Company Overview

Light commercial plumbing services. Gas water heaters.

Upon over two decades with the same plumbing company, that has now closed, we decided to start our own plumbing business. We work with the same contractors who formerly rely on the old company, and we are expanding steadily.

Rex embodies a kind-hearted individual. I handle his Yelp listing because he in the past assisted my family without charge during a tough time. He thrives in business because he prioritizes people over profit. If you live Daytona Beach and need plumbing assistance, I invite you to support his business. You can call anytime, day or night.

Very professional and extremely neat. They replaced my water heater and it was done in no time flat. The price was very very competitive and I had priced about 4 other local plumbers. I would recommend and I do recommend TJ when ever I can.

We have used TJ Plumbing three times. The work is fine. The first trip was $80 or $85 an hour. The second trip was $90. The third, the first hour is now $149.95. Keep in mind all three of these visits are within 9 months of each other. We will be finding another plumber!

I scheduled a time for them to come out and do a rough in for a Master Bath . I took off work that day, they never showed up , called them when they weren't there , said that they would reschedule the next day. I was told that they would call me after 3 o'clock that day to give me a time for the newly rescheduled day. They told me mid -morning. The next day,mid morning , they called to say they couldn't come and it wouldn't be until the following week . Don't use them if you're in the middle of remodeling depending on someone to be there , totally unreliable and undependable , no respect for my time and loss of money I sustained for two days in a row. If I could give them a 0 I would .

These people are phenomenal. Toby and James had extensive knowledge and debunked the plans of 3 other plumbing estimates I got. For instance, they're the only ones that actually knew where my main sewer taps were. Marvin and Bob are part of the crew that showed up to do the work. They were insanely helpful, respectful and really went above and beyond. The job consisted of some tricky home demo, shower plumbing, washer service and drain, new water heater and a handful of smaller details. Price wise, they came in above middle as far as estimates go, but they have been worth every penny. They'll be my first call next time I need plumbing work done.

Do not use this plumber, (unless you like completely wasting your time). On 2 separate occasions they did not show up to the job site, I waited an hour and a half and left. ( I left their contact info at home so I had to go home to call) after finally getting a hold of someone he then informed me that a part did not come in and that we would have to reschedule the job. Problem was he never called me to let me know. I closed my business(restaurant) to have the work done and lost a days worth of sales. Then they did it again 2 weeks later. Did not show up or even call to let us know the part still had not come in. Complete waste of my time and money at a time when my business can't afford it.

This has been one of the worst professional encounters I have experienced. It all started on the 16th of Jan. 2020 I received a call that some one will be out the next day. The 17th which was a Friday I called the tech back and he advised me he was fishing and that his boss gave him the day off. I just kind of said ok when will you be out. The issue at hand was a gas leak that the Fire Department and Teco Gas have already shut off for me. This could wait until Monday. On Monday the tech sowed up on time and looked at the issue and said it would be a two hour job ad I would have to pay today. I agreed. He left to cut some pipe attend another appointment ( per him ) and returned to complete the ob. He charged me for 3 hours and 15 min. that I paid. Than he told me he was not finished and he was unable to locate the line to the fire place, but he will be back tomorrow to inish it. Tuesday he came and found the gas line ( Tuesday the 28th) at that time he said he put his knee in a pile of dog poop that was in the yard and was going to leave and change and would be back on Thursday to finish the job, and that I will owe them more money - keep in mind I have already paid an hour a head of what I owed. I advised I could not paid that at the moment , tech stated they would bill it. meanwhile I still have hole in the yard and have rescheduled my day ( lost 12 hours of a work day and rescheduled the lawn man due to holes being in the back yard. He stated he will be by in the morning to fill the holes and mark the line. NEVER SHOWED at around 10 am I called the office and asked if he was coming they stated they could not get in touch with him and I should probably go to work and not waste the day again. Than the office told me that the job was marked completed and that I can fill in the holes. Confused as can be , I went home and marked the line and filled in the holes. On Sunday I receive a text from the tech with an apology , stating the job is NOT done and he will be here MONDAY. Monday NOTHING Tuesday I text the tech. and ask was Monday another miscommunication? He stated no and that the office wants to do his scheduling so please call the office. I called the office and scheduled for an appointment between 8am - noon on Wednesday. SURPRISE NO SHOW. In addition when calling the office since Friday the 31st of Jan. I requested to speak to a supervisor. Finally after blowing up on the kid at the office we scheduled a conference call for today at noon. NO CALL , so I dialed on repeat until someone in the office answered and did not hang up on me and I repeatedly left messages. At 1:30 I received a call from Rex who I explained the situation to and he stated that he and a different tech will be out on Thursday the 13th. The week delay in this time is on me due to my schedule.- However this has been a horrific experience.

I called TJ Plumbing to install a water heater and when the plumber installed it, he did not cut the copper pipe the right length. Instead of being professional and cutting a new length of pipe, he hammered the pipe with a wrench until he got it to fit. Now, the elbow is permanently damaged. To make matters worse, I had them install a dryer duct in the crawl space of my house. The plumber who did the installation did not appropriately fasten the ducts. The exposed portion of the duct that comes out of my laundry room wall actually slid back and forth about one foot. He also cut a very jagged edge onto the exposed portion so it actually tore any portion of flexible duct I tried to connect to it. Finally, when I received the bill from TJ Plumbing, they attempted to bill me for more time than the job took! I called them and spoke to the office manager and owner to present my concerns about the loose ducts, the jagged edge, and the overbilling. Instead of caring, I was actually berated on the phone by these extremely rude people and they never offered to come and fix the mess they created with the ducts. Now, the duct has actually fallen apart underneath the house because of the improper installation, which we noticed because we smelled smoke under our toddler's bedroom. I would highly recommend AVOIDING these unprofessional, uncaring, and unscrupulous people and calling a reputable company that gets the job right the first time and treats you like a valued customer.
