Answered all of my questions and made recommendations at no cost. I had scheduled a furnace tune-up, but when Sean F. came to do the service he pointed out that it was a rare type of set-up (a condo with a central boiler system and heat pump). Given the placement of the heat pump, he was unable to do a tune-up but gave me recommendations of things I could do to increase the heat in my unit, other companies that would assist with vent cleaning for my particular situation, and also walked me through the process of what it would cost to replace my heat pump when the time comes. He was very thorough and didn't mind listening to my uneducated questions - all at no charge. There was also no pressure to replace my unit - he recommended keeping it until it completely dies. I would absolutely go back to Tipping Hat when it comes time for a replacement.

It was the electrical scare tactic. Your house will burn down. If there is nothing else from the $8,000 dollars we spent learning that it should have been 3,000 from a qualified electrician who came by, it's that we are ""paying it forward""!!

My daughter had a ""supervisor"" come out on a furnace rejuvenation.
The price was supposed to be $259. She was told her furnace was leaking gas and had burn marks so it needed to be replaced for the cost of $5,000! She called me to let me know while the repairman was there, so I looked online for the average cost of a mobile home furnace installed for 2018. It was $2450. She was very worried that her furnace was unsafe because of leaking gas and burn marks. I called a reliable gentleman that had repaired my furnace, and he came out and cleaned her furnace and checked it. There were NO PROBLEMS with her furnace and he said it would last ""indefinitely"" with proper maintenance.
I think that scaring people into buying something is a very underhanded tactic and ""Buyer Beware"" with this company!

I am not really sure how my post got deleted but I was very disappointed in tipping hat plumbing called him out for a back up and I got quoted over $5000 to dig up my basement move my water heater for a back up took the bid was told I had a collapsed pipe which was a total lie the guy just didn't want to do the job called out Garvines got the job done he was here for a while I'll give him that but he didn't excellent job please stay away from tipping hat Applewood plumbing if you're going to go with the notable upstanding plumbing service go with Garvines or Lakewood plumbing and the job was done for under $225

Josh Wyatt, a plumber working at Tipping Hat, serviced my water heater today. He was great! Called to ask if he could come early; cordial and efficient; answered all my questions. While the water was draining from my heater, we had a few minutes during which he offered to answer any questions I might have regarding my house's plumbing and/or electrical functioning. That was a nice bonus! Tipping Hat installed my water heater 2 years ago and was great to work with then, as well. I highly recommend the company and Josh. Don Weinhouse

BEWARE!!! We moved into an older home in Lakewood and had sewage come up in the basement - just a little, but sent me into a panic. I called Tipping Hat and Liberty (who is a supervisor) came out. After some scoping, and pipe location in the yard, he gave me the devastating news we have damaged pipe under the porch and possibly further into the street. He showed me no evidence or options to further investigate. He quoted me a starting cost of $14,000 and said it could reach $24,000+ depending on what they find. He went over financing options with me, gave me a day they could start and instructed me not to use washing machine, dishwasher, etc. I made a call to a clean out company, so I could then schedule a camera scope to see what we were dealing with. Our Drain & Sewer came out to jet clean and the result.......? The result was that the cleaning company has their own camera and after the clean out, ran the camera all the way to the city sewer line - no pipe collapse!!!!! We just needed roots and gunk from former home owners flushed out professionally. We spent $475 instead of $14,000, and got to watch the live camera feed.

Had a CRAP experience with this company. I just needed someone to troubleshoot a sudden water-pressure issue in my shower.

The technician shows up late, came into the bathroom and instantly said he couldn't work on the shower at all because it was a 3-valve shower setup without some sort of scald preventer or something. Apparently it's a law. My house was built in '74 and we're in a subdivision of Denver/Boulder......this can't be such a strange request. Most of the houses have got to be built the same way.

In any case, he couldn't (and didn't) touch a thing. It really felt like he didn't want to be there and didn't want to work. He is probably correct about this scald preventer law.....but if this is such a big deal, why not vet this information BEFORE he show's up. If it's such a big deal that he can't touch anything....maybe discuss that before he shows up?? I took time off of work to be home for this appointment!

Next, we keep talking and his 2 ""fixes"" for my water pressure problem were converting to a 1-valve shower system, and/or putting in a Pressure Reduction Valve. Both were quoted as 4-figure fixes!!! Ridiculous.

To top it all off, he charges me $29 for a ""service visit""!! So I take time off work, he's late, doesn't fix or touch a thing, quotes me thousand dollar jobs for the fix and then leaves with $29 of my dollars!!!

I'll never work with this company, and will never recommend them to anybody. Sorry, this company sucks. Many more reputable, honest companies out there. STAY AWAY

I called Tipping Hat Plumbing to get an estimate on a new water heater. I was quoted $6500 for the installation of an on demand system. I called and spoke to the same technician, Liberty, the next day to ask about the price for an electric low boy, I was told that would also be $6500. Yesterday, I had an electric low boy water heater installed by another company for $1600.

The gentlemen who came to my house, took a look at my water heater with a pilot light that wouldn't light. Told me my thermostat was bad, bunch of junk about build-up in the bottom of my water heater caused it not to sense water there (bunch of B.S!). Also told me that the parts for my unit couldn't be ordered or bought because it was out of warranty (more B.S.)

He told me he'd send me an estimate but that really my only option was to buy a new unit for $3k (more B.S).

I told him no way, did some research, found out it was likely the thermacouple. Went to Home Depot, bought for $18 and replaced in an hour. WHAT A JOKE!!!

Rocky replaced a kitchen faucet, which I supplied.

Positives: I was able to get an appointment quickly; Rocky was pleasant and completed the work quickly.

Negatives: schedulers told me two different erroneous times that Rocky would arrive, and he actually arrived one hour beyond the window of time hat I was originally told; Rocky stated that the office did not tell him that he was supposed to do an annual plumbing inspection/maintenance; cost for removing my old kitchen faucet and replacing a new one was $421, which I find too high, though I paid it because I needed my kitchen sink back two days before Thanksgiving; the apparent company encouragement is to have their employees, once inside the home, upsell customers on things, like a $500 toilet re-build on a toilet that did not require that degree of work, and pushing the $5000 Halo whole house water treatment system to ""protect my pipes and plumbing fixtures.""

Message to management: you should soft-pedal the upsell.
