Hired Tom Schaefer Plumbing for our bathroom remodel and the final product looks amazing. They guys they had come out (thank you especially Peter, Paul and Marco) were all very professional and worked their butts off. I never thought they would be able to transform our nearly 80 year old bathroom, but they did an awesome job. And they were able to work with my mother who can be very particular lol. Thanks to all at the office as well!

I have used them three times in the last 4 years. The first was to repair a leaking pipe. Two repair guys showed up and I was their second job after they installed a water heater. They did have to leave to get some fittings because they used their stock on the last job. They did a good job. I did have an issue with their billing because the office billed me for their time away to get the fittings. However, the office corrected that. The second job was to replace my sump pump by a different repair guy. He arrived on the scheduled day. I thought that he could have done a better cleanup job but his work was fine. The third job was to replace a hot water tank. I got a quote from the office and scheduled the job which was to be done in a week. I called a day before the schedule date only to find out I wasn't on the schedule. We rescheduled for the following week. Two different guys did the install. Their work was fine. I did require them to check for any gas leak in my presence. I used a different company once on a water heater job and there was a gas leak that I discovered after he left. Plumbers think that they are infallible. I always check their work. So for three Schaefer jobs, I had five different repair guys. I will probably use them again but have not ruled out trying a one man company.

Impressively unprofessional, completely incompetent zero-star worthy hack plumbing company.

1.) They will never show up on time, if they even show up at all.

2.) If they can't fix the situation, they accuse you of flushing tampons down the toilet. When you feel uncomfortable with the insinuation and explain that you don't use tampons, they will tell you ""well maybe the shits you are taking are too big"".

3.) If all else fails, they'll rifle through your personal belongings (for what reason is a mystery) when you're not looking.

4 ) Then they'll tell you that they can't figure out the problem, but send you a bill and demand payment.

That's the cliff notes version. I'm surprised they even remain in business.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!! DO NOT USE!!!!!!!!
We were scheduled to have a pipe under our kitchen replaced due to it being busted. The crew showed up said they couldn't do the work and left. My husband who took the day off work to be there called twice was told by secretary we would get a call back, no one called back. He called for a 3rd time and was told the owner would be calling him back....Owner never call back!?!?!?! Absolutely unacceptable customer service!!!!!!!!

I called Tom Schaefer plumbing to look at a toilet issue I was having. They came out and gave an estimate. We scheduled a date and time for the work to be done. When the time came, they never showed up. I called and was told it was too snowy to be up on a roof. Not sure why they never called to tell me this as I had stayed home from work thinking they were coming. They then said they could come out later in the day to do the job. After the work was finished, I was told someone would contact me the next day, as the problem did not get resolved. No one ever called me. Then 6 weeks later, I get a bill that has the incorrect amount.
Not sure what is going on at this company, but the lack of responsiveness and billing is no way to run a business.

I just want to say this is the most unprofessional business I have ever dealt with in my entire life I had a baby in my home yesterday and the guy turned on the gas line open to see if there was gas coming through the house my whole house smells like gas just to start number 2 he was supposed to call about home insurance warranty that we had and he failed to do that and call back later that day I called back the next morning chasing them to figure out what's going on and was told that they can't send a quote out until the following day there was two service workers here one stood with his arms folded and did not do a single thing while the other was on his hands and he's working I don't know if he can't write or read but he should have been able to give me a quote right then and there they both knew what was wrong with it they said it was the valve towards the pilot tubing so after dealing with them I was told that not only the next day they couldn't come out but they couldn't be here until the following day never again this business is very unprofessional and they didn't even call back just like the other review says so I believe that that's very accurate as is mine hope this helps everybody

I had a scheduled appointment to have Tom Schaefer Plumbing come to my home in order to provide me with an estimate for some work I need to have done. Not only did they never show up, they never bothered to call either. Not good customer service.

I made an appointment with Tom Schaefer Pluming to clean a gutter drain. The earliest date available was Thursday, October 5 after 12pm which I agreed with. I was told that they would call me before they came.
I took the day off of work. I waited and waited and I finally contacted them just before 4pm. I was told that they could not make it and they asked if they could come the next day.
I explained that I already took Thursday off but, I could be home by 2pm on Friday. They said that would be fine and once again they would call me before they showed up. So, I left work early to find that At 4pm on Friday, I had to call Tom Schaefer Plumbing again and I was told that the technician was busy somewhere else and could not make it.
They did say that they could clean the drain next week and I declined and told them that Tom Schaefer Plumbing is not a place that I want to do business with.
