing and replacing Kohler shower parts. He is extremely knowledgeable. It was very difficult to find a plumber able to repair this stack valve unit in remodeled bathrooms but only 10 yrs old. We are still amazed that they work so well now! Will definitely be recommended highly to anyone. Thank you Plumbing Gallery for recommending. We are 45 yr residents of W. San Jose.

Now, buying Kohler again is another story..... never!!!

I need to thank The Plumbing Gallery for referring Tom's Plumbing/Scott's Plumbing. I had a new toilet installed. Cody arrived at the beginning of the scheduled window period and completed the job quickly and cleaned everything very well. Cody was personable and answered all my questions. He was also able to fix another problem with my shower dial. I have found my new go to plumber.

Very disappointed. Called and was told to send pics to their cell phone so they could give me an estimate. I did. Never heard back. Called. Was told they were so busy and would contact me that afternoon. Never heard back. I texted to the cell and asked for a reply, either way. Never heard. Guess they are ""not hungry"" for business.

We have lived in Campbell for 48 yrs and have used several plumbers this was our 2nd or
3rd time using Tom's plumbing and they will be our ""go to"" plumber. We had several issyes going on old pipes, leaking toilet needed pipes replaced in garage and also added a new line to icemaker. Always prompt, cleaned up and reasonably priced. Thanks Scott and Cody
