Todd B.These are really nice people who work hard to make sure they do right by their customers. I've had multiple interactions with their scheduling people and their on site workers for remodeling work and for maintenance and they've all been very professional and done solid work. I'll keep going to T&J!
Per some of the other commenters, as a caller, I think you need to be aware of the demand they may be under, for example, dead of winter in a cold spell, they may be getting a ton of calls for heater issues and they are trying their best to get to everyone. Be nice and they are super nice back!
Talked earlier today with Mr. Harvey, one of the owners of T&J Heating. I have modified my rating as a result of our conversation. The issue with the Fujitsu unit was related to an EMI interference from another appliance in the home. The manufacturer has been appraised of the situation. The other issue is being addressed. I plan to continue with T&J HVAC in the future...
We made the mistake of purchasing a new wall hung from them. Your told one thing, it is exactly the opposite. Everything from where theyplace the system will go to how much MORE the expense will be in your utility bills. We found the contractor they use for their plumbing was extremely rude. If you enjoy being spoken do to this is the guy. We found glue and dents on appliances during the install. Also, the installers were nice enough to leave parts of the old system in and out of the house. If you like picking up after these guys, they'll make it worth your while. We found that asking for a call back from Tim, one owner, is next to impossible! Once they have your money your screwed! Lastly, Toni-Office Manager-needs to retire or find another job. She clearly doesn't want to be there just by her attitude....Good luck with T&J
As I write this there are two T&J trucks parked in the driveway and three service personnel working on separate issues in our home. We are long time customers and have always appreciated T&J's excellent service. Every single T&J employee who's been in our home over the past 8 years has been highly competent, professional, and careful (they always wear the plastic covers on their shoes and lay out sheets in the work area to capture dust and debris.) Moreover, they are very friendly and easy to work with. They give us intelligent solutions to household issues and price options so we can choose what's best for us. You can't ask for more than that!
Beware before calling. They charge $230+ for a weekend call, even if they leave after 2 minutes. Inquiries about whether they felt this was a reasonable price were first ignored, then met with hostility.
One should certainly be paid for their time and skill, but $230+ for a 2 or 3-minute call, followed by hostility does not exactly make you feel like they care at all about the customer.
T&J are simply the best around. Always on time and on budget. All techs are a pleasure to work with and if there is a problem they are right on it.
I recommend T&J to my friends and neighbors.
Premal S.Service technicians are nice, helpful and knowledgeable. But, customer service at the billing and scheduling end is abysmal.
Caryn S.Terrific experience. Tim and his crew (Scott, Gator, Patrick - and whomever I am missing) were both professional and friendly. They responded quickly to my need for a furnace, arrived timely to install my unit, were very courteous, and left the job cleaner than they found it.
I highly recommend them because of their integrity, experience, friendliness, and competitive pricing. Thank you to the entire crew.
T&J was referred by my builder as the house was new and still under warranty. The air conditioner had started making a very loud noise when it came on-- like a jet engine on take off. They had someone (Jay?) to the house in less than 2 hours who fixed the problem within 10 minutes-- a large chunk of foam insulation had broken off, traveled through the duct work and gotten wedged in the AC fan. Very happy with their responsiveness and problem solving
Called them because we had no hot water. They sent someone out on a Monday, who advised replacing a bunch of parts, which I agreed to, since he thought these were the problem. Over the course of the next 4 days, we had progressively less hot water until Friday, when it was ice cold. Called them back and they sent out an emergency tech, who found that the first guy forgot to turn the valve for hot water back on. AND, we were told, the first guy hadn't fixed the original problem. So bottom line, we had two service calls and the original problem was never fixed, with a bunch of unnecessarily replaced parts. Called their admin to sort it out, and she was horrific. We now have a bill for ~$500 with the original problem never fixed. Pathetic. Never using them again.
