We were customers for over 35 years. Once the second generation took over, their service, quality of work, and professionalism was lost.

I was told they would come the next day. I called the next day to see if they had an estimated time of arrival and a different woman told me they were too busy and weren't coming. Didn't bother to call me and cancel. She told me my problem would fix itself, and to call back in 2 days if it hadn't. She was ""just trying to save me some money.""

The issue didn't fix itself. So we called them back. (I regret this decision immensely, but we couldn't get anyone else out there at that point.)

She was quite rude and I told her I was not appreciative. She screamed that she ""WAS NOT RUDE TO ME!"" She told me that she would get someone to my house that day. I asked her if they would call before they headed to my house. She said ""Yes. We ALWAYS call before we head to your home."" A few hours later, I had a plumber on my doorstep unannounced. I shouldn't have been surprised that she lied to me. But I was.

He was here for quite a while and we thought things were fixed. My husband said the guy was super nice.

Three days later, on a Sunday, my husband went down to the basement to do laundry. He had to turn the water back on to the washing machine. He did one load of laundry, and the basement started to flood again. I called Tom Geise Plumbing, and expected to talk to a voicemail, but I got a lady who said she was working for his answering service. Told her my issues, and she said she would pass along the message.

At 10:22 am on Monday, I called Tom Geise Plumbing. The woman who had been so rude previously answered the phone. She told me that she had called me that morning, and was waiting on a call back. But since I never called her, she sent the plumbers elsewhere and no one would be coming to my house today. She also told me that the plumber that had been at my house told her that he had run the water, flushed toilets, and ran the washing machine before he left and we had no issues.

I explained to her that they had run water, but they had not run the washing machine, as we had to turn the water back on to it the previous day. (I don't think the plumber lied to her. She had already lied to me so many times at this point, she had zero credibility.)

She just kept repeating that I should have answered my phone and called her back. At this point I thanked her. I don't enjoy being lied to, and I really don't enjoy being lied to by someone that has been repeatedly rude to me.

I double checked my phone to make sure it was receiving phone calls, and checked my voicemail. My phone was in working order and I had no new voicemails. She lied again.

The next morning, in order to avoid a debacle from the previous day where the employee insisted she called me and I hadn't returned her phone call, I went ahead and called Tom Geise Plumbing at 8:03 am. I asked her if I had missed any calls from her. She responded ""No. I told you yesterday we only have one residential plumber, and he is busy today. He came in early. He's installing a sump pump, and he has other calls today. And he can't stay late."" I said, ""Ok, well, what's the plan?"" and she said, ""We'll call you when we have time to deal with you.""

I'd say I'd tell my friends, but coincidentally, a friend happened to call the same day, and got the same terrible attitude from the lady who answered the phone.

I found a professional service with a professional office staff and cancelled this company. We will avoid contacting them in the future, and retracting any previous recommendations.

We are having plumbing issues and called Geise. After 3 weeks of calling them and harassing them they tell us that our sewer line to the city either came unhooked or collapsed. Now to wait on them to contact the city to dig up the street and finally getting it fixed. Nothing like smelling sewer and not being able to do laundry as you need to because it backs up in your basement.

I used Tom Geise Plumbing a few years after he started his plumbing business in about 1980 and was thrilled to find, when
after moving back to Quincy, that they were still in business. They have been here a couple of times because this condo stood empty for two years. I have found them to be very professional, they do a great job and also answer my questions so I can understand what they are talking about.

I cannot say enough bad things about this company. We hired them to hook up multiple things in our new home and the job was done very inefficiently and poorly. They are highly unprofessional, especially the receptionist. She argued with me multiple times on the phone and did not apologize once for their lack of communication. She was upset at us when we told her the list of things we needed the plumber to do, as if they didn't want any more work from us. We were VERY disappointed and even more disappointed when the bill arrived. They are overpriced and lacking professionalism.

We use them for pool supplies. They've always been helpful and I'm glad to have an alternative pool place.
