Let me start by stating that Tony from TL Plumbing is a one-man operation. He can't do extensive jobs not because he doesn't have the know-how, but because he doesn't have the manpower. He does not do apartments, condos, or commercial locations.

With that said, Tony is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and persistent. I have called him on two separate occasions, and he has made time to come with no problems at all.

The first job he fixed several issues:
- A leaky shower faucet. The bathroom was remodeled in 2001, and was done incorrectly. A plumber that was used previously was made aware of the situation, but said it would be too big a job to handle and that he would have to tear down the wall. Although it wasn't easy, and took 2 days because parts needed to be ordered, Tony was able to fix the problem without tearing down anything.
- Brown water was coming through the entire house. At the main shut-off valve, galvanized steel was connected to copper causing rust. It could easily have been spotted by any previous plumber but wasn't. Tony was able to fix the problem easily.
- Tony drained the water heater and taught me how to do it myself. He also spotted a potential fire hazard near the water heater and remedied that as well.
- Installed a new expensive kitchen faucet I got from Home Depot. He pointed out to me that the previous installer had gotten lazy and had hoses under the sink too long that they needed to be snaked around each other. That explained the horrid smell coming from the sink.

On the second visit, nearly a year later, a valve under the bathroom sink was leaking and needed to be replaced. Despite being busy, Tony was able to show up that same day in the afternoon and fixed the problem.

In response to the one-star review where Tony must've had a bad day and got angry, I cannot see this from Tony. Tony is one of the nicest and funniest men I've ever met, he greets with a smile, tells a few jokes and stories, and talks about his family. He even remembered my workplace and told me he did a job for a co-worker of mine. He is a pleasure to have around.

I expected both jobs to be at least double what he charged me. His pricing is reasonable, he's dedicated to his work, and he's very personable. I'm glad to have found a plumber for life.

Tony, where have you been all my life? He came the same day I called. Lucky for us he was in our area and had some time. If we have plumbing problems in the future I would wait days and even weeks for him to be available. Such and nice, friendly, fair and knowledgeable guy. We had a mysterious pipe/drain in our garage that was letting water in but only when it rained. I imagined water some day coming up through the sinks, tubs and toilets because of that thing. Tony came to check it out and turns out there was once a shower in the corner of the garage, as a lot of the old houses here in Long Beach had when they were new, and this had been the drain for it. He figured it out, told my husband what to do about it (simple fix now that we know what it is) and charged us a very small fee for coming out and spending his time. Any other plumber would charge a huge, unreasonable amount of money just for driving to your home. Will never have to search for a plumber again.

I had a leaky kitchen faucet and a broken bathroom drainstop. Tony replaced the faucet with one I picked out from Lowe's and repaired the drainstop. He was very thorough and professional, and very friendly. He did some cleanup of mineral deposits around the sink so it looks better than when he started. I'd used him once before a couple of years ago to snake a sewer drain as well. His pricing is very fair and professional--reasonably low but not so low that you feel something's can't be right but not high so you feel you're being taken advantage of (with a lot of home repair issues I always feel like they feel they have me over a barrel--with Tony I always feel its a very fair and mutually respectful transaction). He also offered some advice on some other home maintenance issues and didn't seem phased by my annoying yappy dog. Quality work, reasonable prices, nice person to work with!

Highly recommended! Had trouble with our kitchen faucet. Called Tony late Friday night and left message. He returned call within 10 minutes and showed up early next morning as promised. He fixed our faucet in less than an hour and offered advise on how to maintain the plumbing. 5 star service indeed!

We had a big emergency....one bathroom and a big clog. Stuff coming up in the bathtub, toilet and sink. Nightmare. Tony came over right away, he snaked all the way to the street. It was super hot and messy, but he was very nice and helpful. He even came back a 2nd time no charge.

Honest, hardworking and trustworthy, in this day and age....that is a real bonus. Thanks Tony!

I saw the great reviews on Yelp so thought I'd try them. I left 2 msgs on 9/9 and 9/16 for a quote on a leak and so far they never returned my call. So one star from me!

A friend referred me to Tony, saying that he was a nice guy and very professional. Sure enough, Tony showed up promptly for this morning's appointment and was a pleasure to speak with. He warned me that the job might be complicated because of my pedestal sink but he was able to unclog the drain with no problem.

Tony rocks, he called me right back and was at my house within a half hour. I called a few others and he was the only one that called back at all. He had us all fixed with our backed-up toilet. He is quick, honest, and helpful.

Tony is a good dude. I am a huge Yelper when it comes to trying to find diamonds in the rough, and Tony was no different. Today is a Sunday, 6 pm and he just left my house. I called him at 415, he returned my call at 435, and was at my house by 505pm. He took the time to teach me how to clean out my main line using the tool he used so that i can do it myself in the future. And he is genuinely just a nice guy and it was just great talking to him. I would recommend him to anyone.
